I think this location seems to be about the same as the one near us but the quality of the merchandise was much higher. I wasn't sure if that ticked me off or I was just impressed. For one thing, this location still has a full men's section, with lots of dress clothes and not just jeans, shorts and casual wear like ours. I mean a really large men's suits and dress clothes area! The other departments seem a bit more the way macy's used to be instead of more like a Burlington Coat factory like ours. I needed to use the restroom which was very clean and well maintained too. Kohl's usually does this everywhere so I should praise them for that. Many other stores leave the restrooms smell,y trashy and often have broken stalls and urinals. I thought they were a little light on staffing out in the departments but a whole team of workers at checkout and guarding the front door (whoops I mean greeting people). A few times we had questions but could not find anyone to ask. That's the only reason they did not get five stars from me today.

I bought two pillows with a buy one, get one half off sale. The pillows were $19.99 each. So I should have paid $30 for both, but they rang up as $19.99 each. When I pointed this out, she spoke to me in a super loud voice that she would have to increase the first pillow to $39.99 and sell me the second for $19.99. This is just insane and she continued to yell and scream at me in front of several customers. She kept saying "why do you not understand this?" It was so absolutely ridiculous.... The fact that she wanted to increase the price first and then her erratic child-like fit that she threw in front of me and others. District management: you have a large problem on your hands.

I've been in there a few times now and the store is always disorganized and dirty. The girl (manager?) that works in there is always in a bad mood. Today after waiting in line for and exclusive drop, I was 6th in line. The limit was 2 per person, she allowed her friends to grab more than the allotment, then she tracked me down in the store after I was able to get one item and accused me of cutting the line to get it. She called me out in front of all the customers and staff (for something I didn't do) and forced me to hand over the item where she immediately gave it to one of her friends in line. This is unacceptable behavior. I will be avoiding this store and company as must as possible!

I was blown away for starters by the customer service from multiple employees. One found me a shoe in a size that wasn't even on the floor, another brought a different size to the dressing room, and a third suggested a better way to complete my transaction! Now keep in mind the stuff here is brand name and higher end than, say, a Marshalls, but I still found a ton of good deals. I saw higher end brands like Tory Burch, Birkenstock, Democracy, and more. Staff was made to stand at the entrance to welcome the customers super sweet. So for people who have been to NR it's definitely a couple of notches above TJ Max but the model is similar. So there is section for male, female, kids clothing and shoes. They also have a home section along with jewelry, make up, perfume, sunglasses and handbags. Lots for everyone. This particular one has lots of parking and very centrally located. Prices are fair to the brands they offer. Oh I forgot they also have some snacks right near the check out. I think probably because it was Back to School time. They had one lady on the register, which made everyone even with a lot of items using the self-scan. This made the line crazy and clog up the front of the store. We went to the back of the store to waste some time and look at the books. When we came back to checkout things were fine. My daughter did think it was really cool they have a Kendra Scott section and a mini Ulta. Friend's niece told me the store manager hardly showed up to work and left the 2 part time shift…read moremanagers to cover for him. One of them was only 18 and doing the store manager's full time job for him! Friend's niece was also upset because a coworker's single mom had cancer and couldn;t always come to work on time. She said the store manager ranted about this coworker and had no empathy or respect for them. It makes me sad to think kids work in this environment.

So, I made my way to Bird Brain Apparel at Liberty Center, and let me tell you--it did not disappoint. The vibe of the store is incredible, and Troy and Jason, the two guys working today, were some of the friendliest, most genuine people I've met in retail. They made the experience even better! Bird Brain has a killer selection of clothes and an insane sneaker collection--if you're into sneakers, you need to see this place. And, as a bonus, they buy sneakers off you, too! If you're ever around Liberty Center, I can't recommend stopping in here enough. I can't wait to go back up and support their business again. Check them out!
