When visiting my family in Arizona, I was on the hunt for a matching Kendra Scott necklace for my mom. I had picked out two options for her online, and she ended up falling in love with one that was the exact same necklace I chose for my birthday. We were looking for the Melody Bird Gold Multi Strand Necklace, which was sold out on Kendra's website. We learned from calling another AZ location in Scottsdale that if a store had the necklace in stock, they could ship it for free within the state. I called the Kendra Scott Chandler store, and Penelope was the person who helped me. She went and checked multiple spots on the floor to find the necklace I described and verify the look was correct. Then she went over the shipping and payment details with me and even helped us get my mom's birthday discount. 3 days later, the necklace arrived, and my mom was overjoyed. We now have "twin" bird necklaces thanks to Penelope's help. Thank you so much, Penelope! Wow, I had a super friendly greeting from employee, Mandi upon my arrival at this location. This well lit, nicely kept store displayed the jewelry brilliantly. I was offered champagne to sip on as I browsed and explored the displays of necklaces, bracelets, earrings and other items. Yasmin and Mandi were so helpful to me as I pondered which metal, which style and stone would suit my needs. I selected the Lexi earrings with two slate cat's eye stones. I absolutely love Kendra Scott. However, I do not live anywhere close to an actual store. So when I found out there was one in Chandler Mall (on vacation), I was excited. When I walked in, I was greeted but throughout the experience, I felt very judged. I was wearing Kendra Scott earrings, so it's not like I was out of place. But as I looked around and went back and forth between some items, I just kept getting this awkward feeling. I didn't buy anything due to this experience. I will just continue buying all my stuff online. Nothing against the products or Kendra Scott herself, mainly because of the employees at this allocation. The store was clean and all the jewelry was nicely organized. I didn't realize the color bar was there because it's not one of the first things you see when you walk in. I'm visiting out of state and came in to Kendra Scott to purchase a gift. After 5 minutes of being there, I was finally greeted by a sales girl. No hello or welcome but she asked if I needed help. I said I was looking and by the time I wanted to say I do need help picking out a gift she was gone. I continued to look around for another 5 minutes or so, then I walked up to her and asked if there was someone else who can help me since she was with another customer. She said let me get someone. After a few minutes another sales girl walked out and just stood in front of me. Again, no hello or how can I help you? I was holding a necklace in my hand and asked her if you have the matching earrings for that necklace. She looked at me puzzled and asked What do you mean? I repeated myself and said matching earrings that go with this necklace. I even pointed out that the ones on the display were the regular gold earrings and I wanted the rose gold to match the necklace. She finally got it and said well I have to check. I said that would be great. Couple minutes later she came out to show me she found them. I said great, please ring me up. I told her these ara a gift so please include boxes. She rang me up and was putting the items in a bag and I said will you be giving the boxes? She said Oh did you want boxes??? This was the most frustrating experience. Your sales people need to be a little more friendly and maybe learn to say hello and welcoming. read more

Don't shop at the Chandler Fashion Kendra Scott location! As I am reading all the other negative reviews right now, I have discovered that I am not alone in feeling this way. I was a loyal Kendra Scott customer. I bought all the jewelry for my son's wedding at this store and they seemed happy to take my money at that time. Conversely, a couple of weeks ago, I used my birthday discount to purchase a KS necklace I had misplaced. When I got home an hour later, my husband had miraculously found the misplaced necklace so now I had a duplicate. I returned to the Chandler location the following afternoon and asked the staff if I could exchange the necklace for something else. The "keyholder" and manager (not wearing name tags) were equally rude and unprofessional to me. They talked down to me and embarrassed me in front of several customers. They would not let me exchange the necklace, took away my birthday discount, and would not even refund my portion of the purchase. Furthermore, the store manager was neither well-dressed or approachable. In fact, she appeared to be annoyed and condescending. She tried to avoid speaking to me at all, sending a keyholder back and forth to discourage me. When she did finally come out to speak with me, she suggested I give my birthday gift to someone else for a Xmas gift (regifting??!!). I was so appalled, as I have worked in retail myself for over 25 years and have never seen anything like this happen. I called the Scottsdale location and spoke to the store manager there named, Samantha. She presented as a lovely, personable, caring, and excellent manager who took the time to listen to/talk with me. She invited me to her store and once I was there, she refunded my portion of the necklace so I could purchase something else. I will now shop only at the Scottsdale location, or get my Kendra Scott jewelry at Nordstrom where superb customer service is the expectation. Corporate Kendra Scott - you should check out the negative customer service and unprofessional behavior of the employees at the Chandler store. With that manager at the helm as their role model, there may be little chance that the staff there will improve their customer service. I was in the Chandler store on Friday, December 8, 2017 in the afternoon shopping for something for my wife. I couldn't believe that not one of the women (girls) working there even acknowledged me or offered ANY kind of assistance! Every woman that walked in there AFTER me was greeted warmly and asked how they could be helped. Wow, talk about snooty! They acted like the crap that they sell is something special...it's basically costume jewelry with a higher price point and a fancy "name"! I have always loved Kendra Scott, I live in my necklaces everyday, but unfortunately today I had a horrible experience. The girl working the counter was so rude, was annoyed she had to help me, and made several rude remarks to me. I came in to use my birthday discount and also had questions about my necklace chain changing colors and wanted to know if I could get a new chain or if there was anything I could do to fix it and she was no help at all. I walked into this store excited to purchase new jewelry to treat myself after getting my blood infusion therapy. I have been sick for a few months and haven't been able to spoil myself. As I walk in I'm immediately told to leave and to wait outside because capacity is 7 people. As I'm waiting two people disappear into the back and don't return and I'm waiting 10 mins to be awkwardly told to come back in. The two women working in this store were not only unwelcoming but completely rude. My mask was too big for my face and again I was told I would need to leave if the mask didn't stay above my nose and I mentioned that I was sick and shouldn't even be wearing it but I still complied. She then proceeded to tell me a third time to leave and shop online. As a manager of a business I would never get on my high horse and degrade another human with a nasty tonality in my voice and make them feel as if they need to leave. I purchased the rings I wanted because I wanted to still have something to be excited about HOWEVER I will never recommend this location to anyone. Covid or no Covid the brunette and the blonde working the front desk on 9-17 day shift have no manners, no people skills and should not be representing any store. Disappointed in my entire experience however I love my rings and at the end of the day no one could not take away my attitude of treating myself. I love Kendra Scott but on this occasion at this location they were having a fundraiser for a high school dance team. The young ladies standing by the entrance when I first walked past the store were friendly & go getters! I told them that I would be back on my way out to purchase something to help them out. Upon my return there were two different young ladies by the door. Not only were they not even trying to attract customers for their fundraiser but one was on her phone blocking the entrance!! The dance moms were in the store yet no one said anything to this young lady as I witnessed several customers slide in beside her to get in because she would not move! I did tell the associate, who was very nice, who told me that it's been going on throughout the day like that & just shrugged her shoulders. I took my merchandise & squeezed by the young lady who never looked up from her phone or moved. Not a good representation of this dance group at all! If I were the store manager I would not allow them back. Just my opinion. read more
