She admitted that she had help from a professional interior designer and gave me Tina's email address. Tina worked with me to figure out what my goals were via a detailed questionnaire, what my style is, and helped me figure out what I like and don't like. I sent her a list of ideas and examples and she somehow turned my hodgepodge of ideas into a reality that came together beautifully. There was no way I could have ever gotten my home to the place it is now by myself. Having never used an interior designer before, I had no idea how much a room could be transformed. We never received the light fixtures despite numerous requests on our part asking for an update. Finally, on December 22, 2025, Ms. Lidstrom informed us that she is unable to secure and deliver the light fixtures for a variety of reasons that we later learned from her supplier are UNTRUE. We demanded both verbally and in writing that she refund us our money. She promised to refund us half of our money by the end of January 2026 and the other half by the end of February 2026. As of March 11, 2026, we have not received any payments from Ms. Lidstrom despite several reach-outs demanding payment. We have been more than patient and are now taking legal action to remedy this unfortunate situation.

I visited several furniture stores and was greeted promptly, was able to see an enormous amount of furniture, especially at Furnitureland South, where I placed a large order. I was still looking for four or five items and stopped into Britt Carter to see if I could find anything that I would like as I am in the market for high end to luxury furniture. I walked in on Wednesday and the girl sitting behind the desk did not acknowledge me, not even a "hello" or 'can we help you." I walked the entire store freely snapping pictures of items that looked interesting to me assuming someone would approach me. I was the only customer in the store the whole time. That didn't happen and when I left, the same girl did not even look up from her phone to at least say goodbye. Nothing said. I realized at that moment that this would never be a retail establishment that I would do business with. So right in the parking lot, I texted a photo of the beautiful item I saw there to my sales person in High Point and I ordered that exact item at a significant lower price from her. As an interesting side note, the artist/decorator I am working with in my renovation told me he brought a client into Britt Carter recently - he was looking for a lot of items and they were completely ignored as well. He assumed it was because they were in work clothes having just completed an installation at the house. The client refused to stay since he was not being acknowledged and they went down the street to Job Youshaei and the client spent $80,000. My decorator did call and speak directly to Britt about this but it doesn't look like things have changed. I'm guessing that, even though their sign on the outside says that they are open to the public, they really prefer to work with decorators with appointments. If that is really what they want their business model to be, that is entirely their prerogative, but be transparent about it. I would not return except to get some great photos of lovely furniture that I could actually order elsewhere for a lower price and exceptional customer service.
