He is a liar and thief who uses your company to scam and convince people to let him live there rent free and bring your furniture to their properties! To gain their trust! He had occupied my condo with your furniture, then left my condo damaged! I actually allowed him to buy a "house for his family" without credit as a favor and he used my kindness to financially abuse me and my own new business income! Instead of kindly telling me he couldn't pay before I traveled so I could have my rental ad up for my OWN marketing! We are now at a risk of losing $5500 because he cannot MAKE honest decisions! Based on this type of lying and behavior for your employees, I give you a ONE STAR for quality of talent and how they use their "employment" to secure rental properties then deplete the owner's finances! I will ONLY remove this post once he has paid me the FULL amount of missing income he stole from me! If this is the kind of business you operate, a family of thieves shame on you!

Both companies work with ultra-high end real estate, and have designers on hand to attractively style the home with furnishings. I was particularly partial to Phoenix because of Hannah. While the prices of both companies were comparable, the contractual terms were less favorable with Phoenix; however, I really liked Hannah. She has an art background, and does design for a living. She was impressed by the art in my unit, and knew a good deal about quite a number of them (impressive!). I had to commit to 5months of rent for Phoenix's furniture, at about $2200/month, even knowing my unit would sell in a month or so. 2 of the 3 bedrooms were staged, along with the public rooms. The alternative high-end staging company had a one month commitment of $5K, with each subsequent month being prorated by day (@ $2K/month). This alternative company didn't have Hannah, though, and her design eye. I took the bite and committed to Phoenix knowing my gorgeous unit would sell in a month (it did!), and I am glad I did. Thank you Phoenix Rising, and Hannah!

She does the whole job - cleaning (if needed), painting, and setting the furniture. She worked swiftly with her team, and with our sometimes difficult condo management team with ease and grace. She fit us into her busy schedule to let us get going quickly to list and was very quick to remove the furniture after getting a contract the first week. She and her team are careful and respectful of the common areas and also of our unit. Thank you!

Background: I…read morecurrently live in Los Angeles and decided to sell my condo in the Bucktown/Wicker Park community. I decided to stage my condo to make it sell quicker and my realtor stumbled on Rachel, who is the owner of Staging Sells. I obviously never had a chance to meet her since I live in Los Angeles, but had a quick conversation over the phone with her. Immediately she began to talk about her background. Apparently 17 years as an interior designer. Her resume on the surface seems legit, but don't be fooled. Payment: I found it odd that she requested ALL the payment upfront. Not even half now, half later. This is how she works. She initially wanted to charge me $2,500 to stage a 2br 2ba condo. We agreed to $1700 as the final price. This $1700 included fake plants, cheap furniture, air mattresses, and zero decoration/staging in the bedrooms & bathrooms. What is Staging? Staging allows potential home owners to get a feel for the layout and helps them envision how they can potentially layout their new home, right? Well, this is probably exactly the opposite of what Rachel and her 17 years of experience did. 1) The living room is the most important. Rachel staged it as if it was a lounge of a dentist office. She included cheap, stiff, uncomfortable white couches that were meant to be in an office. 2) The direction the couches were facing was the kitchen, what the fuck? 3) The couches didn't even face the TV. She claims that you can "lay down" on the couch and watch TV. If you ever have guests over, you might as well throw that TV out the window. 4) When was the last time you saw a Canopy style bed in a master bedroom that's small? Apparently Rachel thought it was a bright idea to include one. Not only does it make the existing space look small, but canopy style beds are meant for single family homes. 5) Bathrooms: nothing in there, it's completely empty. No towels, no rugs...we couldn't even use pictures because it looked so barren. Communication: Hard to get a hold of her. She's pretty stubborn when it comes to the layout and design. I kindly asked Rachel to re-arrange add/remove some furniture so we can relist the property. She wanted $500 bucks for this b/c she claims she needs to hire movers. I don't think it costs $500 to remove this cheap furniture...this is highway robbery. As an interior designer, I'd imagine she would have some sense of professional obligation to fulfill the needs and goals of the client. I trusted her by paying upfront that she would make appropriate modifications and work in my best interest. She failed miserably. She is a crook that gives zero fucks about her clients. She hoards cheap furniture and actually has zero sense on interior design.
