He suspected it was a board inside the phone. Said it could cost up to $300. Went to Best Buy and bought another phone but they couldn't transfer any data because I didn't have the password necessary to do that. After having a blank phone and none of my data, I decided to go back to CPR and pay whatever it would take to get my old phone working again. A different gentleman by the name of Jeremy was there. I explained the whole story to him. He took my old phone to the back and came out a few minutes later and said, "It's fixed". What?! You're kidding! "It was a simple fix", he said. All for only $35. He did not have the part in stock, but we agreed on a price and he immediately ordered the camera lens STAT. Two days later he called and said the part was in. I was on my way back from out of state. Once again, I got there toward the end of the day and he installed the part while I shopped nearby. The repair was successful and I was able to enjoy my vacation, taking photos as normal. I waited at the store for ANOTHER 2 1/2 hours only to be told that they installed the wrong screen and I need to leave me phone until Monday so they could install the correct screen. I said absolutely not, and they told me they cannot let me leave with the screen they installed. I said fine, and they were supposed to put back my old cracked one. For whatever reason, they did not put back the old one and I was told to come back first thing Monday (i.e. today). I turned my phone on, and it was missing the S Pen, it said NO SIM - Emergency call only, and it immediately overheated and turned off. I called the store from my husband's phone and was told to leave it off for a bit and the issues would resolve - that it was just because it had been heated up to remove the screen. I left it off for another 2 1/2 hours and still had the same issues. I called again and was told again to come back Monday (today). I came back in first thing this morning and was told it would be 4hours. It has now been 4 1/2 hours. I called and they said it will be another hour. I showed up 1 hr and 20 minutes later to be told the exact same thing - - "We are running diagnostics." I did not get my phone back for another hour and a half. For anyone not wanting to add this up . . . Saturday I was told 2-3 hours and it took 5 1/2 hours to get a BROKEN PHONE back that was not broken beyond an AESTHETIC crack on the screen when I dropped it off. On Monday, my second visit, I was told 4 hours, and it took 7 1/2 hours. While waiting for my phone I got to chat with 8 other customers who had similar OR WORSE stories about this place and their experience. This is completely ridiculous nonsense and the absolute worst business you can go to in my opinion. They give you BS explanations and time frames and don't give a f*** how long they take or if they RUIN your device. I cannot believe any companies (Verizon, Xfinity, Asurion, Verify, etc.) are willing to pay/partner with this business for insurance and warranty claims as, from my experience and in my opinion, this shop is a huge liability. My only piece of advice is to GO ANYWHERE ELSE. ** Also, be weary of any 5 star reviews - - based on my experience and what I witnessed with over a dozen other customers today, those reviews are likely not legit.

Also, 5 more customers came in after me, and they were waiting awhile also before anyone came out from the back. The employee knew there were customers waiting because the door chimes when you come in. VERY poor customer service.

The screen was dark and colors very muted, it had a pressure spot, and it wasn't very responsive. I called, he said that's just how it is. They also informed me that it was missing screws and clips inside from the previous screen replacement (Czar). I am not thrilled.
