I thought it was quite possibly the death of the computer, but an employee diagnosed my problem as a dying fan within a minute of seeing my laptop and hearing my story. They were able to order a replacement fan and install it for around $65 and the whole ordeal only took from the Friday I dropped off the laptop to the following Tuesday. They were very straightforward and got the go ahead from me for every additional cost fixing my laptop would require. No surprises. This is a responsible, trustworthy place to get your computer fixed. I am so grateful that they saved me from dropping $1500 for a replacement laptop all over an easily-replaced, dead fan. This sure was a disappointment. I downloaded a Windows update and my computer started acting…read morestrangely and running very slow. So, I took my PC to The Computer Guy (TCG) and he says my PC is fine and wants $30 for the diagnosis and another $300 to install a SSD hard drive. My PC is not fine, it takes almost 15-minutes to reboot, is slow and Outlook is not working despite reinstalling it and changing the email password multiple times. TCG said my Outlook problems was a GoDaddy issue (they host the email through Microsoft) so yesterday I spent 4.5 hours working with GoDaddy and they eventually said it was a hardware problem, exactly what I told TCG GoDaddy would say. I'm now hiring another IT company to remotely access my desktop and help me find a solution. What really bothered me about this situation was TCG asking me technical questions over my head when I am not a computer expert. It was like going to the doctor complaining about a pain and being told there is no problem because I don't know the cause.

The reset had worked and Mac was charging like new abs that it was only costing me $55. Score! Great customer service and I will for sure be back with any other computer issues we come across. My monitors would turn off randomly. So I brought it in and they diagnosed it, they said I had a faulty RAM stick and that windows was corrupted. They took the RAM stick out and repaired windows after 2 weeks. I brought it home and the problem was worse than when I brought it in after spending $120. I brought it back and they couldn't find anything else wrong with it so they just guessed that windows was still corrupt. They said they could reinstall windows but that I would lose all my apps and data (I did). They tried to charge me an additional $175 even though my initial repair was under warranty. I talked to the owner who agreed to reinstall windows for free which was very kind of him. After they wiped my computer and reinstalled windows they looked over it again and finally found the problem with my computer. One of the wires inside was frayed and broken. So I had to order a 50 dollar part from Amazon and they installed it for me. Overall, their process is sloppy, and they have terrible communication and customer service. If they had done their job correctly the first time I asked them to fix it, the multiple repairs and month and a half of waiting could have been avoided. If you're looking for a place to waste your time, money, and energy, this is the spot for you. I've had better experiences with a guy working out of his garage.
