Be aware of a policy unheard of by me in retail before now: I purchased batteries for a Fenix flashlight thinking that would restore the flashlight. When I bought the @$20 batteries I asked if I could return them. Was told yes, no conditions stated. I The next day in store the new batteries were tested ok, while the old ones were pretty low. Despite my having a receipt from the day before purchase, I was refused a return because the package had been opened. Then an attempt was made to sell me a new flashlight! Often I have bought a product obviously opened by a previous customer with no issue at all. This business has lost a customer. I will take my business elsewhere. read more

I stopped by the West Drake store to recycle some batteries. The store employee was rude initially telling me that I shouldn't have taped the batteries. He then went on to tell me that it was ok if it was clear tape. Taping batteries is the only safe way to transport or store batteries! He then charged me $4.00. When I said that I didn't know it cost money, he said "Well yeah". You can recycle batteries for free at any recycle center. Some places will even pay you! I have been a customer for years, even wrote a glowing review on how great they were about fixing my daughter's cracked phone screen. This time, I ordered a $300 key fob and a motorcycle battery. The battery had a 2 year warranty and I'd had it for 1 1/2 years. Apparently it wasn't under warranty. No one could explain why. I asked for my core charge refund. For some reason, they weren't able to do. I cancelled the whole order and wanted to talk to the manager. I told him I wanted my battery back. (I also now live 50 miles away). The manager refused to do anything. Finally he agreed to give me my $18 core charge, but now the gloves were off. I told him not to talk down to me, I knew what a core charge was. He got angry, told me he wasn't going to be talked to like that, and hung up on me. All this over $18 dollars???!!! read more

Due to unfortunate circumstances I had to bring my iPhone 6 into the shop for a screen repair. I dropped my phone down concrete steps and couldn't even touch the screen without glass shards falling away from the screen. I booked a repair appointment online last night and dropped my phone off first thing this morning. I was greeted with a smile and great service and I had my phone back about an hour later! My phone is in perfect working order and looks good as new. I didn't loose any information and I only had to give up my phone for an hour. I'm hoping that I won't have to have my phone repaired again, but if I do I will be back here for the friendly and fast service! UPDATE: Two days after my screen was repaired, it malfunctioned and got stuck in something called a 'boot loop'. The phone would not pass the apple logo screen and when plugged into iTunes was giving an error 4013 code. I took the phone back to this location and was told that it was a software issue and they couldn't help me. I should go to Simply Mac or Mac Shack in town... well since I had them do the screen replacement, neither of those places could look at my phone because it's against Apple's policy to have non-authorized places do repairs. I ended up paying Krash electronics in Old Town to fix the HARDWARE issue my phone was having caused by this screen replacement. UPDATE 2: Been a few months; haven't heard from Brad. read more

We needed a new battery for our Jeep and I called Batteries plus bulbs as we have purchased from them before. I asked for a price and he gave us a couple options, and offered an in store rebate and mail in rebate and free installation, saved $30.00 . We came over and they explained the options and removed our battery and installed the new battery , we were in an out in less than a 1/2 an hour. My Mom highly recommended this location so I paid them a visit. My remote to my car had died and I was stuck with the alarm going off, brought the remote in and they quickly determined the battery size. Had my I-phone 6 Plus screen repaired today. On a bad note, the first repair did not go well and my phone went crazy. I had to drive immediately back ( 30 Minutes) and then wait for a 2nd repair. On a good note, it seems that the 2nd repair is going to hold. I paid $170 for the repair. The gentlemen who work there are very very polite. Never blinking an eye when I shared my frustration. Things happen with electronic devices. I was impressed with their professionalism and they did drop everything to fix my phone when I returned. Took my grandson here to see if he could get his Samsung S5 phone repaired. The pins in the charging port were damaged. The salesperson was extremely courteous and helpful giving us an $80 repair option or an $18 portable battery charger! (Requires removal of battery from phone). Since his dad is out of the country I was very pleased to have the $18 option until a permanent decision can be made. He was friendly and knowledgeable, even offered to recycle the empty cells and reminded me that I could bring any expired batteries to their location. Very Rude employee. I had a CR2025 battery that needed sodering tabs on it. The "expert" did it wrong and when I told him that, he got mad. Then on checking out, he tried to charge me for the battery that he messed up on. I told him I wanted my money back and he was very rude and was muttering under his breath about it. I had this store rebuild a pair of NiCd batteries for a cordless drill. The rebuilt packs worked well for about 2 months, and rather quickly couldn't hold a charge. About 14 months after the rebuild, they're pretty much shot, while they lasted 10 years when new. If you want a rebuild go somewhere else. read more

If you want the battery replaced in your expensive watch, I'd recommend going elsewhere. I had mine replaced here, and, although the repair was inexpensive and the watch started working again, the waterproof seal is now shot. The watch "fogs up" internally on a daily basis, making it unreadable and un-wearable, as a result. read more
