brought my Supra 2JZ iron block here because a previous shop screwed up the deck surfacing, too…read morerough finish probably because dull cutter and/or too fast feed rate. I was recommended this shop by a BMW repair shop, so i figured this shop can knock out the inline 6 no sweat. They resurfaced the deck to the smoothest finish they can and it's crazy good ready for MLS gasket. Reasonably priced for a deck resurface and oil bath after (previous shop didn't even do that). My coworker also sent his son's honda engine to this shop for full rebuild bore and hone with sourcing the oversized pistons.

Incredibly rude. Treated me like I was bothering them for coming into the shop to ask about giving…read morethem money for services. Refused to even look at the cylinder head I brought in, just told me they didn't work on aluminum heads and they refused to check the cams to see if those could be salvaged. That's fine, its their prerogative on what they can and will work on. But it could have been handled so much better. Someone up front with an ounce of empathy could have explained they didn't do that and made me ok with and gotten a chance to earn my business for next time. Not this guy. So I won't be back.

These people that run this place are very rude and nasty. I asked them if they could do a…read moreparticular engine for me and this rude guy told me no, they had no time. OK I get it, they have no time. Then I asked him, if you did have time how much would you charge me. The rude guy told me ''I already told you I'm not taking your engine so I not telling you the prices'' ... who does that?? so rude and nasty, that's not great service. I don't think that they have so much work that they think they can be rude and nasty to anybody because they can afford it. Every business rises and falls, and there will be a time when this jims place will fall and they are going to wish man I should have been more nicer and professional to potential customers.
