I had new gutters and downspouts installed on my house, both in the front and the back, in May 2022. The estimated cost for the work was $1,200 for approximately 20 feet of gutters and downspouts. Though I asked them use better material and clips, their material were of cheap quality (thin flimsy aluminium sheets and generic clips as fasterns) After three years, I was forced to replace part of the downspouts because the material used as well as bad workmanship. Additionally, the clips or fasteners used to secure them were also weak and unstable. I am currently replacing the downspouts with a different company. read more

I don't know why it took me several heavy rains to realize my gutters were clogged. I didn't want to believe it since I had gutter guards, but I finally did. I had seen their truck at my neighbor's house earlier in the week and after another heavy deluge realized I should've booked them. As it turns out, my neighbor had been referred to them from another neighbor. I called their office and was able to schedule an appointment a few days later. I hadn't called a service like this since I had the gutter guards installed but I was impressed with all the questions they asked about my gutters, the size of the home, type of guards, style of house, make of roof shingles and siding, etc. They provided me a quote over the phone, which I agreed to, and told me I didn't need to be home and they would mail me an invoice after the job was done. True to form, they did exactly as they told me. Let's be honest. It wasn't cheap but you get what you pay for. Removing all the guards, cleaning the gutters, unclogging some spouts, and then putting the guards back takes time and effort. I was on my 3-season roof for another reason and noticed everything was put back and cleaned as promised. I would rather give my money to a mom & pop operation than a chain who would do it for less. read more

(I live in Central NJ, don't know why it's coming up as Philadelphia) I hired this company to clean the gutters on my home. While they were there they dislodged a part of my gutter from the downspout. I don't believe this was done with malicious intent and was probably taken apart for cleaning by the team, who forgot to put it back together before leaving. Last night it rained quite a bit, and this caused a gush of water to come down on my back deck, leaking into my basement as well. I called the company then, no answer. (Giving them the benefit of the doubt since it was after business hours). Called again this morning to be told by an incredibly rude customer service rep that the team had not moved anything, they don't even have the ability to do that, and that she can schedule a repair team to come out and give me an estimate. An estimate to repair something that wasn't a problem before your team arrived??? Absolutely not. At the VERY LEAST this should have been repaired on Keltom's dollar, as I now have to worry about the damage caused to my basement. We recently contracted with Keltom to perform cleaning and repair services, and we are extremely disappointed in the workmanship and communication throughout. Contrary to what is advertised on their website, Keltom performed the work in a rushed and haphazard manner, did not communicate with us effectively, and ultimately left sharp metal debris and oversized staples on our front lawn and walkway. The customer service was good at the beginning but steadily got worse as the sloppy work built up after each visit. Moreover, at one point a representative told me that his workers are over-scheduled every day, so they have to rush in and rush out of every job. When they left metal and staples on our property, I asked to speak to the owner and was simply told "no." So I asked for a discount or refund, and was simply told "no." VERY shady operation!!! They sounded great on the phone, but when push came to shove, everything changed. This would have clearly been a contract job and they refused to offer one. What they did do was offer to drive the 40+ miles to give a "better estimate" and if I turned it down, I would be charged a "trip fee". I offered to send photos so they'd have a good idea of the work to be done and they didn't want them. Naturally, this opens me up to a much larger fee for the work. They also offered a "cash discount", but I later found but that they meant CASH...greenbacks! In the last year, I did a $15,000 basement job and a $2,000 front door combo job and 10% discounts were given for paying with checks. It's pretty clear to me that Keltom wanted cash so they didn't have to claim the revenue and pay taxes on it. They may do good work, but I'll never know. Crew came out for our annual gutter cleaning. After several tries due to freezing weather, they returned and did the job as expected. But I cannot recommend this company. During one try, the crew left with our garden hose running, flooding our backyard and wasting water. On the final attempt, they left bags of gutter debris scattered in the yard. We hired Keltom to replace gutters around our front porch. They left brackets dangling and screws that didn't screw into anything. They did ultimately repair these issues but the real problem was how ugly their work was against our landscaping. There was no effort made at all to conceal the gutters. When we tried to engage them on alternatives to make the work they did look less ugly given it was front and center of our house they told us they don't consider aesthetics part of their job. Great outfit for more than 10 years, but no more. This summer, an apparently uncleaned third-floor gutter filled and gushed out along its midsection during a rainstorm. The rainwater cascaded down the roof into the garden and then pushed a bunch of mulch and dirt into the driveway, where it clogged up the storm drain and caused problems we had not had before. When we called the office the next day, the woman who answered the phone said -- it's 30 days since our service, your problem, go away. So we still have a gutter that won't drain and need someone to deal with it. Last year, we had asked to be notified online and not by mail of the service date because we were going out of town and knew that timing is all, given the foliage here. Got the same hostile person on the phone who said, tough, we don't care about your problems. Again, the service was reliable and responsive for many years, and we genuinely liked the people who did the work. But we can't count on Keltom now. We're done. read more

I have two story house and needed my gutters cleaned. My gutters have a cover that prevents most leaves and other debris from entering but I figured the gutters needed a cleaning. About 6 months (approx November 2018) ago I found Keltom on HomeAdvisor/AngiesList. They seemed very professional and responsive when I called for an estimate and showed up as promised to do the work. The job was not good. They didn't clear the gutters and in the process they actually made things worse because they left piles of debris in the gutters and now water flows over the front of the gutter instead of down the spouts. To their credit when I called and told them, they said they would send someone out. I don't know if they did or not I never saw this person. I did get a call from Keltom a few days later telling me that someone had come out to fix the problem. Fast forward to May 2019. I had another contractor out to give me an estimate on other work for my house. That contractor had access to my roof and mentioned that my gutters were clogged. He took pictures and showed me the leaf build up. The level of build up could not have occured in the six months between the cleaning and now mostly because the trees had no leaves at that point AND because my gutters have covers on them. Clearly Keltom did a horrible job. I suppose I could call them and have them come back again but at this point I have no trust in them. They were given two chances and didn't deliver. The installer used our patio table for a work table and scratched it. Repeated efforts to rectify were denied and we were told they didn't use the table despite a screw and piece of mesh left next to it. When the gutters continued to gush and a tech came back to check it and add a shield, we were told it was installed incorrectly, yet when a supervisor came back to check he denied that. Had them back to give them a deposit three days later and the price increased by $200. I called the office to inquire about this and Beth, the owners wife, told me the new price was the price. I recently relocated and hired this co to clean my gutters and upon return from work found some roof shingles bent and that is not even why I am peeved. I called and explained this issue. I was advised they could not send someone for 4 days. I asked that they come when I am home so off hours non business hours. They refused to accommodate my needs as a customer and even after I advised this would be a one and done service if they do not put customer needs first which they do not. I also asked to speak w the owner or someone in charge and guess what that person does not exist apparently. So the employees just doing whatever without supervision. Don't waste your money with this company if you are thinking of getting your gutters cleaned. 2 guys came and were here all of 5 minutes and left a huge mess at the bottom of both the front and back drains off of the gutter. When I called to complain, the guy I spoke to had absolutely no customer service skills and basically told me that what i was seeing was normal run off and isn't probably more than 2 handfuls of debris. Meanwhile it is obvious the 2 young guys didn't clean up ANY debris... I wish I could post a picture of the mess they left. I was made to feel that my problem was so minimal and that I was wasting his time. On their website it clearly states under gutter cleaning, "we also bag and remove all debris from premise." Clearly not the case. After calling back and complaining more to a different person, they are taking $10 off which I still think it not enough for the 5 minute messy job they left and not to mention I still have to go outside and clean up! And when Beth called me back to tell me they decided to take 10 off, she indirectly stated that I was wrong about what the guy told me on the phone about sending somebody out to clean it up. We have been using Keltom for 6 to 7 years with service that met expectations. They performed their semi-annual service during the week of Dec 5, 2016. We had Christmas lights put up on our house before that week. As part of the service, Keltom's professionals knocked down lights. I called to ask how they would remediate. The woman representing the company responded very quickly and abruptly - that they would do nothing. Needless to say, I discontinued my service at that point - and she said - Ok - goodbye. Clearly, they don't care about their customers - especially a recurring customer (service twice a year for several years). This is a commodity service with many, many service providers providing similar service - with customer care and service being the differentiator. They were awful. I just moved into the area and bought a house. I contacted Keltom to clean our gutters based off of Angie's list and Yelp reviews. They were scheduled to come out on a Tuesday. They came out, but because my water was not turned on (in late November), they did not do the work. They said they would come back within 72 hours. A week and a half later they haven't come back, I never saw my gutters cleaned, they said they leave a blue door tag with a bill when they do the work, we never got a tag, but today I received an invoice for $175. Their receptionist has been nothing but rude and unprofessional and for the money I think there are plenty of other options out there that will show up and do the work and cost less. I do not plan on contacting them again and will not recommend them to anyone else using this service. Go with some else, you'll be happier for it. read more

Unfortunately we were very displeased with Keltom's professionalism. They came out for service when we were not home, and when we went to use our outside water valve, we found it broken off and the water turned off. The technician never notified us, but none the less left a bill. When I called to complain, the supervisor didn't believe us or offer to make the situation right in any way, our complaint was ignored because the technician denied the conduct. We have used them for the last couple of years since our last gutter cleaning person retired. They come while you are at work, which is good but not good. The last time we had them come, this past December, my husband happened to be home but they didn't know that. Not only did he never hear them when and if they were here, but we have two dogs and they didn't seem to sense anyone being here. I only know they were supposedly here because I received a bill. Glancing out one of the upstairs windows, it looked like there was still debris in the gutter, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and figured the leaves might have landed in there after they were here. Two weeks after their alleged cleaning, I noticed one of the downspouts was partially off and when I pulled it off it was completely filled with debris. So much debris that it makes me wonder if they came that time or if they had come 5 months prior when they supposedly "cleaned" the gutters. I won't use them again.
