Out-of town friends invited us for a cruise dinner in Kelowna. This had been on my list after visiting kelowna for the first time so I was excited to experience this. The boat itself was nice, we were welcomed by the crew and went upstairs to the cash bar area for drinks while chatting and enjoying the view of the lake while departing Downtown Kelowna. Prices were regular bar prices. We passed so-called highlights from kelowna and saw amazing homes on the shore. Our dinner was "buffet style," the food itself wasn't too bad. Presentation definitely could be improved. A big bowl of salad and some bread rolls, nothing to make it look nice. The tables were bare, no table cloth, not even a little vase with flowers to make guests feel they're having a nice Saturday evening outing. Like I said: the food wasn't too bad. It was the lack of care given to the whole experience. It felt like "get your food, eat and we're done." We all felt this experience could've been elevated by small things. A bit of commentary on the lake, the houses we pass, a bit of everything could make this a lot more special than what it was now. Felt like a missed opportunity of this company. Not sure I'd recommend it. read more

If I can give negative starts I would... I don't take lying lightly neither should anyone. We got there 10 min before the boat leaves.. not late. We get there and they (Bailey the manager) and the captain (John O'Flatterny or whatever) say that there are no more seats upstairs.. if you look at the boat the restaurant eating is clearly downstairs... no one was seated downstairs... As someone from California where racism isn't taken lightly.. this felt a lot like racism as they tried to seat us at the bottom of the boat and everyone else sat on the top.. they then claimed first come.. first serve.. very understandable except the two people that came after where immediately allowed upstairs. Then after a few arguments about refunds and how unacceptable the seating was downstairs... they allowed us to look upstairs.. where we found two benches open and the table the ladies after us who got to sit on... we ended up fitting upstairs and would've fit way more comfortable if we where allowed upstairs from the start. Regardless the profanity that was contained in the music being played was very unacceptable as their are kids other than our own on the boat... Out of respect for the parents and children, real costumer service would not include load profane music. I would include videos but yelp doesn't allow.. but on the boat it has music playing with f words being said left and right. The Manager was very rude and even wanted to speak to only one person as we complained.. meanwhile her co workers are smiling and making jokes about the situation. We end up calling the owner.. as everyone knows "the customer is always right," that's what good service includes but instead this service included the owner yelling and claiming it was our fault for getting mad and yelling at the manager (which we had every right to be furious) Then said we should go back to where we came from! And then ended the call on our face. All in all if your anything but caucasian.. don't come here because it's where racism lives. boat it also pretty rusty and rough all around... not the best place and a waste of money.. i'm sure you can find any decent place compared to this dump read more

We went on a Kelowna Cruise last night, May 17th, 2019! It was the best ever!! The staff were very sensitive to the needs of everyone! The cruise itself was awesome and viewing the millionaire homes was a first for us! The captain shared stories and events about the homes which left an impression on all of us! It was my sister's anniversary and she and her husband were given congratulatory greetings by the captain and team! They came to Kelowna from Fort St. John BC. So the extra care and attention they received was very impressive. We were SO impressed to see the captain clearing tables and still taking excellent care of the passengers! The steaks and salmon were cooked second to none! We ALL thoroughly enjoyed our meals and especially appreciated the generosity of the team!! Super excellent service! We recommend this cruise in every way! read more

I didn't have huge expectations from reading past reviews but we had bought a Groupon and didn't want to waste it. The cruise was great, we were out on the lake 2 hrs but we did not eat until nearly docking and they ran out of food. We were the last to eat and there was a piece of chicken, a cold steak and a bun left. They were hastily making up a salad for us , so did get a spoonful of that. So..don't go for the food, it'll be a huge disappointment. We did have a member of the crew giving a few informative talks but it was hard to hear him , suggest a bit of a mic so everyone can enjoy the info. Shoestring operation at best. read more

Do not book this company for your event. Within 2 weeks of booking our event that was 9 months out we had to cancel and the owner did not return the deposit or answer any of our emails. Very unprofessional company that places no value on customer relationships. We rescheduled our event for this year and did not include their boat cruise in our plans. read more

6 of us did the dinner cruise last night and we were very happy with the staff, the music and the tour. On the downside, the website was quite frustrating to use and the food could have been fresher and more tasteful. A gratuity was charged on the food without our knowledge which made the price that much more painful on a less than satisfying meal. We would do the cruise again but without the meal. read more

We were on this boat tour for 90 minutes. When we boarded the boat the workers were not welcoming or friendly. Other than giving the required safety speech there was no narration or information about the Okanagan Lake or the surrounding area. The music was very loud and not enjoyable. It was just a 45 minute boat ride up the lake and 45 minutes back. Disappointed! read more

We found the website for booking tickets confusing. Thought we were paying $40 for cruise and dinner but apparently it was only for the cruise. They gave us a discount on the dinner at the ticket booth which was a good thing because the food was bland and tasteless and no dessert. The cruise itself was good and so was the music entertainment but seating was very limited and hard to eat a meal like that standing up, not that it was worth eating. And then on our final bill we got charged food gratuity and GST on what would have been the full dinner price not on the discounted price. Where is the option of no tipping if food is bad and it was buffet style so no service? read more

This was the worst cruise I have been on, the food was terrible the presentation of the food was terrible, the staff was uninformative about anything, no narrative about anything, to go upstairs was very oxward, Would never never go on this ridiculose cruise again, please don't call it a dinner cruise. Kelowna has so many tourists from everywhere, you would think you could do something better than this. On the cruise at the same time was a bus full of Chinese people, I wonder what they thought, none of them ate anything, they looked in disgust. Get a Dinner Cruise, that is a proper dinner cruise with proper staff offering coffee, tea and drinks on the main floor, a proper dining room with pleasant trained staff. read more

Mike has owned Kelowna cruises since 2010, originally buying The Lake Lounge on Okanagan then acquiring The Boardroom in 2015. One of the active Captain's, Mike loves the water and Okanagan Lake. Mike has wife and two little girls. In the off season he drives a school bus.

Given all the choices in the neighbourhood within a short stroll, you may want to explore, but also understand the best choice might be in the hotel you're staying at.

The bathroom is a little snug, given the door brushes the front of the toilet. The bathroom is a one person at a time deal unless you're fine with close proximity bathroom habits. The bed was comfy, which is always a big thing for us. The breakfast covers all the bases, and although not memorable, offers a good variety to satisfy most seekers of the most important meal of the day. Location, comfort, nostalgia, parking, walk ability and you have us interested. Add great staff and you have a gem overlooked. Don't tell anyone though please.

I stopped by at 5 when the restaurant was open and there a line up outside the door and for good reason. Happy hour! Good food, cheap beer, good service and a great ambiance. They even have an arcade upstairs alone with a bowling alley! This place was amazing. I had their smash burger (it is only one patty on the happy hour menu) along with a beer and my friends had the wonton nachos and wings. The food was very good. The beer was pretty cheap for happy hour and there was quite a rush. I quite enjoyed my evening here and can't wait to come back!

I read the other reviews below which were not great but decided to go on the cruise anyway as it was the best way for my young family to get out on the water. WE HAD A GREAT TIME. Considering what you get it is great value for money, a cruise like this would cost double the amount anywhere else in the world. The staff were great. As far as narration goes, did any of these other people stop and think that maybe some other guest dont want to hear any narration over a loud speaker, if you have been on a bus tour or boat tour before you would know what i'm talking about. It gets very annoying after the first 5 minutes, You a on a beautiful lake with amazing views, if you want some information just go and ask the staff, I did and they were very helpful and informative, i fact they told us all about the Parasailing and jet boat adventure and how it was a great family activity, based on there advise we had an even better day. As for the food it was pretty good considering the kitchen that they have available. If you want warm food dont wait to be the last one served, If you want to food to be presented nicely take a look at the presentation before everyone digs into the buffet. In a nut shell, some people just look for anything to complain about. This is amazing value for money and should be enjoyed by everyone that visits Kelowna. read more

this is a boat to get married on....you only have to hire the best wedding director and the best dj and the best decorator (which they will recommend for you) and you and your wedding party show up with 80 guests and they will feed and entertain you on the most romantic cruise full of beautiful scenery...and amazing people that run your wedding perfectly. the food is cruise ship quality and the atmosphere is classy sophisticated and lots of fun. you can request to get your ceremony on the boat or stop on a beach..no matter what you are guaranteed to have a memorable time and the best pictures with a view of the water everywhere you turn. the captain will treat you like royalty and the crew will cater to your every need. if you want to get married tommorow you can do it stress free if you get married on this boat..this is the place to be to entertain classy guests at a really great price! how do i know this?? i have had many brides hire me to direct weddings on this boat and everyone that works on it is like family and will guarantee you have an awesome time stress free... cheers to everyone! president and director of high class weddings and special events (since 1999) l.m. read more

I would recommend Kelowna Dinner Cruises to anyone. I work in the tourism industry and constantly recommend the cruises to all our guests. My family and friends quite often go for cruises as well as dinner cruises as we have always been made to feel at home and nothing but welcome there. The food and atmosphere are fantastic and so much so that my husband and I have made it a tradition to go on a dinner cruise for our Anniversary every year. Even if you just want to get out on the water for a couple of hours and relax and enjoy the scenery this is a great way to do it. read more

We work on the boat from time to time playing music as well as we quite often go on as a group for dinner and a cruise and at times in the middle of the day just to be out on the water and relax. We have always been treated with fun, professional staff and made to feel at home while on the boat and afterwards. We would highly recommend either a cruise or lunch/dinner cruises. This was an awesome dinner cruise with captain Sherman, Stretch the bartender, Courtney the cook and Cody the mate. They were very friendly as we boarded and went to the bar and were great to talk with. The food was great and Mick the Mango was great belting out the tunes. The food tasted great and there was lots to go around. The company we met and sat with up top were great and we had many laughs and dancing on the dance floor. I have been on a couple cruises in the last 2 years. The Crew is always very helpful, The Captain is awesome, he mingles with everyone and has people laughing. Th band playing was exceptional. We did different tours so you got to see other parts of Okanagan Lake that you may not have otherwise seen and the price for all this was so reasonable that anyone could do it. We did the afternoon cruise on a very hot summer day. It was a unique way to see the city and shoreline from the water surrounded by all the other boats and seadoos etc. The friendly crew served us a tasty lunch and they had a full bar service which added to the fun as we tried out many new drinks! Definitely a MUST DO when visiting Kelowna! Everyone was very upbeat! My adult "kids" were duly impressed. Thank you! read more

I had a GREAT time on this boat cruise! Our chef Luke prepared a meal that was really scrumptious!! Our food was tasty and servuce was efficient. Staff was really friendly and made our group feel welcome. The live singer performing upstairs really set the vibes for a wonderful cruise. Two hours went by soo quickly! Capt. JC and his professional crew provide one of the best tourist and corporate experiences in the Okanagan. He arranged our school's 10th anniversary party and it was a huge hit with staff and students. The these night cruises are also excellent with the Floyd Vedan band and the Blue Heelers. Took my son on a mommy and son date night on a dinner cruise. It was a great time, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I had the Salmon and it was delicious. This is not a guided tour but a great and fun way to get out on the lake and see Kelowna from the water. It was beautiful and I cannot wait to go again this year read more

I have been out on this boat several times. As a local it is always a favourite to get out of town guests out to see the beauty of our city like they can no other way. The boat is state of the art and safe. Staff is courteous, fun, yet professional. The food, especially the BBQ'd salmon is excellent. Overall fantastic value. read more

I joined a family group to take this cruise and were very impressed with the ambiance and attitude of the staff/crew. Bonus was the delicious meal and music. Will have to try all the various entertaining groups, and the other dinner options. Looking forward to enjoying more this coming season. read more

Two friends , my wife and myself went on a dinner cruise on this floating restaurant, and had a relaxing afternoon cruising on Okanagan Lake. We enjoyed a great meal and some musical entertainment. The crew were very friendly and efficient. We would highly recommend this cruise. read more
