My first time at Kelly's in over 10 years and the experience was phenomenal. We ordered 5 steak egg and cheese croissants/bagels and they were so good!!! We also picked up a few glazed twist. We ended up waiting for a bit because they were really busy. Everything came out super fresh, delicious and cooked to perfection. They even threw in a few extra donut holes for my nephew because of the wait which they didn't have to do. Thank you Kelly's for such a wonderful experience! I pray they never close. I tried Kelly's a few years ago on a whim. I had their omelette and two donuts with coffee and OJ for later. From that moment on, they have won me over. I tried their burrito a couple of weeks ago and I think I'm still thinking about it. Their food is always cooked timely. It appears they are family with how they interact with each other and the natural dance they do around the counter and the kitchen. It's counter style so you'll quickly see what you want. I cringe when I have to give my locals bad reviews, so.... I won't exactly do that. I will just call this place mediocre. I just was not impressed. Good: It was pretty easy to get in and out of their parking lot, and when I went inside, the place was bright, neat, and very clean. The case was well stocked at 7:30 AM on a Saturday. The rest: got three donuts, a vanilla glazed, which I found just was kind of tasteless, even though it had good texture in the icing and the donut. The second donut was an old-fashioned, which is what I judge all donut shops by, right or wrong. The flavor didn't wow me, and even though it was glazed well and looked good, I felt that the ratio of glaze soaked crispiness to inside tenderness was off, with too little of the inside goodness. It just seemed too thin to me. What I was most excited about, and most disappointed in, was the glazed croissant. I saw it in the case, and my brain went "whoopee!" - it looked fantastic. I got it home and cut it apart and.... found that the inside was not cooked all the way through. When I pulled, the middle part of it stringed almost like melted mozzarella. Great idea, bad execution, I guess. Overall, like I said, I was not impressed, but maybe they were just having a bad day. read more

The owners are so sweet and the doughnuts are solid. I needed to grab a quick sandwich on the go and no one beats the croissanwiches at Kelly's. They have a super convenient drive thru. I also ordered a half dozen donuts to mainly please a 5 year old who specifically requested vanilla sprinkles. To her delight they so sweetly added a bonus sprinkle donut. Really good service. Kelly was nice and funny. The food taste good. The prices are very reasonable. I got the Texas sandwich which comes with two eggs for pizza bacon or sausage. I went to Kelly's donuts and it was pretty good I love the selection of jelly donuts they had apple, blueberry and raspberry jelly donuts. I love jelly donuts! They have quite a few other varieties of donuts to keep it intersting, like strawberry and yiur classics, vanilla and chocolate long johns and glaze donuts. What I like most about Kelly's donuts, the donuts are not super huge to the point where lkke some donut shops, where the donuts start tasting more dough rhan anything. They are not small either, where all you taste is sugar. They are just right moreover, the donuts have a good flavor to them, and if you warm them up slightly, they are some of the best in the area. I've gotten donuts in some places and all you can taste is the sugar or dough no real flavor profile that is enjoyable. Wth Kelly donuts you can taste the sweetness and richness of the sugar, the buttery, savory delicious flavors. I got a dozen of those donuts and itn addition to donuts Kelly also makes breakfast foods like omletts and breakfast sandwiches, croissants and more. I tried out one of their glaze donuts on a sandwich, the bacon egg and cheese and it was pretty good. It is different, sorta reminds me of when I put the hamburger on a donuts are you get that saltiness from the bacon, the creaminess from the cheese and savory succulent flavor from the eggs. The sandwich with the sweetness in there and savoriness is really good. I definitely recommend going by there and getting some of those delicious donuts. If you prefer a more sweeter donut, you may not enjoy this as much, but give it a try. The coffee wasn't too bad, it is not a premium blend, however, it was good. My only gripe is the coffee creamer they had that I could use was a dry creamer and I like the richness of half n half a real dairy creamer. They real flavored creamers, like french vanilla and they likes, but that's not me, I want to taste the coffee. I can say, Kelly's staff was friendly and nice. Parking is in the front, if you want you can sit down inside the restaurant and eat your donuts. It is a small little place inside a little strip mall and it is clean. I enjoyed the vibes and atmosphere, if I lived closer I could see myself going by there every other day or just about every day, for donuts and coffee. read more

Wow, what a hidden breakfast gem so close to my home! My wife and I stopped in after a power outage, no where else was open, and we were more than impressed. Restaurant: Typical small diner look. Just a little flair but nothing fancy at all. Definitely a sweats and tshirt kind of place, which is my favorite. Service: Great. Was served immediately with a smile and my food was delivered to my table. Food: 10/10 so far. Apple fritter and cinnamon twist were so good. I had always been an Old Town fanatic but this place reawakened my lust for good donuts. I also had a sausage burrito which was cheesy and full of flavor. Update to my previous review. The food is still really good, if I'm spending my money customer service should match. That being said they need to hire people that can understand and speak the language of the area they serve. I certainly believe in diversity but it becomes difficult to repeat your order at least 4x only to receive it in no way shape form or fashion that you requested. Not against whose there but the newest person should not be taking orders if their English is not understandable and dialect is very broken. Ugh, love the service especially because it's family owned and they've been owning their game for years. We love to use their little drive through window which always has someone popping their head out without making you guess if someone saw you roll up to the window or not. I always get either a breakfast sandwich or burrito. What's nice is that the food served literally tastes homemade- it's very clearly not mass produced like you get from McDonalds where it leaves you feeling greasy and in regret. It's like your mom or dad surprised you with a warm breakfast in the morning, you can taste the love. Time to update my review for this place! Kelly's is a family owned donut shop located along Lindbergh. You can tell they put their heart and soul into their business and the quality of their product shows this. Not only is this place a wonderful donut shop, they also have omelettes as well as some other breakfast varities. I have had their ham and cheese omelettes a couple of times and they were delicious and filling. Not to mention, cheap! Just what you need to face the day ahead. I have never had their coffee and can't speak to the quality, however, they do offer some. To the donuts! I found this place to be the best place for donuts and I am quite sure my colleagues like them as well. I know one of them does, for sure. He prefers their jelly donuts over anywhere else and I prefer their chocolate cake, no frosting (whenever I used to eat them). Last week, I stopped by to pick up some treats for my colleagues and the place hasn't changed at all! The same regulars were there having their early Saturday breakfast and coffee and the same courteous and wonderful lady is still working the counter while her husband (I presume) was in the kitchen area. This place does have a large selection of freshly-made donuts and as another reviewer had pointed out, their donuts are not overwhelmingly sweet and/or doughy. If I ever eat donuts again, I am going to eat one from here and the chocolate cake, of course!
