Looked this place up on Yelp while I was in Philly for work a couple of weeks ago. The cheesesteak was the draw. It did not disappoint! I also enjoyed the honey hot wings there. They were very good and worth the heartburn lol. This place is close to the airport, so it was also an easy choice. Needless to say, I had my belly full and enjoyed a nice nap on the flight home. Just went here the other day and was shocked at how long the wait for food was. Honestly I wasn't expecting too much from this corner divey kinda bar, but still was surprised after waiting over an hour and a half for our food. We ordered nachos, beyond meat burger, and some clams. The bartender was okay but didn't seem the least bit concerned about our wait for food which was kinda crazy. The nachos came out first after the first hour and had 7-eleven style nacho cheese on them and not much else. The beyond meat was a nice option but still was pretty bad, fries and clams ended up being okay. Would never return to this bar plus it still smells like smoke. Absolute "Home Run" if you are looking for good food, good drinks and super friendly atmosphere from a staff that actually cares about YOU. My wife and I had to stay at a hotel near Phila International Airport for an early flight to Florida for a birthday celebration/Vacation. Stopped in for dinner this evening and was blown away at the assortment of menu choices. This is my first time here but definitely will not be my last. I had the firecracker shrimp, mushroom stuffed with clams casino... And also tried the crabcake sandwich. Obviously there were leftovers... Everything was amazingly delicious. Kelly's Corner, what a hidden gem. Absolutely not what I expected. Menu sounded very good and at least 10 guys having lunch. The cook cared about making a good meal (came out twice to ask people exactly how they wanted their food cooked). The Cheesesteak was a touch small. Nice soft roll that held up nicely. Nice place to grab a quick bite to eat. Definitely a favorite hangout for the locals. One of the best blue collar bars I've ever been too.

A lot of airline crew members come here on their overnights. The blonde lady behind the bar is extremely prejudice and seems a bit racist as we had a gay man, a black woman and a Latin lady with us. Definitely favors white men. She never ever said "you're welcome" to any of us saying "thank you" but her tongue fell out whenever a guy would say something to her. Very poor service from her and we asked for a double a couple of times and she poured literally a half of a single and charged us for a double. We asked her how the wings were and she looked at us and gave us an ignorant annoyed look and said "idk, I don't cook the food" and walked off. She put things that she wanted to watch on the tvs and one party asked her to put one game on one screen and another asked her to put another on another screen and she said "no, I'm not putting two games in my tvs" and proceeded to play two of her shows. With all of this being said and the 3 star review, the food is amazing!!!! Don't order a cocktail from the blond girl though. Lol. read more

Alright, this place has a 4.5 star rating so we figured we'd check it out. One of three things happened here. Either the owner and employees set up 86 shell accounts and rated themselves, this truly is the only game in the immediate area and all the locals that live on the block voted for it, or somehow this place took a massive nosedive between the last rating and when we went. The place was empty save one customer arguing about how much he was billed for five drinks. The glasses were noticeably filthy. The bar was greasy and made me instantly feel like I needed a shower after touching it with my forearm. Oh, and the kitchen was "fryer only", with only fried food menu items available. Jesus. Probably a great place for the locals but for us out of towners looking for a bite to eat prior to the Eagles concert, being out of chop meat for the burgers on a Saturday at around 5PM is not good at all. I was in town for a work event and felt like getting some local food. A quick search pointed me to Kelly's and the reviews were promising so off we went. This joint is tucked in a neighborhood close to the airport and sits catty corner to another pub in a funny, mirror image sort of way. From the outside Kelly's immediately looks very local, not showy or flashy. Stepping up to the door and wandering in you will immediately be noticed by the patrons at the bar - don't try to sneak in because it won't work. We found an open table (there are about 6 near the bar) and the bartender swiftly provided menus- somehow he sensed we we hungry. The guy was friendly and gave confident suggestions- he was thoroughly knowledgeable about the offerings. I had the roast beef sandwich with long hots and provolone- I wanted to see what a "long hot" actually was: they were peppers, maybe jalapeños. The food was served in a plastic basket on paper that didn't stand a chance against the juicy and delicious sandwich! The bartender already knew there would be some sloppiness and had extra napkins on the table before we were served. The sandwich was large and did not skimp on anything - especially flavor. Kelly's besides having great food and awesome service provides beer to go - there is a large cooler filled with a wide varied brews you can grab and purchase at your leisure. They also have an attached space devoted to pool tables for the billiard players in your party; trophies line one wall so Kelly's must be in the competition scene. Visiting Family in Delco. Yesterday we stopped at Kelly's Corner for lunch and glad we did. Bar and a few tables, another room with pool tables. I had the pulled pork on a Kaiser with provolone and long hots. It was the best hot pork sandwich I've ever had. Hubby enjoyed his burger. Both came with home made chips. Golden Tee takes me to the best places. This is a well run local bar. If you are stupid you would call it a dive. The record didn't exactly screech when I walked through the door but one of us wasn't like the others. I got the who the eff is this guy look. Granted I had a collared shirt on and dress pants. I'm sure strange faces in places like this make people think of police or liquor inspectors. So I played a couple rounds of golden tee to get the stink off of me. I broke one of pasta joes records so I kinda feel famous now. There were prolly 8 people in the bar. I chatted up a local fellow. He gave me the area run down. It was reassuring since the Uber driver seemed to think I was going to die if I went in the door. He really asked "do you want me to wait for you". They have a small decent tap selection. There was your BMC (bud,Miller,coors) component to the customers so I wasn't expecting to have 2 pretty competent IPA's. I did in fact get the world famous cheesesteak egg rolls. They were good. I would tell you it's because the fill them with meat. Like full. So when you see the price that's why. It's worth it. Service was great. So the next time your staying near the Philadelphia airport please resist the urge to go to the local Applebee's and be forced ponder the many regretful menu selections (a menu that could have only been conceived by 12 year old obese boy from Ohio). Found this neighborhood bar on Yelp while visiting Philly. Like Matthew P , don't usually do reviews unless very good or very bad ! After reading this review I decided to give it a try. When visiting a new area , I try to find a place local and especially during these tough times to be in business , try to throw some the way of the independent owner. Well , in this case also discovered a great little gem in SE Philly. The place is small but welcoming . Upon entry , everyone knew we weren't a local but didn't treat us any differently. What friendly staff at Kelly's Corner! We stopped in for lunch en route to our airport hotel. I can tell you the pork sandwich was delicious - juicy with the right touch of pepper - this was NOT the typical pulled pork sandwich. My husband had roast beef and liked it. Onion rings were great also! The corner pub made me think of the olden days when these were on every corner. Went here for a late dinner last night while staying at a Philly Airport hotel waiting on a flight this morning. Went here based on really good TA, Yelp, and Google reviews. Glad I did some research. This is an AWESOME South Philly neighborhood bar with really good food. Atmosphere is great - A lot of locals and a very nice bartender and waitress (waitress was possibly the owner?). A really good selection of beer for a neighborhood bar. Started with the Thai Chili Wings which were very good. And both of us had the cheese steaks - Excellent!!! We're native Philadelphians and take our cheesesteaks seriously! Really liked their rolls. Their fries and homemade chips were also very good. This is now our go-to place when staying over night and flying out of the Philly Airport. read more
