Susan is THE BEST! Okay, okay.. I am biased, I didn't work with anyone else but she simply is wonderful. I was able to even work with Kelly herself, and she was so intelligent and sweet. My style is unique and I needed a dress that I could identify with. Susan put me in Claire Pettibone's Queen Anne's Lace and I was done. I didn't know I was done until I went to two other shops and tried on really uncomfortable and quite boring gowns. I apparently had fallen in love and couldn't go back :) Susan and Kelly were very helpful with my small budget. They also gave me a sense of family and community. Kelly's Closet was the best wedding dress shopping experience ever. All of my life (like every little girl) I've dreamt of being a bride. Throughout the whole engagement process, even to finding a venue, etc. I never really felt like a bride even after visiting other bridal salons - the moment I walked into Kelly's Closet they made me feel like the bride that I always saw myself as. I worked with Kelly (yes the owner) and she was so attentive and wanted to get to know me and wanted to give me the wedding dress of my dreams. Booking an appointment was a breeze, walking in they offered me plus the other 6 lovely ladies I was with champagne, they were so nice about the village I brought with me to find my perfect dress and made everyone feel comfortable and at home. Kelly was so sweet, and I felt like when I walked out of there I gained a new best friend. I didn't make a decision the day I tried on my dress because I had another bridal salon appt the same day and knew there was a dress at the other place that I was in love with. I called Kelly the next day to see if I could come in and try one a dress I loved at her salon to compare the two and she was so accommodating, she saw me after the salon was closed NOT to mention it was her son's birthday party the same day. I showed her the two dresses I was between and she was so honest about the two and she didn't try to sway me towards her dress just because it was in her salon. In the end I'm proud to say I am a Closet Bride and went with a BEAUTIFUL dress that I could not be happier with. Kelly has been so great throughout the buying process and even when there were snags in the road with accessories I bought not being in stock she was so great and so honest and helped me throughout the way. I HIGHLY recommend every bride going to Kelly's Closet and having the true bridal experience and yes you're going to be paying a slight premium for her designer dresses but the experiences and the dresses are worth every penny!! read more

If I was a size 2 (wedding dress size 6) and searching for a lace dress this would have been the place for me. Seriously, if you are over a size 10 (street size 6) don't waste your time. They did have some beautiful lace dresses but as stated above they cater to a certain clientele. The person that "helped me" really just stared me down (it seems like she knew that my street size 12 was just too too big). I felt very uncomfortable the whole time and ended up not trying on any dresses and just leaving. After receiving top-notch service at Demetrios I won't tolerate any less than that if I am spending all this money. read more

They are a beautiful boutique style shop with gorgeous and unique gowns I didn't find anywhere else in Atlanta. Gina, my consultant, provided me a wonderfully personal experience with all of my follow up appointments and fittings. My alterations were also done at Kelly's by Angela. Everyone at Kelly's closet was amazing. I came in from Nashville for a trunk show and while I didn't much care for that designer after all, the consultant helped my try on at least 12 other dresses. Kelly's closet is wonderful. Kelly helped me around the store and made the process of dress searching non-stressful. She has a passion for her business and never pushes you into buying anything. I didn't end up buying a dress. It's definitely better for brides looking for a boho look/ garden wedding/ vintage look. (There are not as many options for a ballroom wedding) but still beautiful dresses in every price range! She even writes you a handwritten thank you card and sends it in the mail! I had a wonderful experience at this shop. The vibe is really nice: sunny, airy, pretty. The selection of gowns was quite varied, and so beautiful. Natalie was my sales associate and she was fantastic. There was no pressure at all, and I never felt rushed (as I have in some other bridal shops). She was just really helpful and by the end it felt like she was an additional friend in the gown shopping process. I was the girl who went EVERYWHERE in the Atlanta area searching for dresses. Literally EVERYWHERE. I certainly saw very many pretty gowns, but nothing had the unique, once-in-a-lifetime vibe that I so desired. What a perfect hidden gem in the adorable Candler Park neighborhood!! From the second I arrived, I felt like a welcome friend in their beautiful boutique. All of the girls there are wonderful-I felt like they really took the time to find out what made me tick to help me find perfect dresses. Oh, THE DRESSES! Whether you want traditional (without the "cookie-cutter" overdone feel), or very unique-they have it all, in a beautifully displayed, well-organized store. I was encouraged to take my time to browse, to touch, to look, and of course, to try on. Never did I feel pressured or rushed. All of the workers truly seem to love what they do. The selection of designers they carry is VERY special-they actually have exclusive rights in the state of GA to the designer I fell in love with (Modern Trousseau). I was in the market for a unique, yet still traditional, modern-meets-vintage style. They had TONS of dresses that fit this description. I am proud to say I found my gown at Kelly's Closet!! Kelly's Closet seems like a bohemian shop, but they really have high-end designer gowns. They have a few gowns in other price ranges as well. This is a great place to find a "different" dress. Kelly's Closet saved my ass. I got married in July, and 3 weeks before the wedding, I had a dress that I absolutely hated. I chose frugality when buying the first dress from a source I won't name here, sure that my sensible ways would keep me from freaking out about how terrible a dress it actually was. I was wrong. I ran into Kelly's Closet on that fateful day that I finally freaked out, and I was helped and waited on without an appointment. Everyone was so helpful and very understanding, and I found a dress at their sample sale that was perfect. They even did a lovely job of altering the dress to fit, all in the 3 weeks before my wedding. Amazing service, excellent selection of gowns. If you're looking for cheap, this is not the place. If you're looking for unique, high class gowns, they have an excellent selection, especially given their smaller size. Their staff is amazing, Susan was great to work with. They are not pushy at all and respect price points. Best of all, they really seem to specialize in wedding dresses for adults, especially adults who aren't trying to be princesses on their wedding day. Many dresses give the red carpet look instead of the princess look. Great deals on their sample dresses! Since they are smaller, they are much, much more accommodating of your tastes. read more

I had a wonderful experience at Kelly's Closet. I went in on the DAY OF my friends wedding to buy an emergency birdcage veil and they were WONDERFUL. The customer service was impeccable and they were eager to help me even though I was purchasing the veil at the very last minute. I had an unbelievably perfect and totally unexpected experience at Kelly's Closet on Oct. 2, 2016. My mother and grandmother came into town to celebrate my recent engagement and to go to two bridal salons so I could try on different types of dresses - not find THE dress since my wedding is in Oct. 2018. Our experiences at the other two shops were okay/mediocre, and we were all left feeling not-that-excited about dress shopping. When my grandma turned to me the next day and said that she wanted to see more dresses, I was really concerned about getting a same-day appointment ANYWHERE in Atlanta. I called Kelly's Closet and spoke to Kelly herself - she was so kind and accommodating and was able fit us in 45 minutes later. The Closet is lovely and cozy, with gowns lining the walls. You can browse and pick dresses that you would like to try on, as well as rely on staff to choose some for you. Each dress also has a price tag attached, so you know the cost before you try (and potentially fall in love with a dress). My ideal budget was under $2000, and Kelly carries at least a couple of designers whose dresses sell for less than $2000. I got to work with Madison, who made my day so special. Madison gave me and my family her full attention and took time to really get to know us. She was encouraging and thoughtful, and probably equally surprised when all of us started to cry when I tried on the dress I ended up purchasing. Not only was that dress exactly what I had envisioned wearing on my wedding day, but the experience at Kelly's Closet made the entire decision so easy. I never felt pressured to buy anything, but I always felt supported. I also never felt sticker shock since Madison and I only chose dresses to try that I could afford to buy. And to top it all off, they offered champagne to celebrate. I can't wait to go back to pick up my dress and to work with Kelly's Closet on the final alterations. This was an amazing experience--even though the dress I fell in love with was twice my price range! I am a lesbian bride, and I'm extremely sensitive to wedding industry people treating me with disdain, outright homophobia or poorly-hidden surprise. I have no tolerance for any of that, and if I'm going to spend money on my lesbian wedding, it will be with lesbian-friendly businesses! Anyway, rant over. The point being that April at Kelly's Closet was incredibly warm, genuine, helpful and amazing. She didn't miss a beat, and treated my mom and me with respect, humor and excitement. Instead of going uncomfortably silent, unlike other places, she asked me questions about my fiancee and the wedding, and by the end of the appointment, we hugged and she said she was honored to be a part of our shopping day. The gowns are GORGEOUS and the prices are HIGH. But after visiting other places, I can see the vast difference in quality and I understand the price difference. Both consultants were helpful and relaxed, and best of all, they understood we weren't going to be making a decision right away. This place is so darling. I didn't actually buy my wedding dress here. I bought my wedding dress at a thrift store and came here to get fun accessories to go with it. I was worried that they would snob my $60 wedding dress but they didn't. My consultant ooh'ed and ahh'ed over my dress and was so helpful finding me the right accessories. She was so sweet and really into finding the perfect pieces. Don't go to a stiff wedding dress store or a super-commercial place like David's Bridal. Absolutely the BEST bridal selection I've come across in the 3 months i've been hunting for a gown. Prior to Kelly's Closet, I had visited 5 other bridal store's in Atlanta. What set this store apart was the unique styles that they offer. If you are tired of going through a million versions of the same dress, ie. sweetheart ballgowns, this is definitely a store to visit. Looks range from traditional to boho-chic to retro-glam; a lot of accessory choices that can add to the originality of a bridal look. Also, as a sidenote: the feel of the casual clothes sold at this store are very Zooey Deschanel-esque. It's true what they say about finding the right dress-you just know. I had that moment at Kelly's Closet. However, the right dress was not the ideal price for my budget. The selections I fell in love with were $4,500 to $5,900. Currently, still mulling over whether to purchase my dream dress. The assistant was so great, she makes me want to finalize a bridal dress purchase at Kelly's Closet just so i could support this great local business. read more

I went to several shops - big and small - during my search and, by far, Kelly's Closet had the most gorgeous and unique dresses of the bunch. I was on a pretty tight budget and - while many of the dresses were out of my price range - the girls there helped me find a nice assortment of possibilities. It wasn't even my personal experience but compared to other salons, Kelly's Closet had the most professionalism and true talent. We had Hannah and she is the epitome of what bridal consultants should be. My sis wound up finding a dress more in her price range at a different salon (where the consultants were nowhere near as amazing), but our entire party wished we could have bought something from Kelly's simply because Hannah was so nice, encouraging, helpful, and professional. read more

I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Kelly's. It was so great that I actually got a Yelp account -- something I never thought I'd do -- to write about it! I had been to 4 other bridal shops when I found Kelly's online, visited her website and, upon the homepage loading, I instantly loved the store and almost knew I'd find my dress there. The shop itself is gorgeously decorated with touches that are feminine and classic yet rustic and quaint. The staff is BEYOND helpful -- not only do they make genuine eye contact with you and smile (whether they're working with you or not), they actually care about your vision. I worked with Maddie and from the get-go she totally understood my thinking and threw herself into making my ideal dress a reality. As we whittled the dresses down to what became the obvious winner, Maddie demonstrated her extreme know-how, flexibility, and resourcefulness by having me try different accessories and undergarments in the store to achieve the complete look I wanted. Kelly herself -- the goddess of all bridal shops -- was there, ensuring that the store functioned effectively, efficiently, and kept it running with the perfect balance of fun, professionalism, and deep care. She has a kind soul, was very understanding and generous to us, and is the perfect person to own a bridal shop. I was so let down by this place. I walked in for my appointment and no one greeted me for several minutes. When someone did come up to me, another client interrupted to complain about how long she had been waiting - not a good sign and I immediately wanted to bail. The stylist for my appointment was with another bride for 20 minutes past my appointment time, which was super annoying since I was on time and on a fairly tight schedule. While I waited they told me to pick out dresses I liked. Since I knew by the time I started I wouldn't have much time, I only grabbed 4. It was very impersonal once I started trying them on. The stylist didn't have a ton of feedback and once I finished trying them on she was just like "okay, you're done". It was super weird. The dresses were unique and vintage, but expensive. Between the poor service and general crowdedness and chaos of the store, I wouldn't not recommend this place. read more

I love Kelly's Closet! After standing, and staring at her windows I finally had reason to enter. I got engaged. I went there the next day and started trying dresses on. I didn't even go to another store. I had several people help me on different occasions but Kelly was always around. I got to try everything on that I wanted to and had a girl to help me get into to my gowns. I liked that because It's kind of hard otherwise. I couldn't really afford a lot of the dresses in there but Kelly came through, just in time. Sample sale! She sells the samples (certain times of year) for a reasonable if not insanely reasonable cost and really makes sure that you have THEE dress that you want. I am so excited and tell everyone I know to go to Kelly's even if you don't think it's in your price range. She is magical! Not only that but she has the most beautiful and unique gowns out there.I ended up buying three dresses from here, one for party's, one for reception and the wedding dress! read more

I went to Kelly's Closet because as soon as I got engaged, friends told me it is the best place to shop. It turned out not to be the place for me. While I like some funkier clothes, it turns out when it comes to bridal gowns, I like a very traditional look. And if their gowns had suited my taste, they were a bit above my budget. I wanted to stay under $1,500. Having said that I would still totally recommend anyone who doesn't want the typical bridal gown to go to Kelly's Closet. She has some unusual and lovely gowns. Two other brides were trying on dresses when I was there and they looked absolutely fabulous in what they had on. Kelly's might also be a good shop for anyone who is getting married a second time and who still wants a beautiful dress but not a pouffy white thing. Worth checking out even if you are going for a traditional bridal look...just in case something a little more eclectic turns out to be your thing. The service was great, too. After I got engaged I was very intimidated by bridal stores. My worst nightmare was that the sales lady was going to show me a gown that stood up by itself, so I kept putting it off. I came across Kelly's Closet online & was intrigued. After someone recommended it became the first store I went to, but when I arrived I remembered I hadn't made an appointment. Kelly, the owner, greeted me and told me not to worry. She found out they did have a slot for me, and she personally took care of me. She talked to me like a friend & we picked a few hand-made gowns that were just beautiful. I loved her selections & had so much fun there. She is so sweet & helpful! I did end up finding my dress at a different store, but I would recommend this store to any bride who is looking for a unique delicate gown.
