I went back to try on the dress we had seen. Vickie pulled that dress and 2 others which were not my taste at all. I started to walk around to see if there was anything I liked. I felt uncomfortable because it felt like I wasn't allowed to do that. Completely different experience than with my daughter. I tried 2 more dresses that I had picked and stuck with the first one. After I put my clothes back on - Vickie measures me over my clothes (summer cotton eyelet dress with a full skirt.). I was like ??? I felt rushed and like she couldn't be bothered. I was there maybe 45 minutes and it was a stressful appointment. She then goes to order my dress and there's an online/web fee plus a rush shipping fee. I said I don't need a rush, we are 5 months out and what's this web fee? I was told it was charged by the designer. She proceeded to tell me that they didn't stock my size, they only stocks to a 14 (my normal size) so it was a custom order (size 16). So I came home and thought about it and placed the order the next day. She came back and said oh delivery date just got pushed out 2 more days, you need to hurry and pay the rush fee. I ordered it and said I don't want rush shipping. Delivery date was almost a full 30 days before the wedding. Well the dress came in 3 days ahead of time - yay. I went and tried it on, it was huge. I was so upset as this was a $650 dress. I knew when I had left my appointment that I didn't feel right. I tried it on and Vickie proceeds to say - oh a smaller size wouldn't have fit you. I went to my alterations lady that I've used for 12 years. She said - you're swimming in this, are you sure they ordered the right size? You needed a size smaller (and no, I have not lost any weight) and I will take it in down to the waist in the bodice, further than that, I really can't because of the zipper. I was so upset and disheartened, she had to basically redo the entire bodice of the dress, re-bead the leaves because she had to take it all in in the front and back and the dress has boning, so it was quite the alteration. I knew it would be too long and that was fine. So on top of $650 plus tax and junk fees, alterations have run me $350 on top of the cost of the dress and this is my person. I had gone to another alterations place they had recommended who said off the cuff it would be over $400 If you go there - make sure you're properly measured!

She also didn't take any measurements except my ribcage. So when the dress finally showed up on May 25th, it was way too big. When a representative from the manufacturer tells you to ask for your money back because you were sized wrong, you know there is a big problem. Bonnie gave me a list of seamstresses they recommend. I took the dress to one of them, and she was shocked that no measurements - bust, waist, hips - had been taken and that the dress was so big on me. I took the dress back to Treasures and Vickie and Bonnie immediately got defensive and blamed the seamstress and called her a liar and greedy. Instead of admitting they made a mistake and trying to rectify it, they made a bad situation worse. They lie and stonewall. They will not listen to the customer. They cut you off instead of hearing you out. Now, after planning way ahead, I'm now starting a new search for a dress with only 7 weeks until my daughter's wedding. Save yourself the frustration and heartache and go somewhere other than Treasures. Vickie spends a lot of time talking about people not being nice, but she and her daughters are the ones who are not nice. They are defensive and rude. They are terrible people. Vickie admitted she was stressed out by the house she is building, but she wouldn't admit her mistakes at her own business. When they threaten to "call the authorities" on a customer who has paid them over $1200 and has been more than patient waiting over three months for a dress, you know they regularly have problems with people. Not because of the people, but because of them. Because of how they react and how they treat people. They need to look at the common denominator. Who is the problem? They are. Instead of listening to the customer and trying to make it right, they threaten. So pathetic. They are in a business that deals with a major event in a person's life. But they are terrible at it. It's very sad and so disappointing that I trusted them. Please don't make the same mistake I did. I trusted them and I regret it.

She sat down with my group, got to know me, asked about my fiancé, our wedding, and what I was looking for in a dress. It truly felt like she cared about finding the perfect dress for me. From there, she started pulling dresses for me to try on, and she absolutely nailed every single one. She listened so well and somehow understood exactly what I wanted. I ended up finding the most PERFECT dress. Jordan went above and beyond to make dress shopping such a fun, meaningful, and memorable experience. Her and the staff made sure we had champagne, popped the bottle when I said yes, and even let me keep the cork as a sweet keepsake. I was already a huge fan of Wedding Angels after coming here before as a guest for another bride, so I can confidently say they are consistently the BEST. I couldn't recommend them more!

Two days later i went to have my tires changed and the front people were dressed in black pants and a black shirt. What's wrong with this? i was so glad we did not buy from Affordable Bridal as i did not want to purchase from someone who does not have the respect to get up in the morning and dress appropriately in respect to the future bride for what should be a beautiful event in the wedding process. They also had two children that were jumping up and down and running around and making noises! This created a terrible memory.

I had the most amazing experience at Magnolia Laine this week! This was the first bridal shop I had…read morebeen to so I was a little nervous of what to expect, etc. First the ambiance is incredible! It has the prettiest lighting from all of the windows and the overall environment is just peaceful and pretty - also smells like volcano from the candles burning, lovely! Each bride has a private suite area (super spacious, trying to include pics that show size) that is just for you and your party which makes it so comfortable and more fun! Each person we encountered was sweet, happy and helpful! I could already tell my appointment was going to be awesome from the way I noticed other interactions going. The selection is very broad but they have a lot of options for each style/fit of dress and it is organized beautifully so you are able to really feel like you could look at everything without being overwhelmed! Also the quality of the dresses seems amazing! The dress I chose had all of the qualities I wanted and even had a detail I did not expect! The pricing is very transparent and your consultant will confirm with you your range before you begin pulling dresses. All dresses have the tag on them so there is truly no guessing! Last but definitely not least, Katie! Katie was my consultant when I was there and she definitely made my experience! We instantly clicked and I felt like I was with a friend :) she listened to me and what I wanted but offered the best advice and guidance through the styles and ultimately helped me feel at peace with my decision! She was so great at probing me with questions that helped me understand what it was that I actually liked about each dress. I thought I had found the one but I had another appointment later in the day. As it came time for me to shop for my own dress, Kelly's was at the top of my list.  I ended up working directly with Kelly after my originally assigned stylist was unable to make it in due to surprise snowy weather. Kelly is amazing - she asked questions to get a sense of what styles I liked, how I wanted to feel in my dress, and overall vision for my whole day. She pulled me some beautiful options I would have never chosen for myself, and gave me such individualized care and attention through 9 dresses. She also talked me through alteration possibilities for each of the dresses, and answered any questions me, my sister, mom, and mother-in-law had.  Kelly's is a must - knowledgeable and kind staff, wide range of dress styles and price points, boutique experience, incredible in-house alterations, and a variety of accessories. It could not have been a more positive appointment and environment, with Kelly herself regularly checking in on me and my party to make sure things were going smoothly. Our stylist was lovely and so helpful with changing in and out of the dresses (which I later learned is not the standard at all shops), picking out dresses for me to try, helping accessorize the dresses, etc. My best friend and sister had both previously gone dress shopping in ATL, and when we left they both commented about how they'd wish they'd come here as well. All of the dresses here seemed to be very affordable (I tried on lots of dresses, all under $1500) and I was able to find one on sale for an amazing price. They looked just as nice as dresses that were going for $2K+ at other stores! McCall was super helpful in assisting with getting the dresses on and off as well - I went solo shopping so it was nice to have her in my corner. I really appreciate Carrie's for delivering quality service without breaking the bank. Some other bridal shops wanted to charge an appointment fee just to come and try on dresses. I highly recommend coming to Carrie's!
