I have been going to this beauty supply store for over five years. Today, I went into the store to purchase some items, one of which was gel remover for my nails. I did not have on my glasses, so I asked for assistance. I still didn't see where she was pointing to, and asked her for assistance again. She came from the counter and asked me can I read? What an offensive thing to say to a loyal customer?!! I wonder why she asked me can I read? I proceeded to tell her I have a Masters degree and I didn't appreciate her comment, and she needs to apologize to me. She refused! So this is what this place thinks of some of us, I guess! I've been going to So Good for almost a decade-- I bought my high school prom dress from there! Today was my last day ever stepping foot in that hellhole. Pouring down rain, been stuck in traffic on 85 for 25 minutes longer than expected, and have to use the bathroom...BADLY. I was expecting no problem because I've used the restroom there before without an issue. Apparently there is no restroom available, even for customers who drove way out of their way to spend at least $200 with them, like me. They refused to even direct me to where the nearest restroom was! PetsMart? Sam's Club? That's bullshit. Went to Gwinnett Place Mall to Beauty Master to spend my $200. This place has poor business sense. I have purchased Egyptian wave hair for two years. Price 119.00 and 2nd pack half price. TWO years I replace my hair every two months. I love fresh hair. ;) I go in yesterday and a Asian lady with a bomb cut Tells me the hair is 169.00.... WHAT!!!!! I expressed to her how could the price go up 40%. These were the rudest employees !! I asked for help because I was drowning in dresses, hence the fact it was so unorganized and i was told to 'just look'. That is such an unacceptable response especially if you are in a dress department and you know there is simply no way to find a dress in your store. They were very dismissive and were no help at all. I was just browsing on my visit but was impressed by the huge selection of options in seemingly every category - bridal, bridesmaid, flower girl (what we were shopping for) and general formal wear. I did not need help from anyone who worked there, so can't comment on the customer service - but did like that I could browse (at least in the dress section) without someone following me around. I have been to this place, plenty of times but the last time I went I was shocked by the behavior of the employee in the jewelry section. She rudely told me that I could not take the jewelry that I was about to purchase to the next section of the store. She told me that I had to pay for the jewelry if I wanted to move to the make-up section of the store. Without a problem, I kindly gave her the jewelry while I shopped throughout the store. I have been there before and had shopped with multiple things in my cart, but unfortunately, I didn't look trustworthy enough to shop with the jewelry in my cart while looking elsewhere in the store. I've been coming to So Good for the past seven years. Over that time it has changed A LOT! When they first opened everything was so affordable, especially the dresses. I have bought about 15+ pageant, evening, and cocktail dresses here. Some are made pretty cheap however the prices do not reflect the quality. I have noticed in the last two years that they have begun to carry some bigger names, Tony Bowls, Jovani, etc. Those gown are priced reasonably. The COLORS dresses, the ones I usually buy have almost doubled in price. What is nice about this place is that I can buy jewerly to match the garments I buy and they allow me to go with the dress on to the jewelry department and pick some out. They also let my buy everything at one register (they didn't before). They carry NYX cosmetics, thank you Jesus! They also have a huge variety of lashes and other brands of cosmetics. Most of it is stage make up. They have sunglasses, hats, and a huge portion of the store is dedicated to extensions and wigs. All in all it is my one stop shop for my pageant prep. One of my suggestions for this place would be to have a nice rewards/loyalty program. Every 6 months several of my friends and I will spend at least $500. So Good is one of those store you would appreciate because it has everything you could possibly need for your prom, wedding, birthday party, in one little building- when it comes to looking good of course. So I'm thinking its more here because they have specific lines of Ardell Eyelashes other stores won't have. Of course I wanted to try them so I brought them! I mean, you get what you pay for! Walking into Jewelry So Good is like walking into a drag queen's closet. And I mean that in a good way. There are all sorts of bright colors, sparkly things, and some of the tackiest dresses and jewelry I have seen. I like to shop here for the costume jewelry, since it's rather inexpensive and you can find some gorgeous pieces. There's also a hair section, where you can find all sorts of hair care supplies, plus and abundance of wigs and weaves. Since I'm not too much into the hair thing, I don't linger in this section too much. But the dress section is definitely worth a gander. There is a wide variety of prom, bridal/bridesmaid, and quinceañera dress. In my opinion, most of these dresses are a bit on the fugly side. I had shopped at their location in Savannah before it was closed and I also shopped on their website. I didn't know this store existed or even if they are the same people that ran the other location and website. I found out about this location online and I had it on my places to go for a very long time. Fast forward to present day, I was in this area actually looking for another business. I was in the area for about 20 minutes looking for the other business with no luck. As I'm driving along, I see this huge business off in the distance. I had to double take because I was making sure I wasn't seeing things!!! I forgot about looking for the other business and made a beeline to this one through heavy traffic and all!!! I'm still shocked that I was about to check this place out, because I had absolutely forgot I wanted to see what they had to offer in person. God was definitely directing me to this store. This store is massive and offers almost anything you are looking for hair, jewelry, makeup, formal wear, formal dresses, and accessories. I couldn't make up my mind on what merchandise I wanted to buy, so I bought quite a few items to appease me until the next time I get to shop here. The owners/employees were very friendly and helpful. Personally showing me different inventory and giving me the backstory on some of the items. I have never been treated so rude in a store in my life. There is an Asian woman who covers the wig department that has no customer service ability. I wanted to try on some wigs. She mentioned I needed a wig cap of which I understood. She said the cap cost $1 or it would be free if I purchased a wig. I agreed to purchase the cap. This lady did not offer to help get wigs down from high shelves. I managed to retrieve 3 and set them in a vanity area to try on. I asked for the wig cap which she gave to me. Mind you this shop has hundreds of wigs on manican heads. I tried on 2 and placed them carefully back on the display heads. As I'm placing the second wig back on the display piece this woman yells at me and says, " Next wig is number 3 and your last one to try on ". I ask her what she just said because I didn't believe it. She repeats I'm not allowed to try on any more wigs. She said after 3 wigs I must buy one or leave. I told her I was there to spend money on a wig but was seeing with the previous 2 the style was not not working for me. She stood firmly and restated I would be allowed to try one more. I told her I wouldn't try on the 3rd one and would not be spending money at this moment or the future. I did need to pay for the $1 wig cap as I agreed to earlier. I went to the front of the store to the check out area and stood in a slow moving line behind 2 other customers to pay. After 3 or 4 minutes she approached me in the check out area and asked why I was still there. I reminded her I needed to pay $1 for the wig cap. She yelled at me to take the wig cap for free and leave. I was probably in the store a total of 15 minutes. I do not recommend supporting this business. I can not give them even a partial star (but Yelp requires at least one to post this review). They are extremely rude and do not understand how to run a business and treat customers. read more

Now, I understand the need to protect ones business against theft, but to follow me to the sensors to make sure 1) I made it through them and 2) that if they went off, you could grab me? See, they have signs posted stating that should you refuse search, they have the right to call the police; so I'm assuming the man following me felt he would've been justified in touching me, had the alarm gone off. I'd found a few things I liked but I left with the bonnet only (and only that because I needed one large enough for my locs) because I'll be damned if I spend a cent more than I have to in an establishment that seems to have forgotten who its clientele is. If I could have given it no stars, I would have: I've shopped there before and the variety and selection don't make up for the consistently disrespectful behavior of its proprietors, so yesterday will be the last time I patronize this beauty supply store. read more

I have been coming to the Sam's Club next door for years but never ventured into this store. Yesterday, my daughter and I decided that we would go in and look around. This store is so much larger than I imagined! If you are a bride or just someone needing a dress for a special occasion, this store has beautiful garments that were reasonably priced. I can't really speak to the quality because I did not closely examine the fabrics or workmanship. But they were stunning! They also carry shoes, hair accessories, wigs, hair supplies, jewelry, and even casual clothing. The jewelry is over the top costume jewelry for those who like the bling, bling! It was more of the costume/pageant variety. So if you are looking for something simple and tasteful, you will need to check other options. I would give this place 0 zero stars if I could. I came into the beauty supply store today looking for some hair products and makeup. As I was walking around with my daughter I felt as though several of the people that work there were just watching me, they were slowly walking behind and around me. I do not appreciate that. I'm not sure if it's because I'm African-American, or if they just felt suspicious of me. I did not have a big purse or a bag, I was clean when I walked in and I had my daughter with me. This store has a lot of nice merchandise however, I will no longer shop here because when I shop somewhere I want to feel comfortable and welcomed. I've been a retail manager in the past and understand that sometimes you watch people for suspicious things however I did not give off that vibe.
