Very cute shop in the downtown Duluth area! I was drawn in as they had many colorful items you could see from outside the shop with great lighting as well! I had an event in the area so I went inside to see what goodies they had! I was greeted by an employee and she was very kind to have conversation and just seem genuinely content with our presence! This shop has many wonderful items ! Lots of cute jewelry, quirky gifts and gorgeous clothing! It can be a bit pricey but overall the quality makes up for price! I didn't end up buying anything this visit but I will definitely be back again to get myself something nice and perhaps some gifts! read more

This shop is the cutest! My friend and I stumbled upon it this past weekend and I'm pretty sure we spent a good hour in there. There are tons of great gift options and some really unique clothing items. Whoever was working was also an absolute joy. She chatted with us, got boxes from the back, and even noticed a small imperfection on a handmade item and swapped it out for me. She made the whole experience more fun and seamless. read more

We came here to kill some time while in Downtown Duluth waiting for the brewery across from Personify Shop to open. We were greeted by a friendly face as soon as we walked in. This little shop is filled with so many adorable items! They had a lot of bags, backpacks, and keychains with fun designs when we stopped in, as well as a decent selection of nice smelling candles, soaps, perfumes, and lotions. There's one section of a wall filled with cute greeting cards. They also have clothing items and some cool stuff for kids, too. All time favorite place. If you're ever feeling down in the dumps this is the place to be. It is light and airy, filled with happiness..beautiful clothing, children's books, home decor, prints, mugs, soap, etc! My favorite part is that you can walk in everyday and there is something new out. It's even more comforting knowing that an incredible mother/ daughter duo run this store. Not a manly shop by any means, but that doesn't stop me from buying manly things! If any of you heathens know me in the real lifes (sic), you'll know that I am a few ticks off from what is considered "normal" these days. With that in mind, you'll realize that I don't outwardly try to project my manliness because I've learned over the years that once you are comfortable being weird, that nothing else really matters. Besides, who sets those societal norms anyway? Social media? AHAHAHAHHHAhahahahAHAHHA After eating at the delectable biscuit establishment next door, the ladyfriend and I decided to stop into Personify and doing the usual manly-type thing, I proceeded to act like her bodyguard heading into some posh night club, to punch the paparazzi out when they got too close to her. Well, I'd do that in real life, but it wasn't night, and this isn't a club. It's a cool little shop with an eclectic mix of lady's garments, jewelry, books, toys, and wait for it... wait for it... MEN'S SOAPS! When the first-world decided to run me over with it's entitlement, it left me with the feeling that I needed to be cleaner, and smell better. Much like when you eat onions, and someone hands you a piece of gum. It's just the right thing to do. Third-world countries have their ways, and Duluth, Georgia has it this way. Personify had more choices than I wanted to decide from, so I bought all of them. Yes my friends, I bought all the manly-fragranced soaps, and am currently testing them all to see which order they'll get used. Since I travel a lot, they'll be whisked off to such exotic places like... Milwaukee! and then maybe... Torrance, California! Yes folks, Personify has a little something for everyone, and this is boutique-type stuff. If you want Wal-Mart or Amazon, then just add a DOT COM to their names and order it up. Support local. I've visited this cute shop several times. The best words to describe the Mom and daughter boutique are unique and timeless. If you're familiar with Zara or TopShop pricing there's is pretty similar, however, each piece is very different unlike the more "trendy" shops. Their wear is perfect for anyone that is looking for bohemian style or one who's looking for timeless vacation pieces. I'M CONFUSED! This is one of the new shops now located in downtown Duluth. It was a bit confused by this shop because it really didn't have a clear direction. It was just a hodge podge of things such as candles, clothing and home decor. I just felt like it needed more direction and a specific niche. When I consider the other clothing, decor and gift shops in downtown Duluth, this one makes me nervous. They really need to reconsider their inventory and the flow of their store, otherwise, they could have difficulty establishing a loyal customer base. read more

Just moved to GA in the last month from NJ and missing the small local boutiques in my area. So I was so excited to pass by Personify with my husband one night while exploring. It was closed when we first discovered it but I made a trip back yesterday and I'm so glad I did! The assortment of product is so carefully curated and eclectic, the aesthetic is laid back and "cool girl" and the whole space is my aspirational dream home! I only really stopped in to look and wound up with a full fitting room to try on and a wish list a mile long for the next time I visit! Definitely worth a stop in- it is going to become, I'm sure, my go-to for special pieces and adorable additions to my closet. Two days ago was my third time shopping at Personify in Chamblee. I'll start by saying that their merchandise is wonderful, the shop is full of character, and the salesperson who helped me was very attentive. My most recent purchase was for some items I needed for a wedding weekend. I wasn't crazy about anything I bought, but I went ahead and purchased them just in case, thinking I could return any unused, unworn items. Luckily I found some items elsewhere that were a better fit. When I went to make a return today (two days later), I learned that they only offer store credit. I made my "return" and left because I didn't want to argue with the salesperson in front of my two small children. Later, after calling for more clarification, I found that they do offer refunds but only for online orders and that anyone who chooses to shop in their store is only eligible to receive store credit (unless they're a very frequent customer, which I don't qualify as because I've only gone out of my way to shop here three times). I understand the need to protect themselves as a small business, but customers should be made aware of such an extreme return policy PRIOR to making a purchase. If I had been aware of this policy there is no way I would have made this purchase in the first place. I am very disappointed by the lack of transparency and feel cheated out of $400. read more

This place is a gem of a spot out here in the OTP area, and SO happy it's just a short drive to get there for us! Maddie, her mom, Brooke, and Abby who used to work there are all such great people to chat with and I love seeing all of their smiling faces every visit! The store feels so homey, and it's the perfect place to find a unique and thoughtful gift for anyone in your life. I just spent an hour there last night with last minute Christmas shopping, and found something for 20+ people ranging from co-workers, to good friends, to family members and babies, too! My daughter and I were accused of shoplifting here this morning. We were the only ones in the store and both employees kept a close eye on us the entire time we were there- and still they thought we had somehow stolen a stuffed white bunny (that my daughter moved from one shelf to another because there was another white bunny on the shelf so she thought she was helping AND the bunnies were all over the store so I told her it was probably ok). We were super respectful and I made sure to keep my three year old close enough to me that she wouldn't unnecessarily touch anything....but they had us pegged from the moment we walked in the door. Really is a perfectly curated store! I've found so many great gifts, like a Pendleton blanket my sister LOVED and Capri Blue candles for friends, and unique cards for special occasions. But every time I go in the store something catches my eye that I have to buy for myself-- like amazing smelling bath bombs and Baggu zipper pouches that have become my go-to travel toiletry bags. Last time I was in, I wasn't even shopping for clothing, but Maddie and her mom picked out the most adorable jumpsuit for me to try on. I bought it and wore it on my Hawaiian vacation this week and got so many compliments! Wish the the Atlanta area had more independent boutiques with great service like this one! read more

I really wanted to like this shop because they do have some very cute and unique items and a nice staff, but I had a very disappointing experience after I purchased a shirt from Personify. I wore it for the first time a couple of weeks after purchasing it and someone pointed out a hole in the back of the shirt (see pictures). I live 35 miles from the store so I only stop in every once in a while, but I made the trip today to exchange the shirt. I stopped in and asked if I could exchange the shirt for one without a hole or get store credit, but I was told that the return policy is within 7 days. Since I didn't wear the shirt until two weeks after I got it this obviously wasn't possible. I was also not made aware of the return policy when I made the initial purchase. I understand that return policies are in place for a reason, but this hole was clearly there when I purchased it. Disappointing :/ read more

This is the cutest shop!! My friend and I stopped in after eating next door. The store/clothes had an Anthropologie type feel, except for the price tag. Lots of cute clothes... even some brands like Lush that you see at Nordstrom. If you need a unique gift (especially baby gift) this is the place. If you're an Anthropologie fan, you will love this specialty boutique! It has a similar vibe and ambiance to Anthro, but remains completely unique in the design of the store, as well as the items that are offered. I love that you can both shop for clothing for yourself and score a super adorable find for your home at the same time...without having to drive into the city for a similar experience. This is an enjoyable atmosphere to shop in that more specialty stores should attempt to replicate. Not only is this a great place to find stuff for yourself, but it's also the perfect store to find a gift for that hard-to-buy for person, because they literally have unique items that anyone of any age would appreciate. And finally, the store owner is incredibly sweet and has an amazing memory...I came in to look for a candle that I had my eye on two weeks prior, and she remembered the exact candle that I had been looking at! That is truly amazing customer service! If you are in the downtown Duluth area, you need to make it a priority to stop here - you will have a really hard time leaving without finding something good for yourself or someone else :) read more
