I found my perfect wedding dress at Cinderella's and it was a wonderful experience. The assistant who helped us was very welcoming and knowledgeable. My sister even traveled from out of town to be there with me, so I was thrilled that we found the dress we were looking for. Although it was expensive, the dress was beautiful and definitely worth it. I had bought the dress, but unfortunately, it was too small. So, I decided to buy it and get it altered by a seamstress. The seamstress did a great job with the alterations, and she hand-made my veils, too. However, the issue arose when my dress was ready and I left it at the store to be steamed and delivered on my wedding day. This was a perk that was explained to my mother, my sister, and me when I initially tried the dress on. But, to my surprise, I received a call a few days before my wedding day, and they informed me that the store doesn't offer professional steaming or delivery. I was shocked, frustrated, and disappointed that we had been lied to in such a distasteful fashion. With only a few days left before my wedding, I didn't have the mental or emotional energy to deal with this let-down. My sister and mother were also upset at having been put in such a tight situation with only hours before the wedding day. We had expected what we were told: that the store would steam my dress and even deliver it on my wedding day so that it would be one less thing for us to worry about. I believe in good business, especially when thousands of dollars are being spent. I will not be making any further purchases from this store. While the dresses are beautiful, I cannot tolerate dishonest sales practices and unfulfilled promises. read more

I forget the name of the lady who helped me pick out my dress but she recommended a dress that she also wore to a wedding (her customer service was exceptional) so if you see this and remember me thank you girl lol. All consultants were rude except for Grecia. I had a bad experience, and I will never shop here again. THE ONLY REASON I BOUGHT A DRESS FROM THIS PLACE IS THAT MY DAUGHTER FELL IN LOVE WITH THE LAST DRESS SHE PUT ON. My daughter didn't care too much for Norissa or the other young white girl who worked there who was helping her with dresses. Yes, I called you out for only singling my family out for taking pictures when I didn't know it was your policy not to take pictures. The fact that everyone was taking pictures and you only came to us was unbelievable. The other customers agree that you all singled my family out. They told the staff they were wrong because they were taking pictures, too, and NO ONE said anything to them. I'm ok with your policy and will follow it with no problem, but make sure it's for every customer and not certain ones you feel you need to single out. My daughter felt very uncomfortable when Norissa and the other young white girl were talking about me when they took her to the dressing area. The fact they felt bold enough to say something about me in front of my daughter blows my mind. Saying stuff like that to my daughter and not me was disrespectful. What your staff should've done was address me and not my daughter. My daughter informed me about this after I left the shop because she knew I wouldn't have bought that dress if she told me what they said. I have read the responses from the owner when a bad review is posted and they only blame the customer. This time it wasn't the customer it was your rude staff. This is not the only review about your rude staff. Again, thanks, Grecia, for not being rude like the other girls. You made my daughter feel better after she stopped working with the other rude girls. Again, this was my experience. If you're reading this, hopefully, your experience will be better than mine. UPDATE: The fact that you cannot comprehend and are just a little slow, I'll break it down for you. Them talking about me made her uncomfortable. Not them telling her to follow the rules. The fact you said they were teenagers doesn't mean they have the right to be rude. More or less, it just proves my point they are young people with no work ethic and need to be trained correctly. You also need help in that department, so I see why they are this way. As the owner, you should train them to have people skills and be a positive example instead of justifying their behavior. This is why I support "certain businesses." We, as black people, don't know how to run one when it's flawed or take constructive criticism. As the owner, you should fix the problem to improve your business. Blaming customers shows me you are a black business. I'm black myself, and this type of stuff makes it hard to support BLACKED OWN BUSINESS. It's sad because you want to support people, but as you can see, you can't. You blame everyone except yourself and your staff for a customer's bad experience. This is why a majority of black-owned businesses fail because of owners like you. Many comments talk about how rude and disrespectful you and your staff are. Not every single last one is wrong. If more than five people say the same thing, it's true. Your response to their negative review is disgusting, despicable, and disgraceful as a business owner. I would be ashamed to respond the way that you did. You show that what they say about black-owned businesses is accurate and that you genuinely don't know how to run one. We blame everyone else for our businesses' failure but don't see that we were the problem and reason for failure. Since you are a business owner, correct it instead of blaming others for your bad business practice. BEWARE. They sold me a $375 gown that was torn and refused to make a repair because they claimed the dress was new as if plenty of people don't try their dresses on daily. They claimed I tore the dress and took no responsibility for selling me damaged goods. The gown was beautiful but they were so uncooperative. read more

Earlier today, my mother and I traveled over an hour to Cinderella's Dresses in order to find a gown for prom. Walking in, I was immediately assisted (by Emma) and asked if I had any inspiration for my look. Now, the shop was beautiful and they had a wonderful selection of dresses to try on, but I was concerned with the service, especially being a high end dress store. My consultant kept forgetting my name and asked me around 4 or 5 times to repeat it, which is not a huge deal but it just made me feel unimportant as a customer. Also, I felt a little bit rushed to the dressing room, which I understand if there is a limit to the number of dressing room items customers can have, but I was later told there was not. Additionally, at certain times when I showed my consultant which dresses I wanted to try next, she replied with "what else" in a dry manner, as if again, I was unimportant as a customer. Overall, she was polite and may have just been stressed from the influx of customers, but some responses/actions I just felt were inappropriate for any retail store, let alone a high end one. Not only that, but another consultant (I can't remember her name but had short brown wavy hair) was called over by my mother to pull more dresses to try on. After the first dress she pulled, I told her I had a few more I liked and she kind of rolled her eyes and sighed like I was inconveniencing her. I understand she wasn't assigned to me as a consultant but internally, that again made me feel unimportant as a customer. Even so, I would like to mention that the young woman in the back who helped me try on dresses was incredibly sweet and attentive!! I enjoyed every interaction with her and the business owner Dana, who was also very kind. We did end up purchasing a dress here, but I am glad my dress had to be specially ordered due to sizing because I did notice very slight condition issues on a few of the dresses I tried on. Overall, very beautiful shop but I just wish I would've had a better experience with some of the workers. read more

From the moment I walked through the door, I could tell I was I the right place ! Ms. Dana's taste in weeding dresses are impeccable ! My custom dress is the dress of my dreams , I also got my engagement photo dresses which she picked out because she knew exactly what I was looking for. however on a more general note the place is beautiful and luxurious with a huge variety of dresses and shoes. Dresses look nice but made in China so take that how you'd like. Customer service is terrible. Employees are rude and they have all sorts of strict rules and treat you like a child. You're only allowed to try on 3 dresses, you can't take them off the rack, and they don't help you at all. read more

I referred my mom to the store to buy a dress for her birthday party. My initial impression was very impressive. The customer service was very friendly and knowledgeable so I referred my mom. She went to the store and tried on gowns. There were limited selection in her size; however, she found a gown that would fit with alterations. Using the alteration referral provided by the store that they suggested my mom go to, she purchased the dress. My mom took the dress to the alterations place reference, and after pinning the dress, the lady at the alteration place said "if I'm being honest this dress isn't a good fit for you and it would better to get a different dress because it would require a lot of alterations." Based on the advice, my mom went to return the dress explaining what had happened. The owner proceeds to turn around a sign that says no exchanges and refunds. I know stores has policy; however, given the dress required extensive alterations based on the store referral, an exception could have been made. As a customer who lives in the area sometimes customer service should come before a sale. read more
