Kelly was great- fast quote, efficient work, very knowledgeable and friendly. Excellent value for the work.

Ok, first off I will say they did a lot of work at a competitive rate and were mostly cordial. However, I was completely appalled to come home to such a mess. I mean we are STILL cleaning ceiling out of cabinets/crevices. They damaged our $1400 dining table enough to need new varnish. Replaced a brand new comforter due to paint stains. Coffee table is going in the garbage. Even this could be overlooked if the job itself was quality. I don't have much to say about that and I'll just let the photos speak for themselves. The worst part, and the part that warrants a poor review, is we gave them more than one chance to make it right. Instead of addressing our concerns, we were completely ghosted. They took our money, our house key, and left us with a mess. Never had a final walkthrough that other reviews speak of. Now we are out thousands of dollars and need to pay someone else to fix their mistakes. Very disappointed. read more

Excellent work. Kelly refinished and painted the ceilings in my mid century home. They look amazing now. Highly recommend!

Kelly did a great job removing our acoustic ceiling mostly done by himself on a three bedroom, vaulted ceilings and skylights. You can really tell he cares for his work and customers. I'm glad that we went with Kelly vs another company! Would definitely recommend! read more

We had our popcorn ceiling removed and painted. excellent value and solid work. Thanks, Kelly!

Great work. Took three days plus one painting day to remove our hard "stucco" acoustic ceiling, but job well done

Kelly came on time( early) all tbree days, awesome job on ceilings- removal, sealer, texture and paint. Didn't waste any time, took into account we were home all three days and worked with us to keep it as smooth as possible. He has 30 years experience in a very hard, messy job and had a great attitude. Cleaned up every day so we could have our house back between days. Made an unpleasant job go by quickly- and his helper Oscar was just as hard a worker. We HIGHLY recommend these guys-very knowledgeable and friendly! read more

Too upset to convey all the damage they did at this time. We used them because several neighbors had in the past and had positive experiences. Definitely not ours! In short, they damaged my oak floors, and caused damage to the finish in 2 different places, showed ZERO respect for my oak tables, just threw their dirty utility knives and other tools on them, scratching the finish, and either kneeled or stood on my dryer causing multiple dents and creases that even a auto repair dent puller tool, could not repair! And all of that, on top of doing such a Horrible job, that we had to pay the painter to repair the damage!! Want your ceilings done right?! Call Mark Savage @ Luminosity Painting!!! Kelly is very professional, he's licensed and bonded. His price is very reasonable for the removal. He arrived when promised always on time. The popcorn removal was quick the work was excellent. He also painted the ceilings after. Additionally he changed out my dull square ceiling lights to bright LED. The lights brighten the spaces nicely. It's a great improvement. I had a deadline to move so he made sure to get the work done within the timeframe he promised. He added a light orange peel texture to match the walls. You can barely tell there is a little texture there. I followed his advice and he was right, it looks super nice and matches my interior well. I'm super happy with his price and work. I have high ceilings so I was very impressed with the finished product. I can't thank him enough. Feels good to move into my new place without the popcorn ceilings I hated. It was even in the closets 1400 square ft of it. Highly recommend. read more

Kelley did an excellent job removing the ceiling popcorns. The orange peel texture he put on looks so pretty. He also got the job done in 2 days including installing some lights for me and helped me mud over a bowed area in the ceiling in the laundry room out of his good will. His pricing is the best compared to various bids that I got. He also gave honest advice on how many LED lights I would need. Can't beat this man's work and price. I can't recommend Kelley enough. read more

Kelly responded quickly to my quote request for recessed lighting, and performed a walk-through of my home to provide a written quote. He is knowledgeable and detail-oriented, providing excellent advice and guidance on the best aesthetic placement of our recessed lights. The installation was smooth, on-schedule, and the final price matched the quoted amount. His work quality is excellent and he is a master at his craft. He cleaned up the job site before leaving everyday. I highly recommend Kelly for any drywall or recessed lighting projects, and plan to call on his services again for future projects. read more

I called Kelly before the world went upside down because of covid. I canceled our appointment because things seemed like they were getting bad. Long story short a year later I called Kelly again and he cheerfully replied the same day and worked me into his schedule. I wanted the popcorn ceiling removed, led lights installed and the ceiling primed and painted. He showed up on time and got to work. He ran into a problem installing my led lights and instead of saying it can't happen he did everything he could to make it happen and it made a huge difference! I wanted a dimmer switch for the lights and he didn't mind installing a dimmer that I had purchased. I was thinking about painting it myself but I'm glad I didn't. He did a great job and everything came out awesome! He patched some areas in my ceiling that needed to be smoothed out. He also touched up an area that just didn't come out right once it dried. He really takes pride in his work ! He did a great job at a very competitive rate . Do yourself a favor and have him primer, caulk and paint. It makes a huge difference! read more

Kelly and his crew removed some old popcorn ceiling from my mom's house in Upland, as well as installing some recessed lighting in a few rooms. His crew cleaned up after themselves pretty well and completed both items of work on time. His pricing is very reasonable. He does a follow through after the job is done so take your time and look over his work during that time and speak up about it right then and there. Don't be shy- he won't be insulted but work with you to fix any issues you may have. I docked one star because there were some parts on the ceiling that were scraped off with too much zeal but luckily we were getting the interior of the house painted and our painters took care of it. Recessed lights look great. Old popcorn ceilings are gone. House is really looking great. Scheduling is easy- I didn't call personally but my brother did. He said Kelly was honest and prompt. If you pay in cash, he offers a nice discount. He stills provides a work receipt and paperwork with cash so don't think it isn't legitimate. It's his business and he probably gets taxed on credit card fees which is why he offers the discount for cash. Totally understandable. read more

Kelly's crew was very professional and friendly. I have to admit that I was very skeptical when told they could remove all popcorn finish from the ceiling of my 2,500 sq foot home in 1 DAY. I had gotten prior bids for $1,000 more & 5 day completion. There were 4 of them that arrived right on time and completed the job in 8 hours. I was truly amazed and everything was cleaned up nicely. We just moved to Norco and our house had the dreadedddd popcorn ceilings. We gave Kelly a call based off the Yelp reviews and I'm glad we did. He came out a couple days later to bid the job and came back out a couple days after that to complete the job. He arrived on time and said he'd be done around 1 or 2 but was actually done around 12. Ceilings look great and 1000xs better. Overall super nice guy who does good work. Highly recommend. Thanks Kelly! read more

Kelly and his crew showed up right on time, took time to protect our possessions, removed t.v.s from walls, moved protected all ceiling fans, lights, took their time, professional beyond my expectations, and did a Fantastic job removing our outdated popcorn ceilings, cleaned up everything before leaving. Took them from 8:00a.m till 5:30 p.m with them taking an half hour lunch off site. Only complaint-has nothing to do with company, but wasn't ready for the extreme odors and humidity in house as evening closed in, had to open all windows, turn up heater and sleep with open doors and windows...others may not encounter these issues, as my allergies are extremely sensitive, by second day was able to close off lower portion of house, but upper windows remained open as yet. Kelly and his company are extremely professional and excellent customer service. read more

In November 2014, we had what we thought was popcorn and my husband spent 2 days trying to scrape it off the ceiling in one room. Once we realized it couldn't possibly be popcorn, we called Kelly, seeing all the positive reviews and hoping for the best. Kelly was very friendly, polite, and professional. He came to the house and told us we had textured plaster on the ceilings, not popcorn. He gave us an estimate, scheduled a day, and gave follow - up instructions for when the work was done. Our ceilings took 3 layers of compound instead of the usual 2, but they look beautiful! He and his team even got the popcorn out of the smallest places in closets and linen cupboards. We did find that, with our insulated windows, the extra moisture in the house took awhile to dry up, causing our walls on the south side of the house to drip with moisture and our alarm system sensors in the south rooms to slide off their plates, tripping the alarm several times in the wee hours. It was unforseen, but once the house was aired out a few weeks later it stopped being a problem. It's now July 2015 and we haven't had a problem since December or January. Thought this information would be helpful for anyone in a similar situation. read more

Scraping and texturing were done fine. As far as the paint and his recessed lighting , hire someone else . We are now finishing the job they should have finished. Cleaning caulking off refrigerator and along cabinets . Caulking all around the paint looks tacky . Not to mention I found paint splatter on my tv stand. Now we need a dimmer because the lights flicker. Should have left my old ones up. Crew came in at 8 and left at 2. Guaranteed if they stayed til 4 these fine details would not have been an issue. I told him I was not happy about the paint not being done correctly , he offered to drop off paint so we could finish his job.. AND THAT IS WHAT WE ARE DOING! Oh and look at the last picture. We now have a crack. WTF read more

I recently had Kelly's out to remove my popcorn ceiling. I shopped around a little but in the end the prices were all around the same and I just felt more comfortable with him. They were on time (which is a huge deal for me) and when I got home from work they were just finishing up and my house was just like I left it minus that nasty cottage cheese! I was kind of nervous to get this done at first but now that it is over I am sorry I waited so long. I'd definitely recommend using Kelly's if you are looking to have this done. read more

Contacted Kelly about removing popcorn ceilings in my house. Kelly was very responsive and gave me a price during his initial visit. I later contacted him to request adding some additional canned lighting and happily agreed. On the day of my job the crew were on time, very friendly introducing themselves to me. I was alone in the house with them while they worked and i felt very comfortable. The entire crew were very helpful with some difficult items i still needed to get off the walls and i really appreciate the care they took. The ceilings and new lighting look awesome, they were done in no time at all and left the floors and walls clean, hosing down the walkway where some chalk dust landed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. read more

Kelly's showed up at the scheduled time give us an estimate and they gave us a quote before they left! Two other companies I called, measured, left, and then I had to bug them several times to give me the quote. Kelly's removed the popcorn ceiling from our entire house. They also installed some recessed lighting in our kitchen that we love! I highly recommend Kelly's to everyone! read more

It's an overdue review for Kelly. First I found Kelly about 5 years ago on Craigslist (I think) and had him come out to do a small conversion from old florescent light to 4 - 6" canned lights for my father-in-law's kitchen. Kelly did an amazing job, wish I had pictures to show.. Fast forward to June-2015, I wanted to replace florescent light in a kitchen with 6-6" canned lighting and after going with other contractors, I just couldn't trust what estimates they gave me. So I had to dig thru 5 years of receipt to find Kelly, called him and gave me a fair quote to do the job. He came on schedule, completed the job in half a day. Did a fantastic job and cleaned up the place. Before leaving, Kelly gave me some valuable tips about LED vs Regular bulbs and said there was a GREAT sale at Costco for retro-fit LED lights. Sure enough, compare the price at Costco to everywhere on the web, including Amazon and it was the cheapest! With rebate it was $10.50 per light!! This time, I did take pictures and here they are ... before and after.. Kelly THANKS!! read more

Kelly and his crew did an okay job. We had the upstairs popcorn removed, 31 recessed lights installed, and a mirror wall removed. He quoted me below all other quotes we got for the job, and I'm fairly pleased with the result. Again, the job was adequate for the price, I have no regrets, but here are the issues I had. - They were a bit careless covering up (the condo was empty) and we had a TON of texture stains on the hardwood floors and cabinetry that we had to rub out. We also had a board soaked and discolored by water. - They dinged a wall when attempting to remove the mirror, and the wall the mirror came off from was not smoothed or pits spackled at all, they just textured it - had to have the painter spackle and re-texture. - A few of the lights were installed crooked. - Be extremely specific about what you want, or they will do things their way - which will not be your way - I guarantee it. I didn't specify that I wanted all kitchen lights on the same switch so he split them up on two switches which is a PITA because by themselves there is not enough light, so I always have to turn on and off both switches. - The quote was a bit hurried and I misunderstood his quote to include dimmer sliders, which it apparently did not - he didn't even install any switches just used the old ones. Don't be bashful and ask your contractor about every single detail that is involved to be sure you don't get "shorted". Minor hassle in this case as a slider is $20 a pop and easy to install yourself. - At the end of the day they called me and said they were just about done wrapping up. I left work early only to sit around for at least an hour before they were actually finished. read more

These guys are top notch. Kelly and his crew were in and out clean and professional! Not to mention I had a little bleed through on my can lights from the burn of the previous lights that were up. Kelly had no problem coming out and getting it fixed(all it needed was another coat of paint on that area) but it was the hassle factor for him and he didn't complain or gripe at all. The price with can lights was little less than one other guy. My neighbor called a guy that was dirt cheap and he didn't tape seams and it looked like crap. I paid just a few bucks more and got it done right! I plan on buying a few more properties or a small apartment complex and I will ABSOLUTELY call Kelly! Thanks Kelly and crew! read more

Called around and got estimates to remove the popcorn and replace it with recessed lighting. A friend referred me to Kelly's. The price was on average so I checked yelp and noticed lots of reviews that mentioned aspects of a job that are important to me. Mainly being professional and going the extra mile. When he arrived I was removing furniture from the rooms. He assured me I didn't to do that. I put some trust in him. He taped off and covered everything. Removed the popcorn, smoothed out the drywall, installed and wired the lights, and finally, painted the ceiling. It looks phenomenal! After clean up he was done in one day as promised with no mess. Not even dust. I am impressed. I wish there were more companies like his. Oh, he also offered to put my baseboards back on that the tile guy left off. Talk about going the extra mile. read more

Incredible service! We called around for different estimates. What we received made us wonder if we'd even remove the popcorn ceiling until we got an estimate from Kelly's Acoustic Removal. Not only was the price within budget, Kelly took the time to explain to us the whole process, timeframe, and what to expect during that time. He gave us his opinion on what would be best for the space that we had. It was obvious that Kelly wanted to make sure we'd be happy with our home and the changes being made. The crew was very professional. Everyone introduced themselves so we knew who was doing the work. All our furniture was moved by the crew and covered properly. They were flexible when we decided to add in extra lighting and more ceiling fans after the first batch was already installed. When the job was done, they put back the furniture the way it was on day one and cleaned up very well. You couldn't even tell they were there. They stuck to the timeframe, with no delays. You can tell that customer satisfaction and professional work is the top priority for this company. We inquired about a couple of additions when the job was completed and the response was great. You can tell that pride is taken in the work they do. The popcorn ceiling removal and recessed lighting has given our home such an updated feel.
