He smiles widely at you as he sums you up with assumptions based on your skin color. Sean did nothing for me, made his own decisions, and withheld pertinent information, including telling my Lender," Don't bother her, she's too busy." He left me out of the loop as a buyer. So, I began making calls on my own behalf regarding this purchase. Now here is the kicker - Sean Fruth, let me close on a property without informing me of damage found in the unit. He did not make an effort to provide a Disclosure Report regarding the property damage. Because of that, I closed on a property that was undergoing remediation and teardown, the week my Mother was to move in. The Contractor on the building had to inform all the owners in that stack that they had found severe water damage: wood rot, termites, asbestos in the structure.  It was so horrendous and hazardous that they immediately began tearing down walls! Oh yeah, and I'm now the 'new owner.' Sean knew from the beginning that this building had a problem - But his only concern was getting his Commission and getting out! Not that he is selling a much anyhow. I had to share what happened to me with you. And half of all those great Reviews are from people he knows personally. What a Snake!

He was very knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of our questions - even with the uncertainty of how the real estate market was in 2020. He also did loans and it was great to have to just work with one person on real estate and loan questions. Flash forward to 2022, we ultimately held back on purchasing a property during the HOT market and settled on an area unfamiliar to Steve on the real estate. We went through a recommended local real estate agent in the area we purchased, but Steve continued to give us great advice on real estate. We also wanted to continue with Steve on our loan needs, and he made the process super EASY. For those that know the process of purchasing a home, it can be quite overwhelming. Thankfully our loan process with Steve was the smoothest and easiest of all the tasks needed to purchase our home. I'll forever be grateful for that, and would recommend and continue to work with Steve in the future.

Drew has an extensive list of resources and helped us find movers, painter, carpet layer, handyman, house cleaner, a stager, and a photographer and got the unit on the market in less than a month. We had been trying to do this for at least a year. He knows the market, and his estimates for the cost and timing of the work were spot on. We recently closed on the unit at a price that met our expectations, and his communication with us throughout was exceptional. If we ever decide to move to Rossmoor, we'll definitely look to engage with him again. Drew is an exceptional real estate agent and we highly recommend him.

A resident overheard my conversation and asked me if I had a realtor. I told her I didn't. She said she didn't want to impose but knows a realtor who both sold her a condo and helped her purchase another one. She gave me the name Drew Plaisted. She said he specializes in the Rossmoor community. I generally don't take a strangers suggestion without doing some research first. All my research led me to realize that he was certainly worthy of me meeting with him. My wife and I met with him at my Mothers condo. It was readily apparent that he was knowledgeable about the market, the Rossmoor community and my mother's specific floor plan. More than just the business end of our meeting we saw that he was genuine, personable and deeply committed to helping us when we really needed someone. Drew gave us suggestions to improve the condos marketability. We hired the contractors that he suggested and came to realize that they too had pride in how they did their jobs. The condo recently closed. I know that there are a lot of moving parts in a real estate transaction and was prepared for some hiccups. I must say there were ZERO problems and the whole process was seamless. I HIGHLY recommend Drew! My entire family cannot thank him enough for the care that he showed us during these difficult times.

Despite the fact that we were new to the Bay Area (we moved to SF from Washington, DC in Jan. 2013), and despite the insanely competitive housing market, we were able to find an absolutely wonderful place (within our budget!) in just a few months. Buying a house is not easy, and there are many issues, small and large, that can put a wrench in your plans. But working with Anne and Josh made it as painless as possible! They are a husband/wife team that works seamlessly together. We first met Josh at an open house, and we were impressed with his honest, candid insight into the area we were looking (North Oakland/Berkeley). Likewise, Anne's straightforward candor is very refreshing. Josh has extensive contracting experience, and he worked with us on a few different houses to get us estimates of renovation costs, what was possible (and what wasn't worth it), and also provided us with great insight into each microhood. Anne handled a lot of the paperwork and financial aspects, and she patiently walked us through every aspect, from sewer lateral compliance, disclosures, legal jargon, etc. etc. Both Anne and Josh were always accessible by email, phone, or text. We didn't feel at any time that we "slipped through the cracks" or that we were the only ones doing any legwork. They also gave us a lot of advice on the quirks of the local real estate market. We thought that because we had previously bought a house in Arlington, Virginia, we wouldn't need a realtor. But after working with Anne and Josh we realized that we avoided a TON of headaches and learned sooo much. I really feel like they educated us, as well as kept us boosted so we maintained optimistic but realistic expectations. After we bought our house, they made sure to help us with warranties, taxes, insurance, etc. -- things that would have been overwhelming all at once without them. All in all, Anne and Josh are a great team!!

The second word is "knowledgeable." They value doing the right thing over the lucrative thing. The three of them spent the time to give us thoughtful advice and counsel. The other side presented a few challenging moments during closing, but working with a collaborative close-knit team really gave us the tools to close out the transaction successfully. Since we were not ready to move in, and were not in the area, they quickly helped us to fix up minor issues and rent it out it to a great tenant. One last comment, we really appreciate the way that Ron, Anne and Josh went the extra mile for us on a number of occasions.

Approaching 2026, my wife and I made the decision to move out of state to be closer to our children and grandchildren. We realized we would have to sell our home, and assessing the scope of what was going to go into this, we realized we needed to select a quality individual or team who would handle all facets of this transaction. Over the years, we had been receiving flyers from a team at Compass called Frazzano Tse. We got a good feeling from the approach of their marketing pieces which prompted us to reach out to them to see if they would be willing to speak to us. While I knew prior to the meeting that they had a superior track record in the field and were very accomplished, during the meeting itself there was not a single mention of this. The entire conversation revolved around the needs of my wife and I, what we are trying to accomplish, our time frame, and what was important to us. While our original intent was to perhaps interview a couple of different agents, at the end of that meeting we made the decision that that was not necessary. We were confident that we found people who truly had our best interests at heart. Understanding that this was not our areas of expertise, we promised ourselves that we would do exactly what Alex and Joe asked of us. During the process, there were a number of suggestions that they made where our initial reaction was to push back because of our preconceived notions. Each time they explained to us the cause and effect of what they asked of us. Ultimately, we put quite a bit of time and money into making our house more attractive and desirable with the hope that it would sell quickly and for top dollar. Finally at the end of a process that started six months earlier, the house was ready to go on the market. To our amazement, the very first individual who viewed the property made an offer that was significantly over the price we were asking for all cash and asked for a quick close. This was a quality buyer who obviously felt strongly about owning our home. The escrow process also went very smoothly, and from start to finish, from the day our home was listed to close was less than 30 days. I base the success of any business transaction on the number of times one is negatively surprised during the process. We can honestly say there was not a single point in time when there was a timeline missed, or that what they said would happen didn't actually happen, and oftentimes turned out better than what they prepared us for. In closing, I do believe one of the best decisions we ever made was going on a simple hunch from a marketing piece that these two individuals were people we wanted representing us in the single largest financial transaction of our lives. We could not have been more pleased or recommend them any more highly. Thank you once again, Alex and Joe, for exceeding our expectations. Eric & Nancy Furstner
