I used to go here very consistently with my mom. We were pretty loyal customers for a couple years and had a nice relationship with the owner. The shop itself is very beautiful and clean and the service is usually decent. But my nails usually do not come out very good, I usually have to brace myself for disappointment Unfortunately the last time I came in here it was for my birthday and I was very excited to get my nails done. Some of the times I've come in there was a cute little dog. I love dogs BUT the dog was peeing all over the ground which was not cool. The owner was sweet as usual until she started commenting on my weight in front of other customers. I understand that people of the older generation don't have the best filter but I was just very shocked because not only had I been coming here for years, but it was super random and completely inappropriate. I'd recommend this place for people who want very simple designs and want to support a small business but not for anyone else. read more

I got a manicure with shellac. The lady was very nice but the manicure wasn't the best. The shape of the nail itself is nice but the polish no. I asked her to go all the way up, but she did not. She painted one finger and hand me switching hands in and out of the uv machine every finger. If that's proper technique, fine I've just never done it that was and it was slightly annoying. There was a lot of leftover nail polish on my finger nails which she didn't try to get off. The "massage" also lasted 3 seconds for each arm. Just enough to get the lotion rubbed in. Sigh. read more

WORST APPOINTMENT OF MY LIFE. DO NOT GO HERE. I first picked a light color. The color was a bad color and she the nail artist put on three coats and it was see through and looked like a 5 year old painted it. I told them I do not like the color and so they removed it. I chose a different color that wasn't light so I wouldn't have the same problem. I went to go pay and they charged me for the removal of the first color... I told them that it wasn't my fault and that I shouldn't have to pay for their faulty nail colors and they charged me because they told me their nails artist sets the price. I said fine, paid. At this point I was angry that I was paying for their mistakes. I looked down at my nails and I noticed one already and a chip and the others look a little messed up. I drove home washed my hands and one of my nails had complete come off. COMPLETELY OFF like it was still wet. I went back in and they fixed a few nails, I pointed out that they seemed to be using a different color now and they told me that it was the same color. It was dark inside so I couldn't really tell. I told them that a few other nails look like they're going to just wipe off. And they didn't fix those they just a fixed a few. I got home and THEY USED TWO DIFFERENT COLORS. Now my nails are two different colors and I can already see that the ones they didn't fix are coming off. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. Horrible customer service. They should have just offered to redo my entire nails. I hate spending a lot of time at nail salons I wasted three hours. My whole day at this horrible place. DO NOT GO HERE. SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. This place was really nice! Very clean inside. They were very friendly right from the start. A lot of colors to choose from. I got a pedicure and gel polish manicure. Tracy did a great job on my nails- I am highly satisfied with my experience here. They do prefer you use cash- but still take card. Loved how it turned out!! Kelly Nails did an amazing job on my nails. I got a pedicure from there a few days ago and they couldn't be nicer. They took their time but didn't take too long. The paint job is perfect and they even offered me a soda or water. I paid and left and when I got to my friend's apartment I smudged my toe on my flip flop. I went back for them to fix it; they did and the guy refused to take my money! I asked twice and he insisted that I not worry about it but not to do any more "ninja kicks." Very happy with the pedicure I received. They really spend a lot of time on your feet and I got a great foot massage! Bonus it is very close to my house. Prices are reasonable and the shop is clean. I think their prices are high but I was assured I'd be able to go several weeks between fills (pink & white). It's been 2 weeks and I know I can easily go another week or two. The owner, Billy, does an excellent job on nails and is very service oriented. Their salon is state-of-the art and clean, which is important to me. Do not go here! This used to be my only location for shellac manicures and pedicures. I would only see Tracy, as she did an amazing job. About 2 months ago, I went in for an appointment. I was told at that time, Tracy is no longer working there. I had an idea of what I wanted for my nails, knowing this was an extra special trip in for my birthday. It's a design/color that I had done before. When I showed the lady the photo, she said "Oh no we can't do that." We proceeded to have a conversation about it and she was incredibly rude. She even walked around the store yelling in another language. Just because I don't speak your native language, does not mean body language doesn't speak enough. She was clearly yelling about my request...seems childish and you are in customer service. If you want a successful business, that does not include yelling at valued customers. After her tantrum, she came back to the front and said they could do it for double the normal cost. Clearly, it was all about money. So I walked out, no nails done/birthday ruined, to never return again. Beware, the new management is terrible and they do not care about keeping loyal customers. Too bad! I just had the same terrible painful experience with the older gentleman doing my nails. He took three hours and everyone just ignored the look of disatisfaction on my face. I got the impression he was intentionally hurting me as well. They were short staffed so I forced to remain with him until the lady Tracy was done with a large party. I finally yelled out that she needed to finish my nails. My nails turned out beautiful and she apologized but did not offer me a discount. This was my first time here as I just moved in the neighborhood and will never return again. This was the worst nail salon experience of my life. read more

I got acrylic nails here recently and I will not be returning. It took TWO hours to get them done. I got regular polish (which took 15 minuets to apply, I was watching the clock) and at check out I asked why this took so long expecting to receive a discount for the trouble but the woman insisted it was because I got regular polish and not gel. The man who did my nails did not speak English and simply pulled at my hand and fingers when he wanted me to move. I have cuts on two of my fingers and I was bleeding at the salon. I have been going to Kelly Nails for years. They were good in the past. A couple of months ago, I scheduled an appointment. When I arrived they told me they couldn't help me, come back in 2 hours. I said no, I have another appointment. Tracy just laughed it off and said come back another day. I didn't go back until last week. Tracy did my nails and told me the total was $35.00. My nails looked ok, not great. When I looked at my credit card receipt, she actually charged me $45.00. I will not go back there. read more

Worst. Manicure. Experience. Ever. I went here today for a manicure and was at first very pleased, because the price was only $15. However, for what I endured, The owner should've paid me $15! There were only two employees, one woman and the male owner. I had the misfortune of having the owner do my nails. Okay, I admit I have short nails. While this situation is okay with me, it was apparently not okay with the owner. He spent the entire manicure session chastising me for having said short nails. He told me that by having short nails, I was putting myself at risk for "problems with [my] brain and heart." He even went so far as to tell me he was a "nail doctor." Then, he compared my nails to that of the customer next to me, a woman with long nails. He told me that my nails were ugly and hers were beautiful. I told him that this hurt my feelings. He told me, "Well, it's true." I told him, "I never asked for your opinion." I then made it a point to tell him that because the price was so good, I had planned to come here every week now to get my manicures, but because of his rudeness I would never come back again. He just smiled and didn't seem to mind. I found his demeanor appalling. I guess he is so well-off that he can afford to alienate customers. However, I do not believe in supporting businesses with bad customer service. So, I would urge anyone considering a manicure to go somewhere else. This is particularly true if you have short nails and wish to avoid a lecture. Also, I would add that he reused many manicure instruments from previous sessions, including buffing sponges, which by law should not be reused. It was also unclear whether any of the instruments, including the cuticle scissors, had been properly sanitized. In addition, although I had requested clear nail polish when I walked in, he seemed to think that "buffing" the nails would give the same effect. When he was done, I said that I still wanted clear polish. He looked annoyed and applied a pink base coat. I said, "No, I want clear polish." He tried to tell me it was the same thing and then admitted he was out of clear polish. Uh, he might have just SAID THAT when I walked in! Avoid this place if you value fungus-free nails, a relaxing spa experience and wish to maintain your self-esteem. You have been warned! read more
