I switched to Family Wellness and they wanted me to come in every 6 months instead, which was still okay and manageable for me. Last time I visited, they said they changed their rules and I have to go every 3 months now. I don't have the time to keep scheduling appointments every 3 months with the job I currently work, and 3 months goes by too fast. I wish they would understand that. I also have issues with bloodwork EVERY SINGLE TIME I go there because they send me to the same woman. I don't know her name, but she can never get blood drawn on me and ends up having to repeatedly attempt on both arms and even wiggles the needle around to try and find a vein. Last time I went she checked both arms 3 times before asking another nurse to try and get my blood. The other nurse got it on the first try with zero issues. I refuse to get anymore bloodwork done if there's no serious reason to get it now all because of her. I'll be changing doctors as soon as I can find another one that'll be more compatible...

Last month it took three or four days to call in a regular prescription that I had that out for many years yesterday morning at 9:45 I called in a prescription today it is 314 and that prescription has still not been called in I have called the doctors yesterday and today many times. There must be a reason that they are understaffed if the doctor can't handle seeing his patients and calling in their prescriptions they need to fix this or I need to find a new doctors office.

1/6 Dr Carnedas…read moreseems like a good doctor but his assistant is incompetent . This particular medical assistant can't follow simple request by providing a doctors authorization needed. I had to call multiple times and repeat myself over and over that I did not need a DOT certification, just an authorization because of a prescription from Dr Cardenas. Even proof I have been seen by the doctor and monitored during the time of this medication would have been suffice. I never got it. I requested to speak directly to Dr Cardenas and they denied my request. Tried to make an appointment to do so and they told me it would be at least 2 months until I can see him. It's was either Kim or Alison I believe that called back at 5:06pm on 1/6 to make a threat to drop me as a patient because I was rude by saying I would come to the office if I do not get a call back. Update 1/15: received letter in the mail discharging me as a patient, supposedly signed by Dr Cardenas by an electronic signature . Dr Cardenas never attempted to make contact with me to discuss my side of things. I doubt he even knows about this. The incredibly rude and incompetent staffer is the cause of this and this is an entirely ego driven decision by her. They refused contact with the doctor and would not get me a letter of authorization but they had no problem sending me this letter. Happy to go somewhere else.

I'm in my 50s and over my life I have seen many doctors. Dr. Bennett is by far the best doctor I have ever had. I highly recommend Dr. Bennett. Dr. Bennett's office is well organized, and I have had no problem getting the prescriptions I needed. In the almost 20 years of seeing Dr. Bennett I have never had a problem with him, his nurses, or his office. I really thing the problems the 1-star reviewer was having is a result of St. Thomas and not Dr. Bennett. St. Thomas Medial Partners suck: I will say if I was evaluating St. Thomas Medical Partners, I would give them a zero star. St. Thomas Medial Partners has really made it difficult for the doctors to give good care. St. Thomas Medial Partners has created a dangerous environment and showed that money is more important than patient health. They require patients to share check-in tablets that contain viruses and germs from sick people who previously handled the tablets. They think that because the check-in tablets have antimicrobial cases, they can't spread viruses. When a sick person handles the tablets the viruses they leave behind remain for a little while, so the next person then gets the virus. Antimicrobial cases do not instantly kill germs and viruses. It basically just means they can't continue to grow. The idiots running St. Thomas Medial Partners has put a mass shooter welcome sign on their front doors. I'm sure they are just idiots and don't know they are welcoming mass shooters. Dr. Bennett does a great job negotiating the roadblocks St. Thomas Medial Partners puts in his way. Sumner Medical Group was a truly great medial practice until St. Thomas got a hold of them.

I'm 60 and believe in respect and manners. This nurse over the phone told me she would call the drug store and cancel a prescription if I fool with her. I had lost my prescription. She decided I no longer needed them after over 20 years of taking them . Yes it is nerve medication. But I went in one last time to be yelled at by her . And I was done. Dr Bennett is a good kind man . But he definitely hurt himself having a rude incompetent nurse taking over his office.

My friend sustained second-degree burns a few weeks ago after a Starbucks tea lid popped off as he picked up the drink while getting out of the car, and this urgent care happened to be the closest option available. During the initial visit, the experience was fine. We saw a male doctor whose name I unfortunately do not remember, but the interaction was normal, professional, and friendly. We later had two follow-up appointments. The first follow-up also went smoothly with a blonde female doctor wearing glasses who was pleasant and professional. Unfortunately, the second follow-up experience was completely different. A blonde woman with glasses who appeared to oversee the front desk was speaking loudly across the room while requesting patients' personal information. At one point, she had two people at the desk simultaneously asking both individuals for personal information. My friend became very uncomfortable and later said "the lady gave him a headache" because personal questions were repeatedly being called out loudly, and people often seemed confused about whether she was speaking to them, having to repeatedly ask, "Are you talking to me?" In a medical setting where privacy should be expected, this felt highly unprofessional. Additionally, a heavier woman repeatedly came to the front desk to ask the receptionist if she was okay, but only when I, or another Black woman nearby, happened to stand near the front desk for any reason. I never spoke to her directly and never even interacted with her personally, which made the repeated behavior feel uncomfortable and unusual. During this follow-up, another doctor (an older blonde woman with glasses) entered the room with an energy that immediately felt aggressive. She seemed dismissive of my presence as a support person and spoke loudly in my friends face while examining his skin. We have photographs of the burns, and the skin was still visibly sensitive and partially raw in areas. Despite this, she stated that it looked "completely healed," even though the area remained sensitive enough that even wearing a shirt over it caused discomfort. We also received guidance from a family friend with experience working in a burn unit who advised continuing to keep the area covered and lightly bandaged until the skin had healed further. Hearing that the injury was "completely healed" despite what we were still seeing and experiencing created confusion and concern. What made the situation even more uncomfortable was the atmosphere surrounding us. The doctor, nurses, and receptionist were laughing loudly and made inappropriate comments implying that I was acting like my friend's mother, when in reality I was simply there because he experiences anxiety in situations like these and wanted support. It felt uncomfortable having our friendship perverted through assumptions and sexual jokes. This occurred after I simply asked for a receipt for our payment, which seems like a completely ordinary request. I remained quiet and respectful throughout the visit, yet I felt subjected to inappropriate comments and uncomfortable looks. As someone who has dealt with inappropriate jokes and assumptions in the past, the experience was personally upsetting and brought back trauma. What concerned me most was not simply the humor itself, but what felt like a lack of judgment and emotional maturity in a setting where patients are vulnerable and trusting healthcare professionals with their care. In healthcare, professionalism, awareness, and sound judgment are essential because patients should never leave feeling ridiculed, sexually assaulted verbally and emotionally uncomfortable. Overall, this experience was disturbing and disappointing. Healthcare environments should prioritize professionalism, patient privacy, respect, and making patients feel safe and heard. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. Please use discretion if you already struggle with anxiety, past sexual trauma, or place a high value on privacy, professionalism, and feeling respected while receiving care. God bless.
