I used to frequent this store quite often when I lived in the area. I now live in the North Bay, and while I was visiting home this weekend, my mom and I were walking downtown and window shopping. We were both dressed in work out clothes and probably didn't look extremely put together, but nonetheless we were extremely profiled by the owner. When we walked in the store she was immediately rude to us and proceeded to follow us around the store as if we looked suspicious and couldn't afford anything. My mom was looking at a pair of expensive shoes and she continued to talk in a very demeaning tone to my mom, acting as though she was stupid and had no right to be looking at such shoes. I've never experienced such disrespect from a small business owner. As someone who has a very similar style preference to the clothing offered in Kelli's, I will never give them another dime of my money. It's a very poor look. read more

I love this store! The owner & employees are so kind & personable. The store has higher end brands so prices reflect that, but it isn't any higher then boutiques or dept stores that carry these same brands. One of the only stores in Merced that has consistently great fashionable pieces that are also great quality. I've only had great experience with their staff & their items. read more

Atmosphere: Nicely decorated and expensive looking boutique at a corner of Downtown Merced. Clothes are nicely hung and laid out on display tables. Customer service: Greeted nicely upon entering, but you can tell, there was an unwelcoming vibe. I had very similar experiences to the previous yelp reviews by Caitlyn and Jackie and their reviews were a couple years ago. Some things just don't change. Clothes: Cute clothes, but on the $$$$ side. Some are trendy, some are fashionable, and others are just expensive basic pieces. Shoes, bags, accessories are sold here too. We never have trouble finding amazing things @ Kelli's - from shoes & jewelry, to great outfits! My Mother-in-Law started taking me there, years ago when Kelli's was just a new shop, & now we bring my grown daughters, & their girls there for a special treat! We never leave without several bags of great clothes - for all of us! The service is fantastic....all the staff picks right up on cues from us, & soon are bringing things we love from the racks, to try on! I was going through the reviews and I felt I needed to write a current one. I absolutely love Kelli's. I have been buying from this boutique for about 7 years now. Kelli's carries high end to reasonably priced items. The shoe selection is excellent and her sales are even better. I have purchased clothes for myself and for my kids and have never been disappointed. The girls have always been super nice and helpful. Kelli is a little rough around the edges but she is an amazing person when you get to know her. I have never been made to feel less than in this boutique and I am Hispanic. Even when my kids were running around like crazies. I will continue to shop here for as long as the doors stay open. read more

As I arrived at the store, I was greeted immediately by an associate. The store is super clean. I walked up to the cute clothing for children but was distracted by the nice Joe's jeans that were hanging on the side. "They are just too skinny for me," I thought to myself. One of the associates came and asked me if I needed help. I told her I was looking for something for a wedding. She walked around with me making suggestions as well as asking me what I'm comfortable wearing. She grabbed about six dresses and hand them in the dressing room for me. She was very friendly and helpful. The store is quaint but has many treasures for women and children who love fashion. The associate allowed me to walk around on my own to do my own shopping. I found a cute, hot pink dress on a sales rack, and I tried on the rest of the dresses in the fitting room. I was happy with the one I found! I look around for anything else that I might need for the summer. There were lots to choose from for my fashion eye, but I settled for a pair of white jeans that the sales associate handed me. It fit well, and I decided to buy the hot pink dress and jeans. There aren't many stores like this in Merced. Kelli's is a gem. If you love fashion and name brands, this is the perfect store for you. I found this place by aimlessly driving around downtown Merced. I honestly didn't think that a store like this would even exist! Yes, they are on the pricer side but Kelli carries only name-brands. Juicy, DVF, kenise, 7 for all mankind, Michael Starr, and even deisgner jeans, Joes, Paige, and even J Brand. When I went, everything was basically 40% off the ticketed price, with some few exceptions. But 40% off on designer label, count me in! Really cute clothes! I wish they were a bit cheaper... I would have purchased the whole store! Kelli is definitely top notch when it comes to customer service! Kelli is super nice!! She is super funny too! Kelly knows what the latest trends are and brings them to Merced . You don't have to travel out of town for those great brands . I don't know why nobody has reviewed this store! This store is absolutely horrible and the women treat you like shit. STOP GIVING THEM YOUR MONEY! There is a reason why I'm hesitant to visit this place anymore when I'm visiting my family. As someone who is from the Bay Area, who the hell do these people think they are?? I work in high end retail as a visual merchandiser. They have stuff that's ridiculously overpriced especially for Merced! I can find the same items for half the price and some of it you can find at TJMaxx. I honestly don't know how they sell any of that, nobody is rolling in money in Merced. The staff is really rude, they stare you down and this one chick asked me five times if I was "doing alright" and yes I was the first time and every time two minutes in between each time you asked! I literally wanted to walk out of there because I work in retail and I know that fake shit people do just to keep an eye on you. Excuse you ladies, but this is a pretty women scene here. I own a fucking DVF bag that I walked in with and a MK watch. Trust me, I can afford your shit but with the way you treat people why would I ever give you my business. Some of the so called designer stuff they have isn't even the real shit. They buy the lower end stuff that is massed produce for boutiques like theirs. Again, half of that stuff are lines that are findable at TJMaxx or Marshalls in the Bay Area. They stared me down like I was going to steal something or I wasn't fancy enough to be there. People really need to stop judging people on how they look. You'd be surprised that the person who dresses really casual actually has a wardrobe back home you'd die to get ahold of!!
