Kelley's is not my neighborhood bar, since I live on the Westside, but it's one of my best friend's neighborhood bar, so we still end up here quite often. The vodka tonics are always cold and delicious and strong, and the jukebox has a great selection that keeps us singing along all night. Also, the bartenders are really nice and always take a moment to talk with us. What's not to love about Kelley's? Oh, there is one little thing . . . I wish Kelley's would get an air conditioner! My first time going last night and it will definitely be my last. Only one bartender for the entire place who makes crappy drinks. I think I actually spent about 30 mins trying to get a drink. One security guard that was helping in the bar area, but didnt serve drinks... [POINTLESS] Music was wonderful when I got there, but then just got lame after an hour. It's crowded, theres a bunch of creepers trying to grab up on you, and random people leaning on your car. Oh! And they don't accept cards at the bar. I love this bar. I'm there mostly on wednesday nights. They bring in a dj and they play a wide range from 80's to today's pop hits. The drinks are cheap . I usually spend about $40 in a night not bad. Only drawback no a/c:( stay by the door or wear something cool cause it can get packed. It's always a cool crowd, but best when you go with friends. When you order a drink best to go to the wet bar, where usually a waitress would get the drinks. Best way is to become a regular get to know the bartender, then you can order a drink with just a wave. read more

3.5 stars. Its a good lil local spot to have a couple drinks with friends. It has the perfect noise level, to where you can actually have a conversation without screaming to the top of your lungs. Drinks are pretty cheap. The bartender is usually nice but usually there is only one which sucks. So you have to wait a lil to get your drink. The jukebox has some good music selections current stuff and good tunes from the 90's. read more

I've had one of the best times I'll never remember here. It's not a 5 star type of place but some nights you stumble upon a good time. They don't have much to choose from but it does the trick. Don't expect beers on tap, or a brewery variety. One thing I don't like is that they serve drinks in small plastic cups almost at prices you'll find at a restaurant. Makes me think "I could have gotten this drink elsewhere in a bigger glass for about the same price". Point is I have become fond of this place because of that one great experience I had here. One of the security guards has always been welcoming and hospitable towards me, so I try to go on Saturdays when he's there because he's cool. Decent chill bar Walked in here late on a sunday night with a friend. I didnt expect there to be much people there, but the small dive bar had probably 10 - 12 people chillin. Jamin to some good jukebox beats, and drinking decently priced drinks. Since it was so close to last call and there wasnt that many people there the bartender hooked up the drinks for a little longer and added a little extra of the good stuff to help us out. It was a good night out at Kelley's having a few beers, but our night got ruined. We had to call our bank because the bartender gave someone else our card and that persons card didn't even have funds. That is the last thing we want to do on our night out. I was disappointed at the carelessness of the bartender. There was only five people in the bar. How can you mess up? read more

Went here in Saturday night. Worse bar ever! They have a clue less bartender first of all. Asked for a mojito and she said they didn't have the ingredients asked for a Scooby snack and she said the same thing. Wtf a bar who doesn't have the right alcohol?? Asked her to make me something fruity and she kept shrugging her shoulders! She ended up pouring Malibu and pineapple juice which is really a drink for a five year old ! I came here because yelp said it had the best Irish car bombs and yes it did! Walked in on 08/24/15 around 4pm and they had a few customers bartender right away asked what we were having. Drinks were great when I couldn't decide she gave me a drink book they have in the back and I picked a random drink it tasted great! I wanted to like this bar. Good music. Irish. Cool vibe. Came in for a beer and to use the restroom. The restroom doesn't have a lock for the toilet and is completely useless for taking a #2. To use my debit card is a $15 minimum or I can use the ATM with an unreasonable charge. Won't be coming back. read more

Men pee with the door open and the bartender is fine with this practice and was put out when we informed him of these low class pigs. This place is a hometown fave of mine. Its local, cheap, and no frills. Don't expect anything fancy here but do expect great local atmosphere. I dont know where these people are from that are posting there are "ghetto" people here. I havent experienced any unpleasant people here. In fact everyone was cool. I was visiting from out of town and heard about this place. Not bad for a Tuesday night, not very crowded but the bartender and the bouncer were friendly. Great prices, great drinks, ended up staying there the rest of the night. Not a big selection of alcohol, They have a juke box and a pool table, no patio for us smokers but the back parking lot does the trick. Will definitely go back next time I'm in the area. read more

This is the best bar in Downey. The drinks are low priced, the bartenders are nice. There's a pool table, and the ambient is dark and relaxing. It's a good place to get away from a stressful day. And no one will bother you here. You can sit back and watch sports and drink. read more
