My friend is partial to this watering hole so we popped in for a drink. The décor is cool and reminded me of old school pubs in Europe. The establishment is huge, and you'll find it below sidewalk level. In addition to the main bar area there are several other rooms to hang out in, have a good time, and play pool. I imagine it gets lively at night. On the menu you'll find standard pup fare. We just had lunch so we ordered drinks instead. The bartenders were friendly and the background music was a mixture of classic rock & country. There are also TVs for your viewing pleasure. I was here at 11pm on 3-17-26, St. Patrick's Day. First, it was a ridiculous $30 cover charge that came with a free drink. At the bar there was only one actual bartender, so it took over 30 minutes to get a drink. The other ladies with green tape on their breasts just walked back and forth not really helping anyone unless someone raised their hand. They were also not allowed to help customers using a credit card. I used the coins to get the free ($30, but actually $8 each) green beers. As you can see in the photo, it's mostly foam. And she had the nerve to ask for a tip. Lastly, there were only two stalls on the women's restroom and both were completely out of toilet paper. read more

I love coming here to watch a football game , or a ufc fight ; it's always a good time. This time around I decided to get some food and it did not disappoint ! 4:40pm on Friday the 20th. Girl at the bar is absolutely a disgrace to the servers industry. No interest in her guests, no promoting anything positive about the pub. Ordering a drink was a chore and felt like a punishment. Literally on her phone the whole time and no desire to upsell or push anything for sales in your pub but her fingers on her phone. 15 years in the industry and this is up there for one of the worst representations of a business. Had to reopen for a closing review. Bartended refused to make other customers drinks because was apparently out of everything. They just wanted lime juice. She denied service. When closing out she said she had no change and was only excepting the bills people had. Will never come back to this establishment and will let everyone know the same. Embarrassing read more

They're deleting messages from tonight, St Patty's on 3/17/26--management increased entrance fees from $10 to $30, even though they advertised they would only charge $10 all night and then deleted the post entirely where they advertised that for weeks (I have screenshots). When we got there and complained on IG, they deleted the post. They only had about 3-4 bartenders and it took 30-45 min to get a drink, at all, even though we paid for drinks and then had to wait 30 mins and more to ge the drinks we already paid for. When asked at the front door why they changed the price from $10 to $30, they said "because owners can do whatever they want." We asked multiple times for help and were brushed off. We made our concerns known to management and they didn't care. They said people would pay anyway. read more

March 21 around 3pm. The lady bartender had terrible attitude. Did not give me any menu and looked like she did not want to be there. What raised red flags was when I tried to pay with my Amex card and she said "DO YOU HAVE CASH? That is preferred." I am only visiting and did not have cash so she took my card with the machine to the back. Now I am unsure if I should freeze this card that she took out of my sight. 4.5 stars - We were bar-hopping in the neighborhood after the LA Beer Fest and found this gem. Massive space, including a covered outdoor area. Games like ping pong and such. Reasonable prices. I heard this pub is one of the few places in LA that pours a proper pint of Guinness. Brian the bartender is a great guy who cares about serving Guinness right. He also treats his customers well (cheers for the Jameson's shot!). I've spent my fair share of time in London and New York City pubs, Casey's has a great old school vibe. The only minor disappointment is they stopped using the Guinness pint glasses cuz people were swiping them. Bummer. Give Brian a visit if you want a Guinness in downtown LA! read more

Went here for some drinks after dinner. First off the bartender on duty was very rude and acted like he didn't want to be at work. Every drink I asked for he said he won't make it . Ended up with beer and water . Second the bathroom is absolutely atrocious, toilet paper all over the floor, no soap, toilets not flushing and also throw up in the sink good portion of the time I was there. If you're lucky enough to catch them when they're open, which they usually aren't, there's hardly anyone actually working. I found this bar underground while walking with my boyfriend through DTLA after a jazz night, I loved the ambiance and the decorations. There are pool tables and games to play. The bartenders had a great conversation with my boyfriend and I, made us feel welcome. If you're in the mood for a great Irish soup or some delicious Shepherd's Pie, you don't have to go to Ireland..unless you can, in which case I'd definitely say go. However, if you're just looking for a quick fix, then Casey's Irish Pub in DTLA has you covered. Not only does it give that classic dark wooden Irish pub vibe, but the food is as authentic as you can get for being this side of the pond. The soup is very hearty and comes out piping hot, and the Shepherd's Pie is equally filling and delicious, with plenty of mashed potatoes coating the top of the pie. The service was relatively quick, but we were there for lunch, so it wasn't too busy. The Bangers and Mash also look really good and may be the next item I try. St. Patrick's Day, as you might imagine, gets crazy, so plan ahead for that. read more

My experience my review. You may be asking why is this older lady here, well it's my birthday and my grandkids wanted to take me somewhere Irish. Unfortunately I did not like that you have to pay 20 per person to go here. We could've just gone to Lucky Baldwin in Pasadena. But wanted to make the kids happy. Anywho, the green beer was okay. Nothing special only that it was green. The service was good. Everyone was very nice. The bartender took our order right away and our food came to us in a matter of 10-15 minutes. I ordered the fish and chips and they shared a Guinness shepherd's pie. It was nothing outstanding just average. The ambiance on Sunday afternoon into evening was on fire. So many young adults and some not so young but the place was, like my grandkids say "Banging". So many people singing and having a good time, that made my day!!!! read more

A group of us went here for St. Patrick's Day. It was advertised as a $10 cover to get in with drink specials. we got there at 7 pm. They charged $25 at the door. We paid and went downstair. They were out of ice, tap beer, truly, and mixes. we could only order shots and bottle beer. The worst part was they only had a few bartenders and it took over 30 min to get a drink. we had one drink and left. I would give this place 0 star if I had that option.Despite all of this they kept charging people at the door, I would've appreciated if they said they only had bottle beer and shots because I wouldn't have wasted money going in. Eddie and Valeria took good care of us and let us know about the game day menu once the game starts as well as the regular menu. They took care of the crowd like pros. I had a ton of fun here with my fiancé. We tried some of their beers and also the Mexican mule. For a pub, the Mexican mule was super tasty and refreshing. We had ordered some of their fries to tie us over, it was a great amount for 5$ and they were delicious! On to the fun now, they have every game you could thing of, from darts to pool. What a gem. I walk by year quite often. Today, the wifey and I made a visit. The ambiance here is perfect. We love our Irish pubs and this one is quality all around. This place has a lot of potential. It looks like the perfect party place. It's underground in the middle of the finance district. It has outdoor seating and beer pong tables inside there's a pool table, shuffle board, and a stage. We went on a Saturday night, we were in town for a concert. It was pretty empty inside, only one person sitting at the bar, couple of people outside and some playing pool. The bartender was nice and the drinks were ok. Their food menu is very small, mostly bar bites. I originally ordered their salad and they said that they stopped making it the day before... so I settled for their popcorn chicken that came with a sweet chili sauce. There was nothing special about them a little salty. I think this place would be great near the college and not business area. read more

I even googled and yelped Casey's to check on their hours for Saturday.
