The food is very good. I have rarely had a complaint about the cost or quality. I will say during busy hours it may be a while before you might get your food as the kitchen does get overwhelmed. We would like to see more gluten free options and the popcorn as an app I am not a fan of. Great place ! read more

I was a fan of Kelley's when they were in Dover. Since the move I have had mixed results. I feel like over time in the new location, the quality has declined, and is mediocre at best. Over the past year I have been in multiple times with the hopes that I could find a descent local spot for pub food. What I've experienced has been less that acceptable. I've had shrimp that tasted so strong of chlorine that I could smell it before the plate was on my table. I also ordered drinks from the bar that were completely void of alcohol. A martini needs 'a little' vodka in the glass, right? The final straw for me is the odd business model. The forced brunch menu on Sunday is limiting. Here's a thought to consider, not every person in the state wants to eat brunch all day on Sunday. (Not a Kelly's only problem though, it just seems every seacoast restaurant jumped on the 'Sunday Brunch or Die" bandwagon. ) I stopped in yesterday for lunch at 11:00, and was told that lunch didn't start until 11:30. I inquired about breakfast, but the hostess told me that breakfast stopped at 11:00. She offered to let us sit in the restaurant for 30 minutes until the kitchen was ready to cook again. How kind of her. Seriously, who shuts down service for 30 minutes? I've read other comments about the hostess situation at Kelley's. On more than one occasion, I've been met by a stern-faced woman who always seems put-out to have to pick up a couple of menus and show me to a table. I want to apologize if it's burdensome to ask to come into your business and give you money. I'll find someplace else to go in the future. I'm not wasting any more time or money at Kelley's. read more

This place was great when it was in Dover. It is horrible now. Bad service. Bad food. Not sure why it took such a horrible turn for the worse. Don't expect a quick anything-from waiting to sit even though many tables were empty to waiting to get a drink to waiting to get food that we went any good. Waste of time and money. read more

Three visits in a month says it all. Food is fantastic! Boom boom shrimp and the OMG sandwich are amazing. Homemade chips, fries and tots are oversalted but otherwise good! Staff is good. Friendliness hit or miss but the food makes up for it. read more

Much enjoyed our lunch at Kelley's Row today. The steak and cheese sub was flavorful and juicy. The tater tots were a little oily but still good (and a nice choice to run across). My friend really enjoyed her BLT baguette (great bread), and the onion rings were very good. Service was very good. It's a tad pricey, but we enjoyed the meal. read more

Whoever's making the Chicken Palermo they are doing a great job. For the second time in a week I have ordered pickup and the meal was super. Consistent, flavorful, and heated well. We've ordered 5 meals each time and all of us think our meals were great. The phone service for take out is easy and the personnel thorough and accurate with their order taking and pick up time. Hadn't had a chance to try this place since the move from Dover. We thought they've had a chance to settle in and would be a good time to see what they've done with what used to be Suzell's (back in the day). I settled on the Guiness Braised Short Ribs; the Mrs opted for the All American Burger. Took a while for our order to show up, so they kept us plied with popcorn (the place has a decidedly tavern-like atmosphere). The food was served hot and certainly looked good. I really hate to say this (and I'm hoping management will get it together) but Kelly's had majorly gone down hill in service. We attempted to eat there three times. First time the food was good, but the waitress was awful. We had to wave her down for drink refills, and she never came to check on us after we got our food. Our ketchup was empty and we never got any because we were ignored. They were pretty dead so I don't get it. Second time there was a wait of 15 mins for dinner. An hour later we were finally seated. Admittedly, after waiting so long we were starving and impatient. Our waitress took forever to get our drinks and brought some to the table next to us before us (we ordered first and got soda). Our food took an hour to come out as well and we had to flag the waitress down for drink refills. I will say it was busy and she had a lot of tables... But more than once after we flagged her down she forgot us and we had to ask again. We got there at 5:30 and with all the waiting left at 8:30. The last time we went we never got past the hostess. She ignored us when we walked in even though we were right in front of the podium. Another couple came in and she acknowledged them and took their name. We turned and walked out right there. I'm pretty patient but being completely ignored like that made me angry. If they don't want my business I'm happy to go else where. Again, I used to visit the old location a few times and month and loved it so I really hope they get their routine down. Maybe reading this review will help management fix the weak spots? The food is still awesome, so please fix the service. We want Kelly's back! read more

On a recommendation we went here and had a phenomenal lunch. The special was roasted pepper and Gouda soup with adult ham and cheese grilled sandwich with homemade chips. We have gone here twice over the last month. Both times we had really good experiences. During Wednesday and Thursdays, they have half off appetizers for early dinner. We took advantage of that on both occasions. Their onion rings with spicy dip are right on the money. I assume they are freshly made. They taste like what you would expect from a good seafood in the rough place. Lightly battered and yummy. Did I say I love onion rings??? We also tried "bang bang" shrimp which was breaded fried shrimp with another great sweet and spicy sauce. Niiiice!!!!! Fried clam plate was whole belly clams comparable, again to a good seafood place. The portion was adequate, though not huge. But Ipswich clams are not cheap. My fish and chips were just OK. The fish was bite size chunks and did not have much flavor. The breading was light and flavorful though. Between the two trips, we tried just about every appetizer. Not a bad one in the bunch. Service was really attentive without being overbearing. We are not drinkers but they did seem to have many great beer specials. I would put this near the top of my list when looking for a casual dinner in the area. read more

I know this is a staple of the area, but I just got around to trying them. Came here for after work drinks and appetizers with a large group. The service was very good. Drinks were quite good, and there were multiple reasonably priced alcohol selections. We ended up going through most of the appetizer menu. The Buffalo chicken was good, although not as spicy as I would have preferred. Great onion rings, good nachos, and their homemade chips are a nice selection. The sesame chicken tenders are a nice touch to include as well. That was my extent on the appetizers, but others spoke highly of the firecracker shrimp and the other options we went with. The french fries were fine, but nothing special. Decent sized place, and it was starting to get busy as we were wrapping up. There are plenty of menu options. Definitely worth a second trip for a normal meal. read more

So disappointed. Husband wanted prime rib they advertise it's ready at 5:30. After a 40 minute wait to get a table by 6:30 there was no more prime rib available! There were loads of tables open but apparently they couldn't handle them. The person who brought out our food nearly put it on my lap!!! Very rushed and totally unpleasant. Food was fine. read more

I stopped in there for a quick bite and ordered a sandwich with a side garden salad. The salad came out with shaved Parmesan (which was not indicated on the menu and unfortunately I am allergic to). I called the waitress over and apologized and said that I am unable to eat the salad with the cheese on it as I was allergic. She said that's ok and then proceeded to scoop the salad off of my plate with her bare hands into a bowl. When she was done she asked if I wanted a side plate for my sandwich that was on the SAME plate. I was honestly so shocked that I said, no please just bring the salad in a separate bowl, but after she left I wasn't even sure if I wanted to eat my sandwich. I have never ever had an experience where a waitress manhandles your food off of your plate. Not okay in my book and likely won't go back. read more

Just spent our 12th St Patrick's Day at Kelley's Row. We bring our entire family in (reservation for 42), and once again had a spectacular time. I hate to say it but we are not going to go to Kelly's again. We tried this past week after a few months away, hoping service, atmosphere etc. would improve - not so much. We were the only ones waiting at the hostess stand. The hostess was 20 feet away at a terminal and completely ignored us, walking by us twice. Luckily a waitress did say hi and another hostess/helper walked by and said someone would be with us soon. The hostess was now in the kitchen area taking her sweet time before addressing us and acting like we were a bother. The welcome was unacceptable. We were sat at a table in a high traffic area with high intensity lights, not a pleasant spot. It took quite a while for our server to greet us (probably due to the inadequacies of the hostess) but once she did she was great. The food and drink was mediocre, pile of pickles and lots of juice on every plate, sloppy construction of nachos, and a very poor Guinness pour. We were really hoping that after a couple of years at this location they would figure it out, but no, and we will not be back. read more

They Are Clearly NOT Biker Friendly !! My Wife and i rode our Harley there the other night, we had heard good things, it was a fairly nice fall evening and they have a back porch with outdoor seating, and we thought it would be nice to sit out there. When we walked in we stood for several minutes at the wait here to be seated sign and were just ignored, finally someone came over and rather rudely said "Two" not hello or good evening just "two" and that is when we asked to sit out on the porch, the girl took a look at some chart and said ok, but it'll be a 30 minute wait..........Well we just parked our bike near the porch and with well over 10 tables there were a total of 4 people at 1 table when we got there, and i pointed that out to this hostess, and she said well let me check with a manager, and she walked off, stopped and talked to someone for like 15 minutes, and then wandered into the kitchen and we waited another 10 minutes and nothing, and finally we just walked out and went somewhere else. I found their staff to be RUDE, and the place was clearly unorganized i would NOT Recommend it, and i would tell my Fellow Bikers to Avoid it, clearly they do not like our Money !! read more

I've always like the food at Kelley's Row, so now that they're serving breakfast I wanted to check it out. Apparently they offer breakfast but can't be bothered to staff their business at 10 AM on a Sunday. When we walked in, the waiting area was full and most of the tables were empty. We were told to expect a wait of 25 minutes. When we asked about all the empty tables, we were told that the wait is because no one would be available to serve us before 25 minutes, and that there were several large groups, so the food would take a while. We left and paid someone else to serve us breakfast in the time it would have taken to get seated at Kelley's. read more

It's a winner! Stopped in for the first time on a Friday night. The place was busy, but there's plenty of tables and enough waitresses to keep things moving. We tried the fish & chips and the fried clam dinners. Both were very good. Both dinners came with fries and cole slaw that were very good. Substituting onion rings for the fries was a dollar extra and not worth it. The rings have a thick batter on them that virtually overpowers any onion flavor or taste. Wine is a royal ripoff at $6 a glass. Waitress (Mariah) was cheerful, friendly and attentive. We'll be back to try the prime rib! read more

I have been here twice and loved it both times. Great food, love the outdoor patio they have! My boyfriend is a cook and rarely ever likes food when we go out, but he loves the food here. He got the reuben sandwich last time and said it is the best one he has ever had. I myself am not big on seafood usually, but got the scallops and they were excellent. I've been here twice in the last year. Originally went for breakfast which was very good but a little pricey. Second was for dinner a few weeks ago. It was a busy Sat. night but we were sat right away. The waitress was very friendly and prompt. The only disappointing part was my date's steak (admittedly ordered w/d) came out completely charred. It looked silly on the plate, was this teeny tiny little thing. He doesn't have trouble with w/d at other places, so this was extreme. I've been to Kelley's Row many times. I never had a bad meal. I never had an exceptional meal either. It has always been okay. The staff is always very good. This weekend for breakfast we had a waitress we had never seen. I wish I remembered her name. She was exceptional. Quick, friendly, knowledgeable, just great. The food on the other hand was just horrible. The coffee is like brown water. I'm not a coffee snob at all, and I couldn't drink it. The Irish scramble had a few small pieces of beef, and lots of sausage. I don't remember sausage in the description, and the taste was overwhelming. I picked out the few pieces of beef, and ate the toast. The potatoes were just plain potatoes, nothing special. Some people like plain potatoes, so I guess that's okay. Aside from a few bites and the toast, my plate wasn't touched. The waitress was concerned, and I explained my issues with the meal. She wanted to get it removed from the bill, but could only get $2 knocked off. I couldn't believe it. Anyway, kudos to the waitress for trying. I assume the manager felt they had enough business that they didn't have to make it right. Who needs happy customers anyway? read more
