Chicken fried steak whole order.
Kerry F.

Great fast and friendly service. (I believe server was named Sierra). Food was fantastic and came quickly. Best chicken fried steak I've ever had and I've had many. Perfectly crispy hash browns and yummy biscuit. The "whole" chicken fried steak is two pieces so go for the half unless you are sharing or wanting leftovers.

Orders breakfast to go while heading to a youth sporting event. Served raw eggs in a minced ham scramble. Basically cooked one side then flipped the uncooked side over a bed of unseasoned hash-browns. Ended up eating part of my husband bland chicken fried steak that was paired with overcooked eggs.

The clam chowder came in a giant bowl and was really good! The sample of Vegetable Beef stew was amazing!!

Sometimes in our travels we find a place we wish we could go to over and over again. Kelley's is one of those places! Service, food, prices and vibe were all over the top amazing! Please don't let the outside fool you, the inside is where all the magic is! From the very beginning it was obvious they are true and authentic! The lone server was busy with other customers so we were greeted by the cook! He was so friendly and inviting, told us to grab a seat and they'd bring us waters, menus were at the table. Giant menus!! Our server came in and was just as friendly and inviting as the cook! We felt at home right away, like we'd been there 100 times! Food was fantastic! I had the seafood platter and it was piled high with vein clogging goodness! The shrimp was the best part, these cute little crunchy, puffy morsels of heaven!! Hubby's chicken fried steak was humongous and he said it was the best he's ever had! We got strawberry shortcake to go and it was perfect later, sitting around the camp fire! I highly recommend Kelley's and know for a fact we'll be back! Hard to find a diner like this anymore!

I don't think they should legally be allowed to call this food. This is made worse by the fact that there are several cafes nearby that serve actual meals.

We were bringing a special breakfast to family in the area & called an order in when we reached the outskirts of Olympia. It was ready shortly after we pulled up - having to wait only an additional 5 mins. The food was well packaged in to go containers. We had a great conversation with the cook (whose also one of the owners) since it was still early but the waitress pulled up to take my payment. We drive to our destination and had a wonderful filling breakfast. The portions were gigantic, the garbage omelet was flavorful, the gravy of the SOS was spot on. Would highly recommend ordering from this cafe.

Not fancy but food was great. We were flew in from California and on the way back from a wedding in Mt Rainer we stopped in for breakfast. Service was nice and quick. The breakfast was delicious and portions huge. Contrary to what we read in other reviews there was nothing that made us feel uncomfortable or unwelcome.

Grew up going here every weekend with my grandma Fran and grandpa Walt. I've been here twice since grandma passed away and it's still just as amazing as I remember growing up. Food portions are huge and taste amazing. Best chicken fried steak in Washington even though I admit my favorite thing to get has always been the chicken strip basket with old fashioned fries and the hot chocolate! I will continue to come back and now that my sons old enough he will eat here too. The staff treat you like family and greet you by name. Times are rough but it's worth saving every penny for! This is my happy spot that I go too when I need to feel close to my grandparents, and I want to make it my sons safe and happy spot too.

Don't eat here. Makes you sick. Got simple breakfast. Greasy and not a home cooked family restaurant meal. MAGA as well.

Just came by today for my birthday while family was in town. We all loved the overall charm of the…read moregrounds (there's a garden, playground, greenhouse, cafe, and venue here too). There's ample parking that's paved or across the street on gravel. The food looked amazing in photos, but I wouldn't say it was as good as it looked or sounded in descriptions. It was generally very tasty, but everything felt like it was missing just one ingredient that would make it better. It could be that I'm just more used to ethnic flavors and these were just not quite hitting the mark. For example the stratciatella was good, but if the whipped ricotta was a little more fluffy and there was some extra black pepper or lemon added it would have been perfect. The pork belly was a little dry and not worth the price for just three pieces. The thick cut truffle fries were very good however. We also tried the bucatini and it was nice but still I wanted a little more kick. It has spice but just needs a little something to punch it up. The steak sandwich two of the three of us sharing a meal loved and I'd say was the best thing we ate. The service staff was kind, considerate and gave us time and made sure our drinks were filled. There are still a lot of dishes I'd like to try and since I loved the area, it would be worth coming back again.

We joined the online waitlist at 1:00 PM on a Sunday. While we were seated fairly quickly, we still had to wait in a long line just to speak with the host to check in. The restaurant was completely packed well past 2:00 PM. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill once we sat down. It took forever just to place our order. Our chowder arrived about 10 minutes later, but it tasted like it came straight out of a can, and the accompanying dinner roll was completely flavorless and factory-made. Since we were hungry, we ate it quickly anyway. It took 45 minutes for our entrees--a Country Fried Steak and a California Benedict--to arrive. By 3:00 PM, we were famished, which made it all the more disappointing to discover our food was cold, soggy, and hard. The cubed fries, scrambled eggs, and English muffin tasted like they had been sitting on a counter for 20 minutes before being brought to our table. For a restaurant advertising a "farm-to-table" concept, the eggs, salad, croutons, and muffin felt entirely mass-produced. The service was equally disappointing; our server never returned to refill our water. While the atmosphere is nice and the space is large enough to fit over 100 people, they seemed severely understaffed. The host stand was backed up, it took too long to order, and the kitchen was clearly overwhelmed. For $23 a plate, I expect significantly better quality in both the food and the service.

Without a doubt this is one of Tacoma's best dining experiences. Chef Shawn's team is small but mighty. The staff that we encountered were all super kind and attentive. It's widely known that Chef Shawn has a radiant personality and treats everybody in his restaurant like a longtime friend. He walked around chatting with everybody personally, showed off dishes as he walked through the restaurant, and was even happy to let diners take a peek at his kitchen (how does he make all this magic happen on TWO CAMP STOVES?!) The menu isn't massive, but everything on the menu is executed with precision and grace. I had a hard time deciding what I wanted but I've had my eyes on the Lobster Bomb for years. My husband got the "Tiny Burrito" which is quite literally the size of a newborn. The Lobster Bomb was excellent. Generous chunks of succulent lobster and the hollandaise was perfect! Subtle on the lemon flavor as to not overpower, but still rich and creamy. I tried my husband's burrito and the chorizo gravy is stellar. You could easily share this with 1-2 other people in my opinion. It lasted my husband two leftover meals! The restaurant itself is small but it's cozy and feels like you're at home. No frills, nothing over the top, nothing trendy. Just a relaxed vibe with lots of authentic touches from Chef Shawn. While this was our first visit it definitely won't be our last. Don't make the mistake I did and let years pass by before you experience Tibbitts!

Well, I've had the club sandwich which she said was very good and I'll tell you what happened from the looks of it it was definitely good. I had the pastrami Benedict, I will say that that missed the mark. There are two reasons that really miss the mark. One of them was the hollandaise sauce, which was extremely runny and a very pale yellow, which told me that they added too much liquid to it, and there wasn't enough fat or it was just a powdered mix and they over mixed it, and it had no flavor to it. The main reason I was disappointed was the pastrami they used, they used deli, sliced pastrami and chopped it up. If you're going to have a pastrami Benedict on your menu, make sure it's actual pastrami chunks and it is tender. The deli pastrami did not have any flavor to it. I asked our server about it and she said that one of the other girls that worked there really liked it and she ate it all the time, but it was too spicy for her. I will tell you right now. There was literally no spice to that dish at all nor was there seasoning. I would go back and try something different as everything else on the menu looks good and I give every breakfast restaurant at least two tries.

Walking into the establishment it was well lit and the decor was simple but efficient. I was seated promptly and the menu and a glass of water so their after. It was a two sided menu, with a good variety for breakfast and lunch items too. I ordered breakfast. The service was consistent as my server did check on me and asked if I had any questions about the menu. I asked one and they were very polite explaining it. After my order showed up, I proceeded to eat it all. The combination of the eggs, tomatoes, bacon and cheese was equally satisfying and balanced. It was topped with Avocado slices ( slightly brown, but still good). The sourdough toast appeared to be from a freshly made loaf ( served with soft butter and raspberry jam) and the hash browns were cooked lightly. Overall this place will do well in this part of town. Yes, I would return again. Good service, good selection and great prices too!!

Our second visit was even better, especially sitting by the window with stunning views. Once again, the service was excellent, and the food was truly tasty. I had another Bloody Mary (Cooper & Salt Bloody) and spaghetti pomodoro. I can't quite recall what my husband ordered, but I remember sharing a delightful Tiramisu for dessert. By the third time, we came with the family to enjoy dessert after lunch. Most recently, during our fourth visit with friends, we found that the service and menu remained consistently enjoyable. All in all, this is a fantastic place to dine, with beautiful outdoor views--even on rainy days. My one curiosity is whether the menu changes? Although every visit has been wonderful, seeing some new dishes would make the experience even more special!
