Initially I called RS Andrews for coming out and looking at my AC system that was blowing hot air. In short, they said I had a leak at my coil inside the air handling unit. They wanted to charge me $3,400 to replace it. Called around and found this company by referral and was told to talk with Jessica. She was very friendly and got us a technician out fast. Tim arrived on time as he said he would and noticed problems right away that RS Andrews did not. He pointed out the fan motor was spinning in the wrong direction and made a fix but found the motor had seized. When he took a look upstairs he found no leaks at the air handler. He immediately went to work on replacing the fan motor and charged the system with refrigerant. He wasn't quite satisfied with some of the parameters on the lines so he offered to come do a courtesy check in a week and see how things were going free of charge. Tim and Jessica were phenomenal in providing outstanding customer service and deserve praise! He saved me at least 2 thousand dollars through his thorough troubleshooting and diligence. I can't say enough about his service and knowledge of home AC systems. I will be giving any and all future business to this company and specifically Tim as a technician! read more

If I could give no stars I would, they used to be a great company about 2 years ago, felt like they really cared about their customers and they were willing to help in any way, and they have gone down hill ever since!! The manager George is rude and snotty, the owners just don't seem to care anymore and the service techs except for Morgan B and John H are worthless. Had Joe come out to my home and he looked like a hot mess hobo and after 15 mins he immediately tried to sell me something instead of telling me what was wrong with my unit and if it could be fixed, and then said it should be working and had to have them them come out 2 more times to even fix the problem. Get more Service techs who know what they are actually doing instead of someone trying to force me into a sale and are incompetent. They are just as bad as One Hour or Michael and Sons who are shady and only trying to get into your wallet! I will not be saying " Tell em Kellam" ever again to my friends and family, I'll be telling them to run as fast as you can to a reputable company that gives a damn about it's customers!!! I have been using Kellam since I got a new heat/ac unit installed 6 1/2 years ago. The reason i am writing a review now is because in the past week. Kellam and their techs have been out at my house 4 times. My unit that they originally installed starting having major issues (a unit problem not Kellam). In these 4 visits. The two techs, LT and Chris were amazing. Helpful, courteous, professional, and caring. I can't tell you how important it is especially when everyone is trying to figure out why I don't have heat with a 5 year old with a cold. Kellam and their techs have tried to address the problems, work around my schedule, and keep checking on me and my daughter to ensure everything is going well. Kellam is really a class act and they hire quality people. Even though my unit is having issues is does not take away the fact that LT, Chris, and Kellam are five stars. Thank you to all and I will ensure to recommend Kellam to others read more

Fantastic Company. Would recommend everytime. I recently used Kellam for HVAC service and couldn't be more pleased with the experience. The technicians were outstanding from the moment they arrived. They were professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and took the time to clearly explain what they found and what needed to be done. What impressed me most was their attention to detail and commitment to doing the job right. They worked efficiently, treated my home with respect, and made sure everything was functioning properly before they left. It's obvious they take pride in their work and genuinely care about their customers. Quality service can be hard to find these days, but the team at Kellam exceeded my expectations. A special thank you to the technicians for their excellent workmanship and customer service. I highly recommend Kellam to anyone looking for honest, reliable HVAC professionals. A five-star experience all around! read more

I had the pleasure of having Morgan Bayse from Kellam Mechanical come out to inspect my geothermal HVAC system, and I couldn't be more impressed! Morgan was extremely thorough in his inspection, taking the time to explain everything to me in detail and even showing me pictures of what was going on with the system. It was clear that he genuinely cares about doing the job right and making sure I fully understood the condition of my system. He also gave me excellent recommendations on how to keep the air quality in my home clean and healthy for my family, which I really appreciated. As a bonus, he even brought a dog toy for my fur baby, which was such a thoughtful touch! Morgan's professionalism, knowledge, and kindness truly stood out. I highly recommend him and Kellam Mechanical for anyone looking for reliable, top-notch HVAC service. Thanks again, Morgan! read more

We were pleased with our new unit from Kellam! I wanted to wait to post after it had been a few months so I could speak from a little more experience. We got our new unit installed about 4 months ago. The technician who sold us the unit was knowledgeable, quick, friendly and not pushy at all (wish I could say the same for other companies that quoted us). Their quote was lower than everyone's and we got the best feel from the company. There was a mistake putting it in, but once they were notified they came out immediately and fixed the issue. They were apologetic, extended our warranty and checked in on us several times after that. I wasn't happy that it wasn't installed properly but my faith was restored after I saw how they handled their mistake. I am glad we went with Kellam and we recommend them to friends and family looking for new units or service. read more

We have been using Kellam Mechanical since 2010. Yesterday, Bernard came to perform our six month maintenance and out of all the servicemen we have had over the years, he is by far the best! Bernard is very friendly and was comfortable dealing with my crazy friendly lab and my skittish Heinz 57. They warmed up quickly to him! He was meticulous about using his doormat and foot protectors to keep dirt out of my home. Bernard was very thorough and and respectful of our property. He had to use a hose from the front of the house on the units at the back of the house and he made sure to reconnect and return the hose to its original place very neatly. Thanks Kellam Mechanical for another year of outstanding service and thank you Bernard, hope to see you again in Pungo! ~ The Hoggard Family read more

Absolutely the best!!! Please don't review this business if you received a freebie for writing this review, or if you're connected in any way to the owner or employees. read more

Great service from Kellem Mechanical. It's my first time using them and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. Kellem responded to my call within 2 hours and took care of my water heater problem right away. Their technician was extremely knowledgable and friendly and answered all of my questions. I signed up on the spot for a maintenance contract with these outstanding professionals. The office staff was very responsive and wonderful as the other post indicates. I hate using names in a public forum, but a special thank you to Josh and Adam for taking care of my emergency. If you're looking for true professionals and great customer service look no further. read more

I can't believe we never used this company before. We had previously used Michael And Sons, and it seems like every time they came, they found something else we needed, only to find out we didn't need it. Chris from Kellam was the most professional and informative tech we've ever had out here. He looked to save us money, while doing quality work. This is why we should have shopped local. He fix what was wrong, and our air is running better than before. If you are looking for a company to work on your system, I highly recommend you stay local and give them a call. Appointment was easy, they were on time, and the price was very fair. read more

As an owner of rental properties in the Virginia Beach area I have worked with several HVAC companies in the area and this is one of the few very positive experiences. Kellam was able to respond to a short-notice request to have a technician come out after a separate company would not come back out and fix what they were paid to fix just days prior. Kellam saved the day, took care of the problem promptly and provided detailed explanation of costs during each step. Everything is working great and my first go-to next time I need a professional HVAC company. Thanks Kellam. read more

We have been waiting for a part for our A/C unit that has NOT been working since at least last Saturday (7/6). Technician came out Tuesday and said it was a leak in the coil (the unit is 3 1/2 years old!) and it would be overnighted. We talked to them Friday (7/12) and they told us they had a tracking number!! As of today Monday (7/15) they have NO clue where the part is. We have been loyal Kellam customers for 17 years!! We would like some kind of phone number where we can talk to someone who might know what can be done about this situation!!! read more

Recently we were in need of a check up for our furnace and to the rescue was Kellam Mechanical. DJ was on time , quick to do his job and informative on some updates to our system that will save me money and keep our house warm this winter. The parts were in the next day and were installed that same day. We appreciate the professional way everything was done. Thanks Kellam Mechanical .... we will be sure to call you in the spring for the air conditioner...... that is if we don't take up the offer for the maintenance agreement. Thanks DJ read more

While I am personally new with Kellam Mechanical, I was referred by other family who spoke highly of them. Let me just say that my AC went out and Scott came right over to give me estimates to replace my old system. There was no waiting involved and Scott definitely knows his business and was very straight up with me and explained all. Prices were great too for quality merchandise. Then to top it off, they squeezed the install in for me on Saturday since it temps were going into the 90's. Time to Chill now!!! read more

We had the pilot light on our gas water heater go out last night. I tried to get it back on, but it wouldn't light. We called Kellam and told the lady who we talked to what the problem was, and we were told that a technician would be here in the morning. The technician was here around 3:00 PM, no fault of his. Ben Roberts did a great job and was able to have the light on pretty quickly. He explained what he had done, there was another button to reset under a cover I did not remove. I give him 5 stars. read more

Joe B did our routine service on our AC and he was AWESOME! Very professional and polite. I had a few questions and he answered them clearly...no technical "mum bow jum bow" I wouldn't be able to understand. :) He also gave suggestions on things for our AC unit that would help us save some money in the long run. He did an awesome job. As for the company, I have not been disappointed on any of their visits. Very knowledgeable and courteous. Definitely would recommend to family and friends!! read more

I have used Kellam Mechanical since moving to my condo several years ago. The second serviceman to check the unit was Jerry Wagner, and I have requested him each time ever since. Jerry is easy to communicate with--he tells me exactly what he is doing and what, if anything, is needed. I always find him to be polite, efficient and prompt. I'd trust him in my home doing the work even I weren't here, and that says a lot nowadays. Don't let this guy go, Kellam. He's an asset to your company. read more

I stopped the service for a year or two because of cost, but recently used their service again. I ALWAYS ask for Morgan because he is so professional, knowledgeable, and FUN. I can tell he loves his job. Even if I have to wait a little longer for an appt. (due to his popularity), I do so. Kellam Mechanical in general is an excellent business. I have them do my twice-a-year maintenance and they keep everything working without a problem. I highly recommend them--especially Morgan!!! read more

Morgan Bayse came out to service my 22+ year old AC unit. He was very professional and gave me all of the available options to either fix or replace my unit. As this unit was so old I decided to have the whole system replaced. Morgan gave me detailed information on the new system and then I chose the one that I wanted. I was very impressed as they had the new system installed two days later! They installed everything and were there when they said they would be. Highly recommend! read more
