Not gonna lie This was one of quickest and most pleasant home service calls I've ever had. My AC went down on Saturday. I called Pride Mechanical on Sunday and left a message on their non emergency voicemail. They called me first thing Monday morning, and we set up an appointment for a timeframe that worked with my fairly busy schedule for that day. Really convenient. Got a text saying they were on their way about 5 minutes after the 3 hour appointment window started. They were at my home in like 20 minutes after receiving the text. The inside of my house was kind of messy, but they didn't even need to come inside. They were able to go straight to my units and start their diagnostics less than 3 minutes after arriving at my home. Within about 15 minutes they had successfully figured out and fixed the problem. I could not have asked for a better experience. I was very grateful and impressed. The technicians were polite, friendly (and not aggressively friendly if you know what I mean), and did a great job discussing my HVAC system and answering my questions without getting overly technical or insulting my intelligence by being overly basic. I chose this business based on their Yelp reviews, which are almost improbably high. I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best, and I have to say, those reviews were 100% earned. I have an aged a/c that is limping along. Not once did anyone jump to selling me a new one. They determined I had radically low Freon (for which they undercharged me based on an estimate that had been a tad low.) They used a leak kit (something involving dye that glows under a black light?) to help identify the leak in future if that should turn out to have been the problem. It indeed was the problem. When I called a few weeks later to report that my a/c wasn't doing much cooling, I was put on the schedule for two days later (there was rain or it would've been the next day.) The leak was identified thanks to their foresight, repaired, and for that service I was charged a grand total of just over $80. I would recommend this business to anyone. Our AC cut out yesterday and we were able to get on the schedule today for a diagnostic and hopefully repair. When scheduling over the phone Ms Debbie was sure to remind me of all the tips to stay as cool as possible in the home. Today, we were lucky to have Steve arrive early in our service time window. He found the issue and was able to repair it. He sat in our scorching attic for the longest time at the hottest time of the day to ensure that the issue was resolved! Exceptional customer service. I have a dual AC system. The downstairs system stopped working on Friday. I called and they came out the next day. The technician Isom was very friendly and knowledgeable. He attempted every avenue to try and save the unit but unfortunately it had to be replaced. Which is okay since it was over 11 years old anyways and was on its last leg. He was able to quickly get the parts and come back out within three days to install a complete new system including a new thermostat. The price was fair and he gave me a military discount. I can't say enough about Travis and his coworker's job today at my home!!! I have been tossed back and forth between my warranty company and the technicians who have serviced my home through the warranty company for the last year and a half. (Said company shall remain nameless on Yelp, but God knows!!!) I have been without proper AC and cold air for almost 2 years. Anyway, Travis came out and was very concerned, helpful, and knowledgeable from the jump. He didn't try to scam me and quoted me MUCH lower than any of the competition out there. THERE IS A REASON THEY HAVE 5 STARS, and they deserve every single one of them!!! Long story short, my AC is WORKING and not just a single floor like before...BOTH FLOORS are now COOL!!! Very pleased with the service we received from Pride and our technician, Stephen. Great communication leading up to the visit, professional, respectful, personable, friendly and efficient! I have high standards, and it was a pleasure to finally get a business that hit all the marks. Stephen diagnosed the problem quickly and replaced the part. He noticed our outside unit had a lot of debris in it and took the extra step to clean it out with our garden hose, which happened to be out from watering the garden. This company is fantastic!! From the first phone call with their customer service, scheduling and a technician showing up. I was having some leakage and a technician came out within the hour. He serviced and fixed the drainage pipes on the unit and the charge was VERY minimal. The tech was polite, well spoken and explained in detail what needed to be done and took care of it. I have been through a plethora of A/C and Heating companies recommended and it's the scariest thing when you have to call one you absolutely know nothing about except for the reviews from your neighbors on Next Door and Yelp. I had two issues, first at my personal residence the air handler was leaking. I had it off for 3 weeks, too traumatized to call anyone. Isom came in, got right to it and diagnosed a clogged, cleared it, sealed everything and replace the filter. I just knew I was going to be hit over the head, but the price was fair. Now, my other issue was at a rental I own. I needed to know was it worth repairing it or should I have it replaced. I had to pay for the assessment but it'll go towards the cost of the new unit. I thought the price was fair but I'll be getting two other quotes to compare. The estimate is good for 30 days. Not a bad experience. I just completed an excellent experience with Pride Mechanical. In short, they replaced the "zone board" in my attic for MUCH less than the estimate of a competitor. Jeremy was great. He not only got me an immediate (reasonable) estimate, but best of all he was able to bypass the board until the new one came in after a few days, to provide AC for us (single zone operation) after it had been down for weeks (due to problems with a home warranty company and the aforementioned competition). The lady I spoke to when I initially called (Debbie?) was very helpful, and even made sure we received a $20.00 discount, for hearing about them on Yelp. I am posting my review way past my service call (sorry!!) but I had to give this company some props! I am in the real estate industry and have referred this company to many of my colleagues in the past and will continue to do so. They have helped many friends repair their units and did a total replacement for my sister and her family at a very reasonable price. It came time for myself to need their help! My heat worked fine, but when warm late-Spring temps rolled around, my AC wouldn't kick on, despite the unit outside engaging. Nancy gave me a time and they were on time! Travis and Eli were awesome! They worked together well, helping each other out. Travis even had to call his dad for further troubleshooting ideas and they found the problem! Come to find out, my thermostat had been replaced before Spring (by my ex-hubby) and was not properly wired. *They did say it was an honest mistake, because the wire colors were not easy to differentiate, so I couldn't be too hard on him haha!! They rerouted the wires and kaboom, cold air was blowing!! They could have easily taken advantage of me, which, I am always worried about, since I am a single woman, trying to make it in the world! They kept us fully informed found three problems that we had no idea were the issues other service companies missed. My husband is an electrician and was right there with them and learned so much! They were able to fix all immediately on a VERY OLD system ! Special Note:(they even replaced missing screws on covers and turned a fan around that had been replaced backwards! Amazing Same Day Service! We have been blown away with the kindness & service from Pride Mechanical! We called Wednesday afternoon to request a service for our HVAC. We were originally told that our technician would arrive between 3-5pm but around 1:45 Travis called and said he was able to come to our home earlier if that worked for our schedule and he was here by 2pm. Travis was genuinely happy when he arrived and was eager to address our concerns. He found multiple problems and not only explained what was causing our malfunctions, but took the time to correct the previous workers mistakes. We are very grateful to say that we have finally found an HVAC service company who we will continue to call and work with when we have future needs. Travis also gave us some tips about how to regulate distribution to make both our 1st & 2nd floors the same temperature since we technically only have one 'Zone.'
