Really enjoyed walking through this gallery. It was fun to find a place that had work from local artists. Bought a couple of fun items, including jewelry. read more

I always wondered about this shop. Finally got to see what they have. Greeted when entered. It's a large spacious shop with assorted glass items. Very clean. What really caught my interest was those glass fish "figurines". About 12 inches in length and very beautiful. Didn't have my phone with me so didn't take any photos. That item was like 270 bucks. I would pay about 100 but it's to expensive for my taste. Lots of glass jewelry. Very pretty but I assume the metal parts would eventually tarnish. read more

Lela's glass gallery is located in Kauai, Hawaii, 1.5 miles from Kapaa Safeway on highway 56 (Kuhio Highway). This gem glass gallery is not to be missed. They have lovely glass sculptures, vases, bowls, platters and beautiful glass and semi precious jewelry. We always make sure to stop by on our way to Princeville. I usually find some jewelry to buy. This time was no different. I bought a beautiful pair of semi precious earrings. My only criticism is they could not tell me what stones were in the earrings I bought which seemed strange to me. read more

We absolutely LOVE this place and stop in every time we are on the island. I have bought so much jewelry over the years from here as they have some very unique pieces you will not find anywhere else. We love the color changing glass jewelry and my husband has even ordered from here on line for Christmas presents to get me the matching necklace and bracelet. A few years ago I purchased a ring that was glass and looks like an opal. I received so many compliments on this as it practically glows. After years of wearing this nonstop it was finally getting so worn I had to get a replacement. Mimi was wonderful and was able to make one to custom fit in just a matter of a couple of days. All the glass pieces are just amazing in this shop you have to check this place out! read more

What I love about Kela's is the variety of beautiful options throughout the store. If you are looking for a timeless work of art, they have options. If you are looking for some classic jewelry, they have options. And if you are looking for affordable gifts to take home, they have options. They take the care to package everything securely so that the items make it home safely. This is a must-stop visit every time we come to Kauai. read more

I rarely write reviews, but I cannot refrain from doing it now. We were on vacation in Hawaii, and my husband bought me lovely earrings and a pendant from Kela's Glass Gallery. I was overjoyed. When we returned home, I wore my new set to a party. In the evening, upon returning home, I noticed that the pendant was missing from the chain. To say that I was very upset would be an understatement, as it was a gift from my beloved husband, and besides, who knows when we'll be able to go to Hawaii again? I decided to write to the store, but I didn't believe they would respond so quickly. Kris replied the same day and said he would send me a new pendant soon. And just as promised, he sent it very quickly, and now my new pendant brings me joy. I want to express my immense gratitude for such excellent service. I will definitely recommend this store to all my friends, and the next time we find ourselves in Hawaii, I'll make sure to stop by to buy something new." read more

Such a cute shop on the Kapaa strip. I got a pair of cute earrings I adore and will be back to look at some glass art to collect!

I was in Hawaii a few weeks ago and visited this business. Truly amazing works of art in the store. Fell in love with a sand art photo and purchased it. They packaged it up and I had it shipped through Kella's. It arrived about a week later damaged pretty badly. I contacted them and the next day they called me back and assured me that it was covered under insurance and had another one shipped immediately. When it arrived it was in perfect condition and order in the world has been restored. read more

everything as a 50 year resident of Kauai I absolutely adore going in there spending lots of money and coming out happy

Love this place, beautiful glass art and jewelry. I bought 4 pieces of jewelry today and bought one a couple of years ago. I tried so many pieces today and had my friends on FaceTime too so she could pick something up as well. A very friendly woman helped me today as I was going around the store trying things on by the window so we could see how the jewelry was changing colors. These pieces go for about $50/$69 for the earrings and between $80 to $180 for the necklaces. The chains are sterling silver. read more

Kela's Glass Gallery is located on the main Kapaa shopping street and features really really nice art. A couple of pieces caught my eye and were priced accordingly. That meant that I'd either have to tell Gayle a really good "we really need this" story or hide the purchase somehow. Since, neither was an option on this trip, all I could do is visit the place several times, admire this gallery, and sigh..... read more

I feel like such a cheeseball saying so, but we found this place after seeing them advertised in the Hawaiian Airlines magazine. I'm a huge fan of glass art, and this place was like a candy store! Over 150 glass artists represented- and the owners are so friendly and helpful- without being pushy. Thought I was just going to browse and ogle, but ended up walking away with a beautiful dichroic glass necklace. There are pieces at any price point from $20 to $5,000. A great place to get a unique souvenir of your trip to Kauai. Would have spent more time here had I not been on my way to the airport but I could easily see spending an hour or two just looking at all the beautiful pieces they have on display. read more

A few beautiful works of glass, but mostly an ultra-expensive "art" boutique. A few smaller pieces were nice, but the majority of the shop resembles an art exhibition more than a business. The prices were absolutely insane for the moderate level of detail and craftsmanship put into each piece. SOLD signs are placed on pieces that are supposedly sold. Visited the place twice (almost a full week apart) and saw the same pieces on display in the same spots with the SOLD signs moved around. I'm not sure if their stock was simply replenished (which would indicate that the pieces were commercially manufactured rather than the suggested artist-created). It seemed too coincidental and more like a sales tactic to suggest demand for the pieces. Service is as expected for the price level - wear a Rolex and you'll get great service, but they ignored most of the people who walk in other than the cursory hello. read more

Beautiful art glass, functional glass and jewelry from more than 100 different glass artists. It is kind of nice to go into a store in Kauai that scream "you are in Kauai" for a change. The prices are commensurate for being In a tourist area. Some of the larger art glass pieces run in the neighbourhood of $5k but most are a lot more affordable. I particularly enjoyed their dichroic glass jewelry, some of which is glow-in-the-dark. I guess that is the kind of jewelry you wear when you dine at restaurants like this http://www.yelp.ca/biz/dark-table-vancouver#query:dark%20dining ? A lot of their display space was filled with Pandora jewelry, that cultish charm bracelet manufacturer, which didn't really fit in with the theme of the store. read more

I love shopping at this place. Whenever I go to Kauai, I have to go to this store. I am now on their mailing list. I am very happy that I am on their mailing list, it gives me more choices for Christmas presents. I did purchase some beautiful jewelry for someone on my list. I wish I could show you a picture, but this someone will read this and see the present and that I cannot have. Their website is beautiful with all of their glass art. If you have never been there, you really should check this store out. Some of the items can get quite pricey, but some of the items are very affordable. I am happy with the Christmas present I bought. Thank you for the prompt delivery and the kamaina discount. read more

Pretty nice glass shop crammed in next to shave ice and t-shirt shops. Kind of a strange juxtaposition. They get pretty busy, so be patient. We got a beautiful perfume bottle. They packed it quite securely so I didn't worry about it surviving the trip home. read more

We always visit this store whenever we're on Kauai. It started out small in 1994 and every time we go there are new glass artists whose works are being exhibited. The quality is excellent and the prices range from surprisingly reasonable to OMIGOD-that's-gorgeous-too-bad-I-can't-afford-it!! I've bought a few pieces over the years but mostly I just admire and treat it like the gallery it is. read more

Many years ago I purchased from their website, GLASS-ART.com, and today I bought another beautiful piece from their website. The website does a terrific job illustrating all of their items in glorious, vivid colors and with the most wonderful close-up detail. As I wanted to know more about the item I was interested in prior to buying it, I phoned the store before business hours and left my call back number. The very knowledgeable and delightful Rashell quite promptly returned my call. She so politely and patiently answered my numerous questions regarding measurements, color tones & shading, texture and more. When you are dealing with individually hand-crafted art glass pieces there can be several degrees of color and pattern variations for the same item. Rashell's assistance was invaluable to my final selection. It's so nice to be able to call a store and have someone personally and carefully inspect, hand pick and send a particular item to you. Can't wait to receive and display it. I know I'll love it. Thank you Rashell. read more

My husband bought me one of your earring sets and necklace two years ago for honeymoon I wear them all the time and I get so many compliments. The reason I'm doing this post is last night after two years of enjoying them I was working at a concert I live in Bay Area California. I got so many complements and many people asking me where can I get those airings I just felt like I should give you some proper acknowledgment of how much joy your earrings and your necklace has brought me. I am very hard on Jewlery I'm terrible about making sure that I remove it before I go to sleep and your stuff is so sturdy and has held up beautifully thank you I can't wait to get back and get more. read more

Kela's is a beautiful gallery in Kapaa that is a great little town I recommend checking out. There is a variety of artists from all over the world that have their glass in this location. Well, I just saved $700. The woman working this store was so rude to me that I walked out without the perfect piece for my home. It went sideways when I asked who the artist was because I had seen similar but noticeably different wave sculptures around the island. She said she wouldn't tell me the artist's name unless I bought the piece. As I write this I still can't believe it. She literally said it's their policy to not tell customers who the artist is until their work is purchased. We went around and around a few times and she was more combative and secretive each time. I thought perhaps I was Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman and even said "do you think I can't buy this or something??", which not to be a brat but my jewelry clearly states this is very affordable. I was in further shock when after asking that, she still had an attitude. Made me think I had touched a button. Are they selling knock-offs for the same price as more well-known artists? Whatever is going on there, it was an awful experience and I'd discourage anyone from trusting them. Something was very very off! read more

I bought Color Changing Earrings two years ago at Kela's. I have never received so many positive comments from people, including total strangers. It is so unique and beautiful. It changes to complementary colors and glows depending on the direction and the background. So, I was determined to buy a complete set for myself and my daughters when I returned to Kauai this past July. Then, I learned that they are made by the owner of Kela's, Mimi. She is such a sweet lady. She was nice enough to make a custom necklace with colors of my choice with an extended chain to fit my neck. She did it for me overnight with no extra charges as we needed to leave Kauai the next day. Thank you, Mimi!! We will come back to your gallery for sure on our next trip to Kauai. read more
