I have used Keith's in the past because they are a preferred vendor for AAA. Meaning if you call for roadside assistance using your AAA card you will automatically get connected to Keith's Towing. I think it really depends on the driver you get I've had good experiences and bad, today was not so good. Be warned if you have a dead battery and if you call and use your AAA insurance for roadside assistance and its after 5:00 they are going to leave you on the side of the road. If you have a battery problem and it's after 5 o'clock then it becomes your problem, by yourself, with no help whatsoever regardless of how much you pay a year to have AAA insurance for peace of mind. So much for 24-hour assistance. After I made a request for the battery service I received a call from Keith's who said "sorry our battery department is closed." That's very comforting when your a female and you need your car started and you're relying on your 24 hour roadside service to assist you. I called AAA back and advised of my dissatisfaction they informed me that they were aware of the battery service shutting down at 5 o'clock and they would offer a tow. So word of caution if your battery dies after 5:00 you're not going to get help calling the 24 hour service line through AAA because Keith's battery department shuts down at 5 o'clock for the Redding area at least on a Saturday night. Keith's never offered me a tow they just simply said sorry. They were not interested in helping me in any way and were simply giving me a courtesy call advising that they couldn't help. Perhaps the problem is with AAA and they need a better preferred vendor who we can all count on regardless of what time it is. read more

Keith's Towing saved me on a sweltering hot day 30 minutes outside of Redding in the hills on I5. From the professional and friendly woman who answered the call, to the exceptional driver I was very grateful for all their help. The driver even pointed us in the direction of hotels with food close while we posted up for the night in Redding since we are not from the area. He also stayed with us while we called the hotels to find availability which really showed their empathy and humanity. This was above and beyond any of my expectations and experiences with tow companies. If you are in need of a tow and in their area definitely give them a chance. It will be worth it! These guys are a total rip off, our car was stolen and they charged $350.00 to tow the car from the Bonnyview Boat Ramp to there yard. We only paid $300.00 for the car. They will not budge on there price and I can't afford to pay them. If I had $350.00 I wouldn't have bought a $300.00 car. It's really unfortunate that this business has to capitalize on someone's misfortune. They don't care at all about the situation or people at all they just want their check. My youngest sister rolled her car and even though she was injured and shaken up she still had the presence of mind to tell the CHP officer and the tow truck driver that she had AAA. When we arrived to pick up the car, 12 hours later, the bill was over $700! We began to discuss this with Donna, and we were understandably emotional. Donna, however, was incredibly emotional and unprofessional. Ripping papers from our hands and cursing at my younger sister. I couldn't believe someone in the front office of a business would be so irate with customers. Especially since this is something I imagine they deal with often.
