Ever since we moved to Clayton DE I have frequented this little shop in town. Kee has a gift! Not only does she have the most innovative cupcakes IE: flavors her cupcakes are insanely delicious! Amazing! We learned just a few weeks ago that our 21 month old had celiac and so many things we tried tasted like cardboard. We also had his brothers 5th birthday party with regular cakes and cupcakes ordered. This amazing owner and wonderful bakery was able to get a very last minute request in of 1 dozen gluten free cupcakes in red and blue icing to match our spiderman theme for our little celiac warrior! She makes the best tasting gluten free cupcakes ever. People didn't know they were gluten free! Need I say more? I've also had her regular cupcakes. Very delicious cupcakes. Welcoming staff when you walk in. If you have a sweet tooth, want something to indulge in on a cheat day, or have an event, Kee's is the place to go. What good can not be said. Cupcakes for every taste. The cake to frosting/decoration ratios is on point. I have had most of them. The service is terrific even when I have to video call for others to pick flavors she is patient and funny. The store is small and cute. No place inside to sit. I hope the town will allow a bistro table or two when the weather breaks. read more

My children gave me a surprise birthday party two weeks ago and the dessert was Kee's Cupcakes. They were a major hit! My guests enjoyed the Reese's cupcakes and the vanilla cupcakes. Today I stopped in and tried the Turtle, Snickers, Cinnabon, and Cherry Pie cupcakes. The service is always pleasant, the price is reasonable and the store is always clean. We used to go here a lot with my family for a sweet treat but much has changed. Service for one, they always have music blaring and are on their phones. There was a specific cupcake my in laws like and I preorder more than I should but to be considerate of this small bakery, I order a lot so we can have that flavor. I ordered and gave enough time and the order wasn't ready and apparently canceled. I didn't receive any call and when you have a special visit with someone that is expecting this specific flavor as our family loves it, it would be nice to be notified and not disappointed. Kee's is lovely! Every time I go in, I'm greeted with a smile and a selection of about 8 different kinds of cupcakes and usually a good variety of cookies as well. It looks like she makes sure there's a few "plain" vanilla and chocolate options available every day in addition to whatever delicious options she's come up with to surprise everyone. I never ate a cupcake, but I bought a dozen for a bake sale. The sales person was so rude I will never step foot in there again.

So I've only been in the area for about two years and I'm still trying to get my bearings. My wife's birthday happened to fall on Mother's Day this year so I thought doing something unexpected would be in order. My poor wife suffers from a myriad of digestive issues (gluten intolerance, lactose intolerance, soy sensitivity, etc.) which has caused her to all but give up on the hope of every having a traditional birthday cake ever again. This year, I was determined to change that even in the midst of COVID-19. I called around a few places with what I was trying to do (without naming names) and let's just say that they didn't quite give me the "warm and fuzzies". I called Kee's and was immediately told they they could help me out with a cupcake cake ensemble with all the restrictions I outlined above. When the time came to take these bad boys home and surprise my wife I was flabbergasted at the texture and taste of the cupcakes. If you have never had gluten free cupcakes with flaxseed and cashew milk then please understand that they will never be confused with the real deal. As far as substitutes go they were absolutely astonishing and I ate more than I probably should have. They were absolutely phenomenal, and most importantly my wife was a HUGE fan and is already scheming on the next occasion to order. As for myself, my birthday is next month and I have already started brainstorming my epic birthday cupcake spread. read more

This was me and my husband's first visit to Kee's and I absolutely loved going to this location. I'd been waiting to go since my move to DE last year, and I wasn't disappointed.
