I was surprised that a shop that sells cookies was not busy on a Saturday. No customers in the…read morestore and no one came in during my short wait. The associate was nice as he handed me the brownie cookie. I decided to take a bite on my way home, and was surprised to see grease under the entire cookie. The edges were very dry, and the flavor was like when a birthday candle drips on your cake. No chocolate flavor, and definitely did not taste like a brownie cookie. Very disappointing. Update: thank you for your reply but it's not that I just didn't like the flavor. As I stated in my review, there was grease on the bottom of the box, the edges were dry and crumbly, and the flavor tasted like wax. To me this is either an old mix or low quality ingredients. I have had your cookies before and liked them, but the last few times at this location were not good. I think from the lack of customers my opinion is shared. I hope things will get better.

But I decided to give the Sugar Factory a second chance with two friends. This time I was happy to see the many new added menu items. My eyes immediately went to the pastrami sandwich with seasoned fries. We had such good service from start to finish. Our waitress Sevinc was very attentive to our needs and checked on us often. Our food arrived to the table hot and delicious. It was the real deal in pastrami not that processed meat. It was really good quality meat. I was extremely please with my meal. The manager came out to our table to greet us and thank us for coming to the Sugar Factory. He even personally brought out the forgotten pickles with our meal. Real nice touch on his part. I can tell he's a type of manager not afraid to roll up his sleeves and jump in where needed. Kudos to manager Outten on that. I had the skillet brownie Sundae for dessert. It was so delicious. I just was so stuffed I couldn't finish all. My eyes was bigger than my stomach at the time. I had such a terrific Thursday at the Sugar Factory I couldn't stop cheesing all night. I was so happy that I gave the Sugar Factory a second chance. I can't wait to go back and try more items on the menu. I highly recommend going to the Sugar Factory for night of dining and fun. My girlfriends and I used to go to the San Diego and Las Vegas locations for brunch all the time back in the day. This amazing owner and wonderful bakery was able to get a very last minute request in of 1 dozen gluten free cupcakes in red and blue icing to match our spiderman theme for our little celiac warrior! She makes the best tasting gluten free cupcakes ever. People didn't know they were gluten free! Need I say more? I've also had her regular cupcakes. They are original, creative, simply put....divine dessert delicacy!
