Carla is the BEST! I was referred to her through a friend who was married a few months back and I'm so grateful. I needed my wedding dress to be a little longer and wanted it more custom fit to my shape. Carla worked quickly and perfectly to bring my vision to life. She added the fabric and blended it so seamlessly that you'd never be able to tell that it was altered at the bottom. Someone asked me the other day where I went for alterations and when I mentioned her, they immediately knew who she was and sung her praises too! I felt so comfortable with her and I can't wait to confidently rock my dress next week! Thank you Carla! read more

10 out of 10! Highly recommend if you are in need of someone to alter your wedding dress. I got married last November and Carla was so great. She did an amazing job on hemming the bottom of my dress so it barely hit the floor and she made the upper part of my dress feel so much more comfortable. Best of all, she did a wonderful job on adding a bustle to my dress. I got so many complements on how my dress looked and it was all because of Carla. Not only did she walk me through the process but she explained what she was going to do and took time to show me how to get the bustle looking great. And she took on my alterations even through my wedding was one month away so I highly recommend that you bring it in sooner than I did but Carla was so kind considering my timeline. read more

Unfortunately I didn't have the greatest experience here even though this place was recommended to me by the store that I bought my dress at. When I went for my first appointment, Sylvia pinned the sides and the hem, and said that she would make all the changes, but wouldn't cut any fabric off until I could come in to try the dress on again. When I went to my second appointment, it had all been cut, and the length, back zipper, and sleeves were all wrong. She cut too much off the length and the dress couldn't be fixed. I had to come in for fittings for my wedding dress a few times, and every time I felt like like the dress had become more and more overworked and ill-fitting. When I picked it up I felt like it didn't fit even though we had talked about the final fit and all the changes that would be made. I wasn't happy with the dress at all, but didn't entirely trust this place to do any more work on my dress. So I contacted another tailor and had them do a rush fix job since my wedding was only 1 week away. They showed me that there were problems with the bust, and the sleeves and hem were completely uneven (like, inches different on each side). The overall craftsmanship was really messy. I'm so disappointed because I initially felt like I was in good hands here, but the work done on my dress completely ruined it. read more

Great service and pricing! Sylvia was able to alter my all lace dress for more than half the price the place i purchased my wedding dress at! She charged me under $400 for bustling, hemming the length, and adding bust cups into my dress. The other place was quoting me almost $800!! read more

Amazing. I took a dress in that I needed done in less than 30 days. They were phenomenal! Quick, the best customer service, and the result was amazing. They didn't try an up sell, they didn't charge outrageous prices. I know I will be back again! read more

I was a bit nervous walking in as I have never gotten a dress altered. But, Sylvia made me feel so comfortable, made me feel like I'm a regular and that we already know each other. I called her 6 days before I needed my bridesmaid dress ready, got in that day, and picked up my dress 3 days later. So accommodating, so professional, and so kind hearted. Now I know exactly where to take my own wedding dress when that time comes. Thank you! read more

When my wedding dress came in it was measured incorrectly to be almost two inches too small in my hips. The bridal shop owner at Enchanted ensured that we could let out the hips and it would be fine. I came to see Sylvia, she did her review of the dress and said we will start with the let out of the hip and I would come back. When I arrived at my second appointment the dress was still too small, I could barely walk and I could not sit down. Sylvia had let out everything she could. It wasnt until I broke down crying thinking, this is not how this experience is suppose to be. The magical and amazing Sylvia said, we can fix this. She cut into the sides and created patches to open up the hips more, took lace from the bottom hem to overlay and you cannot even tell it was altered. Sylvia is hands down the greatest thing to happen to me during this wedding gown experience. She nearly brought me to the happiest of tears because I truly love my dress now. With the fiasco of my bridesmaid dresses as well she has SAVED THE DAY! Thank you Sylvia, you will always come highly recommended in my book! I wish I could give her 10 stars! read more

Highly recommend this wonderful bridal alterations place to go for your wedding dress alterations! Sylvia is so kind, patient, sweet and very skilled at what she does!!! We originally were going to have my dress altered through the boutique we bought my wedding dress, but when we went in for our first appointment we couldn't believe how rude the lady was and they were going to charge us $700 for alterations!!! We decided to look around and found Keepsake Bridal. So thankful we did and am so happy we went here. She altered the dress to make it fit like a glove and I received so many compliments on my dress and how fit!!! She does beautiful work and listens to what you want and also offers her expertise. Not to mention, she charged us about half the amount we were going to pay at the overpriced boutique!!! So worth it and highly recommend any bride looking for alterations to come here. read more

I've worked with Sylvia twice - once about 3 years ago when my stepdaughter needed minor alterations and just this week when my daughter needed help with a bustle - I am a wedding professional (planning/coordinating) and I LOVE working with Keepsake Bridal Alterations - highly recommend her any time for any one! Great work and reasonably priced! Thank you AGAIN, Ms. Sylvia! read more

My bridal gown came very large and from LA, had only 30 days to alter it. Sylvia answered my call and scheduled me for 2 fittings, about 10 days apart. My dress was so perfect. She charged less than the showrooms. She created 6 pickups in the back of my dress, and fixed my vail for free. She even sewed in a cute little blue bow underneath where it hangs. 5 Star customer service! You won't be disappointed. read more

Sylvia is a wonderful seamstress. She took my wedding dress and made it my princess gown! When I originally bought the dress, it was nowhere close to how poofy I wanted it. Keepsake Bridal Alterations - Sylvia helped make my wedding day absolutely perfect! - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Rancho Cordova, California

Sylvia and Aksana are miracle workers. They took a fully beaded size 14 ball gown and altered to fit my size 4 body. Since I lived out of town, she was able to make the alterations in two fittings. The alterations were quick and moderately priced for having to remove all of the beading and cut the dress down more than half the original size. They even offered to sew in cups for me and make my veil to match my dress perfectly. I could not have been happier with the results of my gown. The two felt like family and I loved the fact that it's a small shop and not a corporation. My father picked out my wedding dress and I wanted it to be perfect. They made sure it was nothing but perfect for my big day. Thank you Sylvia and Aksana. You made me one happy bride. read more

I would highly recommend Sylvia! I just needed some small alterations on my wedding dress and I was so worried it was going to cost me an arm and leg. She charged me under $100 for hemming, added bust, and sewing a few parts of my mother dress onto mine. She is also hemming my mother dress for under $50. She saw exactly what I wanted in all the add ons. Very nice and see to talk to lady about anything. I will be taking all my alterations to her. read more

Sylvia is amazing! She is kind, patient, flexible, and responsive to any questions. I had her take up the length of my wedding dress a little while leaving a tiny train in the back and some other minor alterations. She did such a good job on shortening the dress for me, you can't even tell it was altered at all! She even gave it a new clasp in the back because the one that came with the dress was poorly designed. I got so many compliments on how beautiful the dress looked. Thank you Sylvia! read more

My alterations went great! The pricing was incredibly reasonable and my dress (especially the matching of the lace) turned out looking perfect. Would highly recommend. read more

Sylvia is wonderful! I found her to be honest and her pricing was very fair. There was a moment of panic when I went in and found that my dress was taken in too much and my bustle was added in the wrong place (a different woman had worked on it) two weeks before the wedding but Sylvia was great at making sure it was fixed before the wedding. The bodice did end up popping out a little but it wasn't the end of the world. Overall I would definitely recommend taking your dress to Sylvia! read more

I purchased my dress from Alfred Angelo and Sylvia was assigned to do my alterations. I visited them in their Rancho Cordova location since it saved me a lot of drive time in lieu of going all the way to Alfred Angelo in Roseville. It's in a business park so it takes a little time to find their small sign, the location is just a bit of office space, nothing like a showroom or boutique, just a functional but private room with carpet and mirrors. After my first fitting the dress needed to be taken in quite a bit, and at my second fitting we made adjustments to the style since I wanted to add off the shoulder sleeves. They showed me how the bustle would look once it was tucked up for dancing, and I told them honestly I wasn't crazy about it. To me, once it was bustled it looked sloppy and took away from the overall symmetry of the dress. Sylvia worked with her assistant who suggested a more complicated style of bustle. They pinned everything up differently and I loved the way it looked! Sylvia mentioned there would be some additional charges for the work, but it only amounted to $40. I was very pleased and the dress really was what I envisioned and I got tons of compliments on it. If you are in search of a capable seamstress I think you can trust Sylvia. read more

Silvia is awesome! She can sew!! She completely transformed my sister's wedding dress, and it couldn't have looked better. It was so amazing. She took her dress and made it exactly how my sister wanted it! She also altered my dress and it was fantastic! She can also sew in boob cups, that make your boobs look awesome! She's great! Sylvia is extremely kind and incredibly talented. I am so grateful for her amazing work, she truly did a beautiful job. I took my wedding dress to be altered and we were ready to do the first fitting in less than a week. My dad is not well and we needed to move our ceremony to tomorrow. My first fitting was yesterday morning and after explaining my situation to Sylvia, she had my dress ready to go that same evening! I tried it on and it was PERFECT!!! My dress is hand laced and hand beaded, but needed to be let out and I needed to add a bustle. Sylvia made the lace she added look EXACTLY like the other side of the dress and it is perfect. I truly could not be happier or more grateful, like I told her, Sylvia is a MIRACLE WORKER! read more

Sylvia is wonderful.. She knows EXACTLY what she's doing... She made my experience totally painless... I was so concerned that I would have to come back several times to get the alterations like I wanted, but she was able to do it in one fitting... Her prices are more that reasonable... She's also a sweetheart... Thanks Sylvia. :) read more

I needed to get a special occasion dress altered for a big event and brought it to Sylvia with less than a month to spare. I contacted her through Yelp and she responded almost immediately. We set an appointment for a few days later. When I arrived the location was easy to find and private which I appreciated. You see I am trans/gender fluid and so wasn't sure how I would be received. Sylvia was ever the professional and even threw in some humor while we did the initial fitting. She made it fast and fun. While trying on the dress, Sylvia suggested I might think about growing a larger butt....which made me laugh! When I picked up my dress a couple weeks later she suggested a best time for me to arrive in the interest of privacy and I appreciated that. The dress fit amazingly, and I felt SO wonderful at my event! My dress is strapless and I didn't have the typical fights keeping it in place! ...even through a night of dancing! Yay! I will definitely be back to see Sylvia in the future!! Thank you Sylvia!! read more

Sylvia did a beautiful job with alterations on my daughters wedding dress.I would highly recommend this shop .

I was referred to Keepsake Bridal Alterations by the place I purchased my dress, Enchanted Bridal Shoppe. I will not go into detail, but my overall experience was poor. Yes, she's been in business for several years, but I felt because of that, she thought she knew what she was doing and never listened to my concerns and would say things like "I can't do that" because of the way my dress was made. I've never had alterations of such a huge dress done before so I don't know if this is normal. By the second and third fitting, I was very nervous and was ready to bring my dress elsewhere or even purchase a new dress, but so much had been done on my dress already and my wedding date was so close. When everything was "done" and paid for, I thought it was just the stress of the wedding and it probably wasn't that bad but now looking back at the wedding photos, my dress could have fitted and looked a lot better. I know Enchanted Bridal Shoppe is a huge store and recommends this place, but I would tell you to go elsewhere as one experienced bride. A few thoughts: #1 I recently moved to the area and did not have any friends or family come along for the fittings so having someone there may have made a difference. #2 As I was waiting for my second fitting, there was another bride there for her final fitting. She expressed to me about the many times she had to return to make the dress correct and her wedding was just two days away! (So, I can't be the only one who feels this way.) read more

Sylvia was fantastic. It was like I was having my own family member alter my dress for me. She was very sweet and reassuring that, yes, despite the place I got my dress from completely dropping the ball, she would do everything she could to guarantee my dress was done and ready by my wedding. Luckily, all we needed to do was hem my dress and sew on the sleeves, and my dress was ready to go. She was quick, efficient, did a fantastic job on my dress, but most importantly of all, was professional and kind. She was the biggest thing holding me together when I didn't know if I would have a dress ready for my wedding. read more

Sylvia and Aksana (SP- maybe Oksana?) were fabulous! They altered my dress in 2 weeks and dos it very close to the wedding date. They were flexible, as during my 2nd fitting I found a few things I wanted changed or taken in more. My dress fit beautifully and the price was even less expensive than I budgeted for! Thank you so much! read more
