They were literally telling people when seating them to pretty much go easy on their first round because there were over 100 people that needed to eat. People were assured after everyone went through it would be restocked. So that's what we did, and pretty much nothing was restocked. Had one rather small plate of food and left hungry. It was a joke. Not saying this place isn't great to grab a bite to eat or a few beers on a normal day, but for an Easter buffet they failed miserably. It was an annoying bust! I was under the impression this was the first year they did this so I wasn't going to leave a bad review. I figured they had some bugs to iron out- that assumption was incorrect. This was not the first year and based on that there is no excuse for how this was handled. If they do this again next year I wouldn't even consider going back. For $20 you would think it would be impossible to get ripped off, well think again!

Camp North End has grown a lot since I first visited around the time they opened. Luckily for them there are plenty of good options, one of which is The Free Range Bar! Free Range Brewing is one of the older Charlotte breweries that has been around since 2015 during the height of the craft beer craze. Due to their years of fostering a community, it is no surprise to me that they were able to open up a satellite tap room years later. This second location is smack dab in Camp Northend surrounded by plenty of patio seats outside, and featuring a quaint little barroom inside. This smaller tap room has a more intimate setting. The people working there are friendly and they have a variety of beers to try along with other beverages if beer isn't your thing. While I don't think this is a replacement for the original, it does a good job paying homage, and provides great beer options for Camp Northend. If you enjoy it here and haven't visited their OG brewery then consider this your intro and go check it out!

Not a big deal, but still kind of weird to me. I got a single sauv blanc can and a bottle of pet nat rose to go to bring to a gathering later, and the bartender (I wish I had caught her name) said the bottle used to be available by the glass and was really good! I asked for a small bag to help me carry everything and again they didn't have anything. Definitely smaller, maybe nitpicky things on my end, but I do want to highlight that the service/hospitality here is top notch.

He was incredibly friendly, helpful, professional, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a good experience. The staff was very welcoming and took escorted us directly to our seats. We had opted for the the front, which was actually a table but who cared. We actually enjoyed it more as we were able to meet the other people at the table. Prior to the show we started out with cocktails as neither my wife nor I are beer drinkers. They had a surprisingly robust bourbon selection and the bar tenders worked quickly to serve the inrush of people prior to the show starting. Great place.
