This company moved my furniture and boxes and loaded a POD. First of all the office was very flexible with my changing days during the crazy time of early COVID. They were always pleasant and helpful. The two workers who did the job were professional and friendly. They wrapped and packed my belongings with care and time efficiently. I was prepared with plenty of supplies, moving blankets and giant rubber bands i bought on Amazon. They brought the plastic wrapping. I could have used another restraining strap or two but everything arrived safely without damage. Their charges were reasonable as well. I would hire this company again. read more

DO NOT USE. Terrible moving company. We were scheduled for our move at 9AM, an hour later, no movers, so i called the company and was told "they are on their way, should be arriving in 20 minutes". Another hour later there were still no movers so I called again and was told again they are on their way... movers didn't show up until 11:30, and when they showed up they didn't have any of the moving equipment and materials so they all left to get materials. Around 12:15, they came back and finally started moving our stuff, this is already almost 4 hours past our scheduled time and we are moving to a different state and were expected to leave around 1PM for our 6 hour drive. During the move, we specifically told one of the guys to handle the couch with care, wrap it carefully and make sure no area is exposed because it's a very expensive couch, well they did not do it and they dragged the couch now all corners of the couch are scrapped with fabric being torn. We also had a bunch of other damaged items, coffee table, desk, TV console, mirrors, and a painting...The management company also lies through their teeth, one of the movers told me and showed me the text messages between them and the moving company, they even weren't told about this job until 11 o'clock of that day, this is why they showed up late (not blaming the movers but the moving company), so the entire time i was calling ask for the mover's ETA, they lied and knew they weren't going to show up until after 11AM. I put a claim through and was told i will hear back within 90 days, it's been way over 90 days and no one has reached out to me, seems like they are hoping i would just go away and forget about this. The team at Keep it Moving was great. My moving needs were all on my premises and I didn't know exactly what was going where or how long it might take. They lost a piece of my bed and didn't bother to tell me. Imagine after a long day you have to crawl into your yoga mat on the floor. It's fine! We found the missing piece in the hallway of the place I moved out of a day or so later. They also lost a piece of my TV set, failed to put together the Peloton bike (so don't buy the "we put back together whatever we take apart." No one had ever seen an Allen wrench. None of them! And each person on the crew blamed the next. One guy, an affable manager type who definitely knew what an Allen wrench was, really stepped up to the plate. But I can't say this was a pleasant experience. And the price? It cost me LESS to move from New York City to New Orleans than it did to move from CBD to Bywater. Just sayin' read more

The movers showed up and started out okay moving things to the truck. Then they stood around talking amongst themselves doing nothing and not telling us what was going on. What they said was a 5-10 min break turned into an hour with none of them in sight. In the end, they didn't want to move the furniture b/c of dust, spiders, and possible lead-based paint hazard in an old house. They were going to just walk off the job and charge me for loading and unloading the few items already on the truck. The compromise I proposed (as they are definitely not problem solvers) was that my brother and I (me with a broken big toe) dust and move all items to the front porch for them to load onto the truck. 3 guys and they were still slow, packed the truck inefficiently (not leaving room for 1/2 of what could have gone in the truck), didn't wrap anything with furniture blankets, damaged items through carelessness, rolled old furniture rather than picking it up, etc. Even when we got to the new house, they really just wanted to dump everything in the garage rather than take it to the rooms we needed the items to go to. I'm a real estate agent and work with movers often. I've personally employed movers 6 times in the past 2 years. This company is lousy by any measure. They're definitely not "workers," and that's what you need in a moving company. I understand not wanting to expose your workers to hazards, but these guys were unprofessional, lazy, careless, and slow. $1700 spent for 1/2 a truck load moved 1 hour away. They even charged me for all the time they were standing around, calling their manager, and debating. read more

Quick working, reasonably priced hourly rate and friendly staff that were careful with all of our household goods. The 4 man crew that was sent loaded our 4 bedroom house in less than 3 hours. Will gladly recommend "Keep It Moving" to anyone that needs assistance moving. read more

I am not one to complain or write negative reviews. I am doing this more to help others avoid the pitfall of using this company. First, I hired Keep it Moving to move my 10 by 15 storage unit and half of my 10 by 30 storage unit into my new apartment. On day one they were supposed to arrive in the morning, as my building does not let you use the elevator after 5 pm, there was supposed to be a 4-man crew for this move. Well, we did not start off on a good foot. The movers did not arrive until 1:50 pm and with only three people. Meaning we finished after 5 pm. Luckily my building said I could still use the moving area. However, an illegally parked car was blocking the moving area making it so they could not use the area and they did not want to park on the street and have to walk through the parking lot or use the public (non-fright elevator). This was not Keep it Movings fault, but if they had shown up on time and with the proper number of people I would not have run into this problem. This caused two additional charges, a $150 storage fee and the second day of the truck for $150. We agreed that they would take one of these fees off. They also agreed to take off the cost of one of the movers since I was quoted for a 4-man crew and only had a 3-man crew. They drove off with my stuff at which time nothing seemed to be damaged. On day two, a four-man crew arrived on time and I was thinking that it if took 4 hrs to load the truck, with me having to sort through stuff at the storage uni,t and have things moved from one unit into another unit that it would take about 4 hours to unload the truck give or take some. Well, they were here close to 8hrs the second day, I had one worker doing about 50% percent of the work another doing 40%, and the other two did the other 10%. Let's just say I carried more items up to the second floor that 3 out of the 4 movers. As such I was on the phone multiple times about the fact that not everyone was working, even the other workers were complaining about how two of the people were not really working. This is why it took 4 people twice as long to unload the truck as it did three 3 people to load. But worst of all was the number of damaged items, and the failure to listen to instructions. Such as how things needed to go in the room which was very important if done incorrectly not everything would fit or items would be damaged. At one point I had instructed them where the three arcade machines needed to go and not ten minutes later I walked into the room only to find that they had put boxes exactly where I had asked them not to. They also placed boxes of books on top of very light boxes which crushed a number of boxes. I once again told them that I had hoped not to have to move boxes today which is why I was wearing flip-flops. I ended up putting on my sneakers and helping the two workers that were doing a majority of the work. At this point I have not unpacked the boxes but here are the items I know are damaged two oil paintings with holes, a painting with the frame broken, and a painting with the glass shattered. Additionally, a 30-year-old vintage stand-alone arcade machine was severely damaged. On the day of the move, the company seemed very concerned and said that they would have someone fix the painting and the machine and that I did not need to worry about the damage. Now that they are gone and have payment in hand they are failing to return two text messages and a phone call. As such I can firmly say do not use this company if you value your time, possessions, or want a fair price. read more
