Brannon and his team did a great job helping me move things between a storage unit and my home. His communication throughout the process was excellent - answering my first call right way, providing a detailed quote, communicating and double checking times, dates, locations. The guys worked hard on a very hot day to be in a storage unit. Everyone was in constant motion and every request I made was met with a smile and action. Great local moving company. I will use them again if the need arises. HIGHLY recommended. read more

I was excited because of their reviews. They send you a reminder text the day before, which is great. But then the day of, they were at least half an hour late. Yes, the hourly rate goes towards 3 movers and their truck and tools, but the other two movers stayed outside of the house idly waiting for the other guy to wrap one piece of furniture at a time. Luckily I had some friends and family to help me because they helped me load and later unload my items which expedited a process that PowerMoverz dragged on The biggest offense came at the end when my time came out to 2 hours and 10 minutes and main guy told me that they round up BY THE HOUR so I would be charged for 3 hours. He got angry when I asked him where that's listed in the contract. All in all, my PowerMoverz experience was extremely disappointing. read more

Brannon and his crew were amazing we had a lot to deal with and they handled it better than I could have ever expected. On time, worked hard, professional, trustworthy, and really just good guys. I highly recommend them you won't be disappointed. Cheers to PowerMoverz a job well done. These guys can load a truck. read more

They came same day and got it done efficiently and with care not to damage the furniture or walls. Pricing was fair as well

First, the response time/communication on the app and on the phone was top tier. Brandon is courteous and professional. He also called the day before to confirm everything. Second, they are one of the best priced movers in the city. When Brandon arrived (about 5 minutes early, so extra point for that), he did a walk through of my 2 bedroom apartment to give me an estimate. He told me it'd take about 4 hours with three men (full disclosure, everything was not properly packed and sealed on my end, so they had to disassemble my beds and put the mattress in moving bags) since it was a lot of stuff and i was on the second floor. To be honest, I could tell it would be about 4.5, 5 hours, because it was a lottttt of stuff, but i didn't protest when he said 4 hours. Brandon and his crew had every single thing moved in three hours and fifty-eight minutes. I couldn't believe it. They are FAST!!! Nothing like when moving with friends lol they are able to move things like plants, painting, large mirrors with no problem! Not a single finished scratched, as it is masterfully wrapped! Great work, PowerMoverz!!! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Power Moverz. Their team moved us in half the time with the same amount of stuff. Their pricing was half the cost, and service much better than our prior move with another service. I would only use their company moving forward. Their workers were professional, amiable, and on time. Those men really hustle and take great care to protect your belongings, without wasting any time. Thank you for being a light in the all familiar stressful task of moving. Your company is worth your weight in gold. Do not hesitate to hire these men! You will be glad you did! read more

Excellent experience with Brannon at PowerMoverz. He showed up on time with his crew and quickly, carefully, and professionally packed up and moved our furnishings from our house to storage. Excellent communication and fair rates. PowerMoverz has my highest recommendation. Will definitely reach out again when we need moving help in the future. Thanks Brannon! read more

First, let me be the one to tell you that your friends don't really want to help you move (unless you're in college and that's because your friends don't have actual lives yet, and they haven't moved that many times so it's still oddly fun). Second, let me tell you that you're right, you can probably move everything on your own and you probably don't have to pay anyone to help you. But ask yourself what your time is worth. Then, do the math. Are you really saving all that much money if it takes you four extra days to move everything? Not to mention, you're probably going to end up renting a U-Haul anyway and that ain't cheap. So now it's a question of who to hire... I've only hired a couple of movers in my life, so I'm no expert, but I can tell you this -- if you try to go really cheap, you're going to get a couple of guys who don't care about working fast, who don't care about taking care of your stuff, who don't care if they're even putting it in the right room. Do yourself a favor and hire PowerMoverz. I'm going to break it down here by the most important qualities you want in your movers. *PUNCTUALITY* These guys showed up on time, ready to go. *SPEED* They worked at a smooth and steady pace the whole day -- which is what you want. You don't want guys getting tired and sloppy halfway through. You don't want them flying around carelessly with all your breakables. Moving is a marathon, not a sprint. *CARE* They came with shrink wrap (other cheaper companies don't do that). By quickly shrink wrapping your stuff is prevents dings on your furniture and dents in the walls. We have a couple of family heirloom pieces of furniture with ornate glass/etc. that I honestly wouldn't have trusted with ANYONE ELSE. *BRAINS* They were intentional with how they moved things and how they were loaded into the truck. They asked good questions about things that could/should come apart -- and they put them back together at the new place (like shelves and a large dining room table). *FRIENDLINESS* I'm not looking for bff memories, but it's nice when the movers are happy and friendly about it. It makes it easier to work with them and communicate openly. *PRICING* The price was fair. These guys worked hard and none of our stuff was broken. *MISC.* We labeled our boxes, and they did a great job making sure the boxes got to the right room. *BONUS* This is a locally own and run business. Personally, I like to keep New Orleans dollars in New Orleans when I can and put them in the hands of people doing good, quality work. So support local business and hire these guys. read more

PowerMoverz - The day before the move as we hurriedly worked to get things packed and labeled. - Movers Near Me - New Orleans, Louisiana

See all

The power movers were great! They asked about and moved our most precious items with extreme care and worked with us to move everything, which was quite a bit. Our move took 3, 8-10 hour days and cost more than what we expected, which we anticipated to happen in one day, but we had a LOT of stuff, including attic, garage and outdoor patio. They worked diligently and non-stop in high heat along side us. There was no standing around or idle time. The increased cost and days were not their fault, just a reflection of how much stuff we had, many of them were heavy furniture. I want to give an extra shout out to Brannon's professionalism, Raule's hard work, professionalism and great personality. Fresh worked his tush off and Irving was all muscle and worked hard as well. We appreciated hiring them and will do it again. I plan to recommend them to friends and family and indeed plan to hire them to help us move my sister in law! we hired them because all ratings were 5 stars. Well deserved! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Brannon and his guys. True professionals! - Very responsive and specific with their communications. In our first conversation, Brannon asked several questions and answered the ones I had. Then I received a call the day before and a text to say they were on their way. - Punctual! Brannon even called at ask if they could come a little early to get started. - Experts! These guys were super careful as well as organized and fast. They knocked it out quickly. - Courteous! The crew was extremely nice and polite. I am not sure you could find better movers in the area. Thank you again, PowerMoverz! read more

These guys are very good. My move job was not easy 2 flights of stairs to carry furnitures upstairs. Job was all sweat and strength. And these guys used every bit of it to complete the job in a very clean and professional way. I will definitely call on them again for future job. Thanks PowerMoverz read more

Absolutely fantastic experience with this group -- owner is communicative and clear as far as expectations and pricing. They moved all our large furniture for a one bedroom space + office + odds and ends including a weight rack set. They not only cared for our items by wrapping them and using blankets but they thoughtfully packed the truck and very nicely packed the storage unit so that the job was done efficiently and without damaging anything in the process. Will definitely be using their services again for future moves. read more

These guys are the best. On time, incredibly hard working, careful and professional when handling expensive items. I would not use anyone else. read more

PowerMoverz did a great job. Brannon was friendly and professional, responding to my initial inquiry quickly and following up to confirm the appointment. He is also a Tetris master when loading furniture into a moving container! Mack was a "no nonsense" mover. He knew what he was doing, continued to ask how I wanted things moved when needed, and worked quickly and efficiency. Shaq also did a great job helping out wherever and wherever needed. The team moved my two-bedroom into a Pod in the front yard in less than two hours and made the fit in an impossibly small container. I've never seen such hustle. Incredible value and would highly recommend Brannon, Mack and Shaq. Thanks guys! read more

The guys at PowerMoverz are amazing! They helped us move across town a few weeks ago and we were so impressed with their responsiveness and service. They were friendly, on-time, and professional, and they treated our furniture with care. (Not to mention the team was so personable and funny, great personalities all around!) Hopefully we won't need to move again anytime soon, but if we do, we'll be calling them again! read more

Had a PERFECT experience with PowerMoverz! The owner is super responsive. They were friendly, punctual, did a great job carefully packing our things, and finished before the estimated time (saving us money)! These guys are fantastic, and I can't recommend them enough. read more

The owner, Brannon, and staff were kind and easy to be around. There were pros and cons.. Pro: courteous, handled furniture well, worked consistently..no wasting time, picked up from 2 places and dropped off at two places, easy to deal with. Con: arrival time to pick up and to drop off. Arrival was not too bad..an hour off. They did notify me. But drop off in Alexandria was in the dark because of a delay on PowerMoverz part and I was not consistently informed...was told there would be 2 hour deduction in price but don't think that happened..really. I was too exhausted to protest. Overall, in light of other moves I've had, I would recommend. They were great to work with and I believe they are a stable company. read more

We just used Power Moverz and they were on time, very professional and did an awesome job for a fantastic price. I hired them hoping to have several heavy pieces moved and in the time that I booked them for (2 hours) they loved everything into Uhaul that we had- furniture, boxes, everything! 10/10 recommend read more

Brannon and his crew are great! Brannon is very friendly and professional. He was quick to respond to my texts and calls. We had scheduled our move but the closing on our new home got delayed. Brannon was understanding and allowed us to reschedule the move with no hassle. He called me the day before our move to confirm date and time. Brannon is the owner of PowerMoverz and he is the crew leader. He insures the job is done right; not that his crew needs much guidance. His crew knows what they are doing and are hard working, they were constantly in motion during the loading and unloading process. I highly recommend them to handle your moving needs. read more

It was raining on our move day, but they were flexible and offered to delay to make sure that we were not moving in the rain. Once I told them that the rain had stopped at our location, they promptly arrived and we're finished in no time. Everyone was very respectful of our property and very friendly. Definitely will keep them in mind for the next move! *I liked that it was a small local business, and the owner was actually here helping us unload the truck. Nice to see an owner working side by side with his staff. read more

Brannon and Eric came through for us! They were patient, kind, reliable and easy to communicate with. We are grateful for their hard work on a very hot day. Brannon and his TEAM were excellent and great at their job, from packing, storage into truck, and unpacking and placing in the new location. Personable, friendly, professional, courteous. They take their jobs serious in communicating from day one to the point of delivery. We have had movers in the past that ended disappointing. PLEASE know you could ask for no greater crew as Brannon and his team. We truly cannot say enough good and mean it all. We thank YOU BRANNON & YOUR TEAM!!!!! Job well done. read more

Amazing I have used PowerMoverz 3 times. They are always professional , on time, thoughtful, and move with extreme care. I highly recommend!

I should have wrote this review 4 months ago. PowerMoverz were great. They showed up early and worked timely and efficiently. They came to get the job done and not extend the clock. One thing I know for sure is these guys are built for this stuff! Brannon was so professional and helpful during my move from NOLA to ATL! I was moving on such short notice and they were able to find availability for me and take care of this so quickly! Normal big companies will take days to move your things but PowerMoverz got it done in one day!!! That was so impressive and for a wonderful price!! Nothing was broken, mirrors and TVs were carefully handled. They are very responsive and accommodating. I really appreciate these guys and would recommend them to anyone and will definitely use them again in the future! read more

They were efficient, communicative, and took care of all my moving needs. Plus they're local, and I like to keep my money in the community.

Brannon, Shaq and Irv were professional and moved quickly. Brannon was so great! I had to coordinate a move (sadly) out of my house in Nola and my stuff into a storage unit while I was in Alabama and he made it super simple and easy for me! He and his crew showed up promptly (and had masks of course) and they were quick and careful even in the rain (bless their hearts ) they even helped us take a part one of the trundle beds while they were there. Really nice and efficient! Thanks Brannon! read more

Brannon and team were great! They even arrived early and brought in an extra person to load up the truck in the morning. Very quick and efficient, wrapped up my furniture in plastic, even broke down my TV and got everything to the new place same day (moved from New Orleans to Austin). Very relieved and felt at ease knowing I was getting my furniture the same day they picked it up and moved as a lot of other companies will hold your furniture and bring it to you on a future date. Highly recommend! read more

I highly recommend Brannon and his team at NOLA Power Moverz, it was a pleasant experience from start to finish. His communication and efficiency in getting the job done was impressive. Once Brannon came and surveyed the job to be done, he had it covered, I didn't have to do a thing and off the bat you could tell how caring, capable, and trustworthy he was. Brannon and his team packed up and wrapped my items with care and impressively moved me to my new place, even with 3 floors of stairs involved, with a great pleasant attitude, quickly. His pricing is extremely reasonable considering the value, and I would recommend him and his team to anyone, and will absolutely call him every time I need to make a move in the future. Thank you Brannon and team, you guys rock! read more

Great, reliable, fast movers. The only problem I had was they did not protect my paintings well so when items moved in the truck the canvas of one of my nice paintings stretched and it about gave me a heart attack when we opened the van at the destination. However, I was lucky and the canvas popped back into place miraculously. I recommend just watching closely as they load but otherwise they were wonderful. Maybe too fast even. read more

From the moment I spoke to Brandon, I was immediately put at ease and felt very confident that I was getting a fair and quality rate. I was able to schedule a moving date and time by our second conversation. Unfortunately hurricane Zeta came through and knocked the power out in my building for 48 hours when I was supposed to move out. Luckily Brandon and his crew maintained open availability and even offered to come during the evening of the power was restored. I was unable to meet him as I had a flight, so my husband dealt with everything. He's a hard critic and he sang praises. He stated the crew was on time, professional and quick. His exact word to describe them was "excellent". We were doing a long distance move out of town otherwise we would definitely seek to use their services again. read more
