0/5 stars if I could. I booked ABBA on April 1 for a move scheduled on June 6. On June 1, I reached out to confirm everything and go over our inventory so they'd be prepared. I was told everything was good to go. Then on June 4, I got a text saying they needed to cancel our June 6 move and asked if we could move on June 7 instead. After much back and forth, I agreed because we were on a tight timeline and needed to move. June 7 came and went, and no one showed up. No call, no text, no email...nothing!! I had to reach out myself to find out what was going on. Even then, nobody ever arrived. I called both phone numbers listed online multiple times and never got an answer. Eventually, I received a text telling me to contact someone named Daniel. I texted him and called three times, but never got a response. Then I got a random email saying the truck broke down and they'd follow up with an ETA... 1 hr went by... complete silence. At that point, we were essentially ghosted. No apology, no explanation, and no effort to help us find a solution after leaving us without movers on the day of our move. Moving is stressful enough without having to wonder if your moving company is actually going to show up. Unfortunately, that was our experience. Based on how this was handled, I wouldn't recommend them if you need a company you can count on. read more

I booked a move with them on April 21 for a move next week (June 29th), and they texted me asking to move the day a week before the scheduled date after already getting everything ready for the day I scheduled. First of all, I want to preface this review by saying what a great team they have at ABBA Movers. I work in customer service, and I know from my own personal experience that sometimes things happen and things can run late, but it's really about the recovery that you do for your customers when things go wrong, and ABBA went above and beyond for me and my husband. We had scheduled an 8 AM move, but issues with their truck caused them to run several hours late. But they kept in touch with us the whole time and communicated updates very well. And when they arrived to perform our move, they even brought extra guys to help and only charged us for the original two that they had quoted us in our quote. The team was so nice and so efficient. We moved from a bottom floor quadplex shotgun in Mid City to a 14th floor high-rise in the CBD, and we are having trouble with our key fob not working correctly, and the team was so patient as we dealt with that. They were fast, friendly, and efficient and transparent with the price, and the final price was on the low side of the range they gave us in the original quote. I would recommend this Company to anyone due to their transparency and pricing, great communication, and efficient friendly team. read more

This is not a real company, I cannot get in touch with the owners Nicholas Marquette or Natalie Zapato or anyone other that their crew lead who barely gets any information. They will not provide you with the services they weakly promise over the phone with no written contract. And then me and my husband were harassed by their operator handling their text service (see screenshots below). I've requested my money back twice and it's been declined which is the only way someone reached out to us even though they lied and told me they reached out to my husband and never did (can provide this proof as well). I've worked in this industry, I'm a small business owner, I work a full time job, I'm a parent, I've moved across the country three times. We used ABBA twice, in August 2023 and then again in January2024.They were great, did a great job, came on time,very careful with our furniture. We had a very large 2br Condo and are older Seniors, so the first move, was things we had to have. January move was easier, so we finally got everything in one house. I previously used Abba Movers to move me in 2020. I have since referred them to my family and friends. So when our law firm was moving, I had to reach out to Nick. Nick was working out of Baton Rouge, but he referred me to Alan. By the way both of them are awsome! Alan set me up with a date and time and all I had to do was kick back and let them do the work. Moving an entire law firm was no easy task, but the 3 men they sent out was fantastic, polite, professional and very detailed. They moved the entire firm from New Orleans to Harahan within 4 1/2 hours. They placed everything in its place and didn't break anything (LOL). I will continue to use them and recommend them. Hired ABBA Movers to move a two bedroom apartment with a good bit of furniture. Communication and booking was clear, easy, and quick. I liked that there were no hidden fees and pretty straightforward pricing compared to other movers. They arrived right on scheduled time even though there was an hour window. The guys were nice and they actually sent an extra. I was moving mostly furniture and every item was wrapped with care. No damage, quick work. I had some heavier pieces but the guys were equipped to handle it all. We completed the full move in a little over 3 hours. My rate was prorated and fair. They accept almost all payment methods. All around excellent! We didn't catch the name of our team's leader but the whole team was awesome!!! We were moving across town and need help with larger/heavier/awkward things that wouldn't fit in our car. We got a quote and call after I filled out an online quote request. Not only did the quote come in cheaper than the online quote (after going over the items we had with the phone rep), but nothing was broken-which I'm not sure I've ever experienced! We're so happy! We hired Abba to move a particularly heavy, fragile piece of art we bought a while back. The artist left it with her friend who moved away and left it with someone we don't know. We wanted to make sure it was wrapped up and moved quickly so we weren't taking up too much of their time since they were doing us a favor by holding it. The movers were pros! I would recommend Abba Movers. Their crews were polite, diligent and careful with our possessions. We did have a hiccup on moving day when their truck broke down on the way to our home. Even with that unexpected breakdown, they managed to secure another truck and arrived to begin the work only 15 minutes late. The booking process was pleasant and easy, and the billing was straightforward and understandable. The only note of caution would be, if you have a larger move (i.e. 3+ bedroom house w/garage), to be sure to accurately communicate your inventory when booking and have an understanding if everything can be moved in one or two truckloads. read more

We were very pleased with ABBA movers for our local move in New Orleans. The booking process was simple; called and booked over the phone then followed up via text for details. Our move was confirmed a couple of days before, and I called on the day before to ask a couple of questions and Nick was very helpful. The day of the move, our crew showed up on time, wearing masks, and got straight to it! Did a quick walk through with them, and then a few hours later they were done with furniture disassembly and loading. They took great care with the disassembly of some large furniture we have, and they had all the tools needed. The unloading and reassembly went smoothly, and payment at the end of the services was smooth. In total, ~5 hours for a local 2 bedroom move at a very reasonable price (our initial quote was for 5-6 hours, spot on!). What a horror story. Hired them to help me move and boy do I regret it. I was told they would be following COVID protocols and not one of the guys brought a mask. They also had no paper or shrink wrap with them. When I mentioned having certain items wrapped as other movers had done for me I was informed they do that, but since I did specifically request "that kind of move" they could not do it. They also did not bring any tools with the exception of a single Phillips screwdriver in spite of the fact that there beds, dressers and a china cabinet to dismantle and reassemble. They scratched my wood floors, scuffed my walls, knocked the edge off of one of my door frames and scratched and gouged my furniture. Some of the furniture needed to be moved from a storage unit as it was from my vacation home I sold the year before. All of that furniture was properly disassembled and wrapped by another moving company. When they got to the final location with that furniture they balked about reassembling the beds and dressers. They did not have the proper tools (a pair of pliers) to reassemble the beds and scratched and gouged the tops of both of my dressers trying to figure out how to get the mirrors back on. When I commented on the scratched dressers they blamed the prior movers in spite of the fact that I was standing beside them when they unwrapped it and watched them scratch it. When I pointed that out their reply was "my boss says I am not even supposed to be putting back together furniture unless we took it apart". On the positive side, they were polite, worked hard and moved whatever I asked them to. Some of it just not very carefully. There is more, but I think this gets the point across. My spouse booked the move and we use different last names. We sent the Abba email box a lengthy email today outlining some of these issues and canceling the second day of our move. I just moved multiple items out of my private office to my house. I used Abba Movers after reading glowing reviews from other customers and talking to Kenny there. They were fantastic! They notified me of a delay in arrival and were professional and efficient once they came. My office has a rather narrow interior hallway and they took great care to make sure that both my furniture and the hallway remained scratch free. At my house, they moved a piece of furniture from inside to accommodate the furniture already in their truck without any complaint. The gentlemen were pleasant and offered help in every way they could. The price was exactly what was quoted. I am so glad I used Abba Movers! If I could give a negative 5 stars I would. I'm sorry. We booked them a month in advance, and they told us they would arrive at 12pm on move out day. Then they pushed back the time to 2pm then 4pm. Then they told us that the movers were unresponsive. Radio silence until finally they messaged back and said someone could come at 9pm? We had to run around New Orleans looking to order a uhaul last minute. Today has been so horrible. I'm in the middle of finals, my roommates are night nurses , and this moving company completely bailing on us has left me with no words. I understand they had a lot of houses today, but they could either 1. Not overbooked or 2. Told us at a decent time in the day that actually they weren't going to make it. Absolutely ridiculous. Whole situation should have been avoided. I am exhausted tired and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I can't respond to the owner's reply. But you never notified us that someone had a family emergency because I understand life things happen. But I have emails and text messages that says y'all would've gotten there between 8-9pm. Why would we have taken y'all's word and waited until 8pm, after y'all already hadn't been on time all day? Again, if you guys would've just texted us that someone had a family emergency and you wouldn't be able to come get us is understandable. Who moves out at 9pm at night? Our landlord needed us out of the house. Also we would've gladly taken a 3rd person?!?! We just needed y'all to move us, but you never showed up??? Do not use this moving company! I cannot tell you the number of items they broke or damaged due to their poor packing skills and lack of attention to my items. I had hired them for 2 hours, and they stayed only 1 hour and 15 minutes. When my POD arrived at my destination, the movers moving me in to my new home were horrified by how terrible everything was packed. They refused to use the packing materials I had provided (tie downs, moving blankets, and wrap). They used half of one of the 6 packages of tie downs I provided, and because they were not wrapping the furniture, we were forced to do it ourselves. After they left and I realized they hadn't used any of the tie downs, I called back and asked them to come back to tie everything down. I was assured everything was ok and that everything was secure. My boyfriend and I then used some of the tie downs ourselves to secure some packages. Again, when everything arrived, it had clearly shifted in transit due to not being tied down. I would seriously consider looking elsewhere, there are other moving companies out there who do a much better job than this one. read more

My dad and I under estimated how much stuff I actually had- they helped move my existing storage unit into a bigger unit, helped organize it so I could access the things I needed the most and came back for a second trip and even helped pack my car for the new place. Overall a good experience with a professionalrchfutnebm crew. Miguel was great and all four movers were all very friendly and knew what they were dgoing. We had some difficult pieces that had to go down stairs but it all arrived in one piece. Contact was good and the price was fair. I dinged them because they didn't ask many questions on the front end and didn't want to inspect beforehand. In addition, one guy showed up late and left early. That was a tired crew by the time they finished and took longer than it should have. I would use them again but I know now how many movers it will take. read more
