I have been dealing with Atmosphere Movers over 3 years now trying to get a settlement for damaged & lost items, over $20,000 worth of lost and damaged items from their climate controlled storage. I have been yelled at by the owner, hung up by him on at least 4 occasions, and been told when I submitted additional info concerning mold on furniture that my info was redundant. I have gone to their offices several times, and I'm told he is never there to take my calls at the office. I've had mold testing done which in writing attests to the fact my possessions were not stored in climate controlled storage. Also was told by Chat that I could repurchase my items online for about $5k. He's downplayed the entire ordeal.Would not show me where my items were stored plus I also paid for an extra $5k for extra insurance. He does not take inventory, which I did and does not give you any paperwork, so you are basically screwed if you have a problem .I have not gone public trying to give him a chance, but enough is enough. Where is my compensation? Still have not received payment as of 2/24/25. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I hired an attorney one time, but Chat told him that Chat would rather give the money to his attorney before he would pay it to me. I also have a VOICE MESSAGE from Chat Stockstill stating that he would offer $5k to me out of the kindness of his heart, but I have received no funds. I have photos of the missing items plus photos of the mold of many pieces of furniture. I had to trash the furniture because it could not be cleaned. I have a written mold report plus a report from Chat's furniture repairman stating which items cannot be repaired. The repairman would not state that the items had mold, so I hired an independent inspector to do so.I have a written mold report in my possession. I still have the voicemail on my phone to verify Chat's offer that I have not received. He refuses to deal with this issue. What does that say about Chat Stockstill's integrity, business practices and ethics? read more

My wife and I hired Atmosphere Movers to move us from Slidell, LA to Pensacola, FL. Approx. 2300 sq./ft house, including antique furniture, china sets, music equipment (full studio with two drum sets, amps, guitars, mics, recording equipment, computers, etc.). They showed up slightly late. Company logo truck and uniformed. They had about 6 guys in the crew, very professional and respectful and they got right to work. All furniture was wrapped and padded. They loaded the entire house minus a few items I wanted to move myself. Total loading time was about 3 hours. They were waiting for us when we got to Pensacola about 30 minutes after they arrived. Again, they wasted no time and unloaded both trucks quickly. There were a few glitches, not totally unexpected in a move. My wife's office desk was damaged and a rolling kitchen cart had the wheels knocked off. Not important pieces -- cheap, fragile MDF. I did reach a satisfactory settlement with them on that damage in under 30 days so I am not complaining about it. Overall, satisfied with the job they did and the price we paid for it. I would use them again and recommend them. Moving is tough. There is always a risk of damage. Be watchful, active and involved in the process. IMO, how the company handles issues that do arise define them more than a "perfect" move. In that respect, I think Atmosphere Movers defined themselves favorably and earn 5 Stars. read more

Atmosphere Movers were excellent. All of them were extremely professional, polite, friendly, and they got everything done with extreme proficiency. They had me moved out of the old place in RECORD time. Arrived at the new place at the exact same time. They took direction really well, and even went above and beyond. One gentleman was ON HIS BACK UNDER MY BED using zip ties I'd provided him with to secure my adjustable base to the platform base it was resting on. They didn't complain when I had them move things around, even when I had them carry certain boxes BACK DOWN the stairs. All of them got so concerned when I had an unfortunate slip down the stairs (I was fine, just a little bruised and embarrassed), and all of them practically begged me to sit down and let them do what I hired them to do. I can honestly say that this was THE SMOOTHEST move I've ever had! I hate moving, so I hope I don't have to do so again anytime soon, but if I did, I would hire them without hesitation! I read all the negative reviews about this company and my experience was the absolute opposite! The receptionist was courteous, thorough, and did a wonderful follow up, even though we cancelled on them because our first house fell through. The owner himself called to check on us after learning our second house was a go. The 3 man crew showed up exactly when they said they would. They were amazingly fast and packed a whole 3 bedroom house up in 2.5hrs, not a scratch on anything. They were polite and had great attitudes too, even though WE kept them waiting on US for 20min. Hired Atmosphere to move a monstrous Murphy bed and two side bookcases from Rowan Oaks mid city to my home in Metairie. They were right on time and took great care in moving everything. When it comes to pool tables. These are your people. No flaws..no b.s They told me they ran out of proper staples for the pockets and promised to come back and re do them. They kept thier word. Fast installation and just hard core professionals. Plenty of laughter while installing between employees shows a positive work environment and attitude. Would recommend 100% to anyone looking for any moving project. Especially heavy awkward projects like pool tables and pianos..they WILL get it done. My floor was also un even and they ran out of shims to make it level..but got it in The bubble and also promised to come back with the staples to make it 100 and 10%. Great people great service. 1. One of the movers stole a previously unopened, unused air mattress from my belongings and slept on it for several nights. When I confronted Atmosphere's owner about this, he first lied about it ("It was left on the back of a truck."), then he admitted that it had been used by one of his employees, but said that it had been intended to go to Goodwill (isn't that the property owner's decision, and not the movers'?). Finally, Atmosphere admonished me for not including this specific item in my inventory, indicating that if every single box is not listed on the inventory of items to move, it is up for grabs. Note to anyone considering using Atmosphere--better make sure you list EVERY single item to ensure that it doesn't get taken by the movers. 2. The movers damaged my house and furniture on moving day. I got estimates from professionals to present to Atmosphere, and they only reimbursed me less than half of the estimated costs of repairs, stating that the repair estimates were "excessive." 3. The movers did not finish the job. I was left to move over a dozen SUV-full trips between my old house and my new house. 4. From the time I first made the owner of Atmosphere aware of these issues to the time I was reimbursed for the air mattress and a fraction of the cost of repairs, over FOUR months passed. I left at least seven messages that went unreturned before getting the Better Business Bureau involved, at which point I finally got a return call from the owner. When I spoke to the owner, he never once offered an apology, but he insulted my intelligence and accused me of complaining for the sole purpose of "getting money" from him. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. read more

Absolutely the worst business interaction i have ever experienced. Arrived 6 hours late after confirming appt day before for 8am. No answer or return calls all day. When arrived they were very rude and not once apologized. Damaged lamp, table, and scratched bed. Items were never repair or replaced. When I spoke with the owner (Chet) the following Monday regarding me experience I was told, "if I had known you would have this attitude about my company I would have told my crew to skip you, business is good and I didn't need yours". This company was contracted by my job for a relocation so it was paid for by my company and I still had this absolutely terrible experience. Make sure you do not use atmosphere movers. read more

Every time I dust, I am reminded about the terrible job Atmosphere did shipping a large, solid cherry dining room set from Covington to Canyon Lake, Texas. Their truck became too full so they rented a Uhaul trailer and loaded the furniture in it...without pads! of course, every piece was damaged. Chat Stockstill, the owner, offered to pay me $.60 per pound for the damage (that's the standard insurance amount) but then they would get to keep the $12,000 dining room set. I also needed to provide an estimate for repairing the damage and the cost for that was about what the insurance payment would be. What a deal. In the end, I got nothing from Atmosphere except unreimbursed damage and lots of frustration. I've moved a lot and when there was damage the companies always repaired it or paid for a replacement item. This was a hard lesson and I will never use Atmosphere again. read more

So far I have used Atmosphere once to move a number of boxes from my house to a storage unit. It was the first step in our move. Moses and Louis were great. They followed my instructions to the T and everything went better than expected. This is the 1st time we have moved in 26 years so you can imagine the apprehension. I am giving two stars due to the politeness of most of the crew. We had so much minor damage to almost all pieces of furniture, it would be too much to list. I gave some examples to a representative but it was not acknowledged. This was the worst moving experience we ever had, as far as damage to our property. The loading crew was two hours late. One of the crew played on his phone all day. They damaged three walls that had to be repaired before we could leave for the day. This is to be expected with moving. Other things should not be expected. They arrived with rented Penske trucks, had no boxes/equipment for televisions, left cigarette butts and trash at my front door, and hit our truck when they pulled away. They drove away without letting us know they had shattered the side mirror, which we needed for an 8 hour drive. Thankfully, no issue getting it paid for since we just deducted it from payment. The unloading crew was nearly 4 hours late from time initially given. This crew was different and much better. However, we have found random screws and bed supports stuck in drawers. Now we will have to figure out which pieces aren't stable. They lied about putting support brackets on a huge master chest. They unloaded some heavy garage cabinets where I specifically told them not to. At least half of these cabinets have broken legs now. I'll have to hire someone to move them. It was so late that night when they left, I didn't catch it. I emailed my experience afterwards to Luke but got no response. We paid more for this move than we should have. They did no better than a cheaper alternative would have. Absolutely recommend not using. read more

The process for reserving the move was easy - the price was reasonable. I have moved MANY times; eleven times in just the last twenty years. Some of the moves have been with amateurs and some with recognized big name companies and everything in between. This group was so terrible, I find it hard to believe they are able to stay in business. The team sent to my house was an uncoordinated, odd collection of random people who seemed to be just pulled together for my move. The owner and the manager of the move were both in poor moods and not very mannerly. Every problem that came up was brought to me, instead of solving it themselves. And most importantly, because they did not offer me unpacking services, it was months before I found the many, many broken things. From inappropriate language to the ill tempered manager, I could tell several more stories but I will just say that moving is hard enough without adding this company to the experience. They were the most expensive of the four estimates I got. And lastly, they would not address any of the problems after. read more

This experience moving was the worst ever. The packers and the movers did not communicate. Packers said movers would pack big things but when they got there to move, they looked confused and had no idea about packing big things so my tv, pictures and computers just got thrown in somewhere. Things were left behind at our old location. Then when moving to our new location they lied about it all coming at once when indeed they moved some of the stuff to a storage unit locally then took off to another move. So we had 3 guys arrive the day of the move with two UHAUL trucks - not even their company trucks - really? They had to hire some random local guys to come assist them with the move. All our clothes and linens smelled horrible and some things molded though I was told it was climate control. My couch still smells to this day no matter how much I have tried to clean it. My rugs are disgusting smelling. My furniture was beat up. No protective covering on many things and you can tell from all the nicks. They lost the screws to my sons bunk beds so they couldn't even put it together. My desk was taken apart and completely messed up. Now I have big screw marks on the top. My piano has a big chunk taken off the legs. A filing cabinet has been pushed under in the back. Stools, and many many platters were broken. I had over 10 large picture frames cracked, some to the point they can't be used. Golf caddy completely destroyed. NOW, here is where it really gets me. They lost my wedding picture that can't be replaced...seriously how do you lose a wedding picture??? Also 2 computer monitors gone....how? Then the owner says they were not on your inventory list....what inventory list????? I never gave them an inventory list and I never saw them put an inventory list together so how can you say they were not on my inventory list. Other moves I have done, put a sticker on every item and handed me a many page inventory list. Coming in to give me a quote and looking around to see what is in my house, does not count as an inventory list. I would like to see that inventory list. I spoke to the owner many times after constantly calling. My fridge was totally messed up on the outside with marks, scratches and dents (even dropping it on my new house hard wood floors and denting them too). I was told by the owner oh that will buff out...nope no one has buffed it out. And then he asked if I had boys and proceeded to tell me that it is nothing compared to when my boys get interested in knives and takes one and carves in my oven door. What does that have to do with the price of egg in China with my fridge? And no my boys better never do that and know better not to ever do it. Oh and can I mention the antique wall clock that was broken into pieces and put into a bag? There is no way this clock can get fixed. This is not to mentioned my walls look like a bunch of dirty 2 year olds painted pictures on the way with all the marks, dents and scrapes. Mud on carpets, scrapes on hardwoods. It is so disheartening to move into a brand new house and others not take the time to care for it like if it was there own. Can I also mentioned all my stuff did not arrive and we waited a month for it to be delivered after multiple calls? The second crew attempted to fix some things but most things were still left unsatisfactory. The owner did not seem to interested in making things right even though he stated it was their worst move. Too many things went wrong. I would highly not recommend because I don't want others at a lost for things they were so hard for to take care of to be damaged or lost. read more
