I…read morework in customer service, and I know from my own personal experience that sometimes things happen and things can run late, but it's really about the recovery that you do for your customers when things go wrong, and ABBA went above and beyond for me and my husband. We had scheduled an 8 AM move, but issues with their truck caused them to run several hours late. But they kept in touch with us the whole time and communicated updates very well. And when they arrived to perform our move, they even brought extra guys to help and only charged us for the original two that they had quoted us in our quote. The team was so nice and so efficient. We moved from a bottom floor quadplex shotgun in Mid City to a 14th floor high-rise in the CBD, and we are having trouble with our key fob not working correctly, and the team was so patient as we dealt with that. They were fast, friendly, and efficient and transparent with the price, and the final price was on the low side of the range they gave us in the original quote. I would recommend this Company to anyone due to their transparency and pricing, great communication, and efficient friendly team.

I was told everything was good to go. Then on June 4, I got a text saying they needed to cancel our June 6 move and asked if we could move on June 7 instead. After much back and forth, I agreed because we were on a tight timeline and needed to move. June 7 came and went, and no one showed up. No call, no text, no email...nothing!! I had to reach out myself to find out what was going on. Even then, nobody ever arrived. I called both phone numbers listed online multiple times and never got an answer. Eventually, I received a text telling me to contact someone named Daniel. I texted him and called three times, but never got a response. Then I got a random email saying the truck broke down and they'd follow up with an ETA... 1 hr went by... complete silence. At that point, we were essentially ghosted. No apology, no explanation, and no effort to help us find a solution after leaving us without movers on the day of our move. Moving is stressful enough without having to wonder if your moving company is actually going to show up. Unfortunately, that was our experience. Based on how this was handled, I wouldn't recommend them if you need a company you can count on.

We've moved several times, and this was by-far the worst experience we ever had. Slidell Moving was the contracted carrier to move my household goods as part of a military move. The deceit started with the packers who marked every single item as dented, scratched, badly worn, etc. They even did this on brand new items. There is no other reason to lie in this manner except to protect themselves when they later break your items. Our packing was scheduled to be 2 days. However, we were told by the packers that they are forced by the owner to pack quickly and move on to another job, despite being scheduled for 2 days. They said the owner will fire anyone who doesn't do this. When they loaded the truck, the owner told us it would be a direct delivery, meaning the truck was immediately enroute to my new home. This turned out to be a lie because they stored the truck in a hot, humid, non-climate-controlled location for 3 weeks in the dead of summer. Next, they lied about the weight. When loaded, we were told the weight was around 17k. Later, the company lied and said it was 19k. This was an obvious deceit to defraud more money out of the government. When the truck finally arrived, it was a different truck than what was originally loaded. All of our belongings were carelessly loaded into another truck with heavy items sitting on top of fragile items. Several items of value, and high sentimental value, were carelessly packed without proper padding. An irreplaceable wedding cake stand and a large, 6' tall model ship were destroyed despite us telling the packers how important those items were to us. In the end, we received over $30,000 in damages. We reached out to the owner, Roger, who turned out to be a complete jerk of a human being. He was rude and crude on the phone and did not care about the damage his company did. He spoke to my wife in a manner that no real man would ever do. Furthermore, he rudely said he does not care about negative reviews and said "that's why I have insurance." As I said in the opening, you've been warned.

Unlike most of my CGSOC brethren, my wife and I emerged from a hellish PCS season mostly unscathed, with nearly every item intact, and with a furnished house well before class/work began here at the Leavenworth schoolhouse. The men on the crews that packed and unpacked our goods were fantastic. They worked hard and long to get us out of our home in New Orleans, and then efficiently in moving us into our place in Kansas. They couldn't have been friendlier, providing the kind of "familiar" service that we grew fond of in NOLA. This was my best move in ten years of Army service.

Through puddles, over bushes, through mud, up a flight of metal stairs, and left sitting in puddles. Our 2 mattresses were so drenched we couldn't even sleep on. Including my new $5,000 king size tempurpedic mattress. I had purchased zippered waterproof protectors with handles and begged them to put on both mattresses but was told they were using their plastic covers. Which immediately came off in the rain. My dresser came up missing a leg after being drug up the stairs. Anyone could hear. Long half hour or longer breaks were taken and I was told "don't worry, it won't be on your time". Well, they were paid by the hour. We could see everything coming out of the truck in the rain and left sitting from our balcony. We were also told that there was a hole in the roof of truck and that was how everything got wet. Nothing was protected or wrapped. Some were mistakenly picked up and brought after I told them they stayed. Some extra items they said they would take but left. I did offer to send pictures when I first called to ask for a move. I know some of our furniture was over sized. Our tall metal lamp has two large chunks out of it and somehow even got the small heavy metal switch under the top completely bent and unable to turn now. Also the frame was bent. It was seen being carried sideways. Marks on wood furniture. There were not many extra items that were taken. 3 bags of food from the refrigerator and freezer. The lamp, 2 small shelf stands and a metal bench in the closet, pictures in frames, and a rolled up rug. None of the furniture abuse and lengthy breaks were noticed until AFTER I paid everyone and we left the storage unit and headed to the apartment when what should have taken an hour and a half turned out taking hours until 10 Pm! The office manager told me after dropping to the storage unit that it would be an extra $300 which I paid then and tipped all three over 20%. Their manager didn't show up until 10pm and he came in and stood in our living room demanding $800 more money. It was so long in between them bringing up an item up one flight of metal steps it was ridiculous. Then they had the audacity to ask us to leave the door open during a termite swarm in between! Not! We could hear them dragging our things up the stairs and would open the door. That's when we started watching over the balcony. I sent pictures of the damage. These were NOT professional movers. Worst moving experience I've ever had in my life. It's almost like they got mad and intentionally damaged all our stuff after we left the storage unit! Requested but still have not received their insurance information. We have $10,000 in damaged furniture!
