Keep it cut has been our main place since we found it after moving here. We got both my husband and son a couple of easy cuts as we came across them other places, and they NEVER turned out well. Probably one of the WORST haircuts I've ever gotten. I'm way too embarrassed to even show it.

Booked my husband here for an appointment at 11 am on a Saturday. Got the text message confirmed. He arrived 10 mins early: 10:50 am. At 11:17 am I got a text with him that he was frustrated they hadn't taken him yet. He noticed a stylist sitting on their phone. And an entire turn over of people. People arriving after him and his appointment time were being seated before him. I'm not sure what happened. He left without getting his hair cut. He was scheduled with ISSA but would have had his hair cut by anyone. Second time we scheduled an appointment here only for him to not get his hair cut. Disappointing. Giving an extra star because in fairness, they weren't given the opportunity to make it right. read more

I've moved to Phoenix temporarily and I've heard of Karen through a friend of mine when I asked for haircut recommendations. Now I am about to move to NY and I want to take Karen with me cause she has been my fav barber ever. I don't have a very typical men style, I usually keep my hair a bit longer and messier than most men, but I would like it to look clean and organized at the same time. And this has become a problem with most of the people who cut my hair in the past. I think Karen immediately understood what I was going for by looking at my overall style and did a good job cutting my hair at the first time. Then we tried different things every time I went again, and every time, it was so easy to communicate to her what I wanted to try, she would quickly pick up the idea, tell me what she thinks, suggest different options and execute on it very skillfully. Very disappointed in the service. I was running a few minutes late to appointment and called to ensure I could still get in. Was told on the phone they have a 10 min grace period. I informed them I was going to be 9 minutes late per Apple Maps. Was then told they wouldn't be able to get me in even though I was within the 10 minutes. I found this place when I came to yelp event for the grand opening, I came in for a hair cut once in a while and always got a good cut. I must admit I stopped coming in for a while because I kept getting bounced around to different stylists and damn it, I'm a one stylist kind of guy !! I decided to give it one last shot Before I canceled my membership. I'm soooooo glad I did. I set an appointment online with Sydney and came one last time. I would give this place zero stars if I could. Recently moved out here from Orange County, CA and had been looking for a barber, my friend told me about them so I decided to give them a try. Worse decision ever, the young lady who cut my hair was so nice and such a sweet person, which is why I didn't say anything in person and didn't make a scene, but totally screwed up my hair when I asked for a medium fade, skin, trim and thin on top. Left me feeling insecure for for the way my hair looked for a week, until it grew back a little. Manager called me back refunded me the money and offered to cut my hair next time and asked me to give them another try. So I did, I scheduled another appointment, before doing so I called to confirm that the haircut was going to be on the house(per previous conversation between the manager and myself) the guy who answered the phone had zero professionalism, he kept on saying "she's not here today and if she told you that then maybe it's on the house" instead of saying "she's not in today but let me relay the message to her and I'll have her call you when she's in to confirm those details with you" he just had terrible customer service and couldn't bother to relay the message to his boss or ask her. Then to make things worse, the day of my appointment, I get a text 2 hours before stating my appointment was canceled. Had to go to another barbershop where they have true professional barbers who know what a medium fade looks like and know what they're doing, not to mention the customer service was amazing at A&B Barbershop on East Guadalupe Rd here in Tempe. The haircuts here are on point, but unfortunately, they ALWAYS run behind. I've been a member of this location for two years +, and I just canceled my membership. I booked an appointment online today with Bridgette, at 3pm. I arrived at 2:58, and noticed the location was busy. I stood outside and waited patiently for my cut. At 3:32, I heard someone call my name. I walked in and up to the register, when another guy asked Bridgette to make sure he was checked in. He proceeded to complain how his appointment was at 3:20...so Bridgette took him back! She took a 3:20 appointment (who physically arrived after me), before a 3:00 appointment. Please listen to your customers more closely. If a customer asks for only 3 inches off their long hair, don't cut 8 inches off. Y'all legitimately cut nearly 2 years worth of growth off this man's hair, when he asked for a trim and light texture, specifically requesting no more than 3 inches cut off. read more

My barber was out of town and I needed at a cut fast! I live directly across the street from this location and I have seen a few people coming in and out and their cuts weren't "that" bad. So I drove over and walked into the establishment as soon as I walked in they just looked at me and then went back to doing what they were doing! So I definitely felt unwelcome but I just laughed and sat down. It took someone 15-20 minutes to ask me "Do you have an appointment?" And I said "No, Do you guys not accept walk-ins?" To which the person said "Yes we do but it's going to be a while" I then said "okay no worries I'll wait". So I waited about 10 minutes and in that time period I seen 2 people finishing up their haircuts and I WAS IN TOTAL SHOCK (their haircuts were something I would expect from the barber school or worse, not an establishment with 4.0+ LMAO) So I literally just got up and left. I really wanted to say thank you to the girl that was rude for making me wait, because she saved me that day! I know the 5 star reviews on this place are from a certain demographic. If you are young and like a good Mid-Skin-Fade or even a proper FADE please save yourself and DO NOT COME HERE! read more

Update: The owner reached out to me via email and is issuing a refund check. It's nice to see that he takes feedback seriously and values business. I won't be going back to the Tempe location but the Indian School location seems really good (review coming soon). I will keep my membership. I have been seeing Alexis to get my hair cut and every time I see her she says, "I keep forgetting to put notes in the system about what type of haircut you like" and this last time I heard her tell another customer the same thing. Kind of annoying that she just can't get it together and show her clients that they're a priority. Also, last visit I was promised a 3.3oz 3-in-1 but they were out. Alexis said she'd put an alert on my profile so that I would get it the next visit. Guess what....she forgot to put the alert in so I didn't get it this visit either. Such a poor experience. Get it together girl! The last two haircuts I have gotten were really bad. My sides were uneven and I don't think she really knows what she's doing. Plus she's S L O W! I don't mind if a hair stylist takes their time to cut someone's hair but do a good job! I usually go in with my boyfriend and we get our haircuts together. He has Felicia cut his hair and last time she cut his hair, he went across the street, ordered and ate lunch and then went to Dunkin Donuts to get me some coffee and came back and Alexis was STILL cutting my hair...and it wasn't even a good haircut. I could have probably gone to Great Clips and gotten a better haircut...at least it would have only cost me $10. Last visit she was telling me how Felicia is always back to back and that her and Raymond take the overflow. Yeah, there's a reason for that...because Felicia gives awesome haircuts and the other two don't. Speaking of Raymond....what an attitude on that guy! So my boyfriend usually sees Felicia for his hair and one week Felicia wasn't there so he had Raymond do it. I thought it looked good by he said that Raymond didn't ask how he wanted his neckline and that he wasn't pleased. So this last time Felicia was working so he requested her and I requested Alexis, both of who had clients and Raymond was free. Raymond checked the computer and saw that we didn't request him and was PISSED. Rick does awesome work! He greeted me friendly, explained the different menu price options and informed me of the types memberships (which are fantastic btw)! He makes getting a haircut easy, comfortable and did an amazing job on my haircut (see attached pic). The place is really cool inside too! It has 2 garage style doors that open up, huge stations with attached "air blaster" hoses and all the latest and greatest tools. The lighting is awesome, it is uncluttered, and very clean. The haircut was subpar. The girl didn't seem to want to be cutting hair. I don't know if I did something or if she was just having a bad day, but it wasn't a good experience, and I used to havea membership and was considering coming back. I had to ask about the beard grooming service even tho I have a pretty big beard. Just not a welcoming experience. I'll go elsewhere next time. Update. I just got home and after a better look at my hair, IT SUCKS. She did a really bad job. I asked for the sides to be short, but it looks like there are several different lengths. I went to get my hair cut today and yes the cut turned out good, Felicia was my stylist and I am happy with the cut but not the service. She seemed very entitled and was not polite at all. I left my appointment with loose hairs all over my face and neck and typically at the end of any men's hair cut the stylist will clean up the back of the neck with clippers which she did not. During the cut she continuously kept saying "I have another client to take after this" which in my opinion is rude and if I go back I will definitely be choosing another stylist if I even go back at all.
