I received The Benchmark service and I would describe it as the last word in a luxury haircut experience. First Stephany asked me how I like my hair done, then she suggested some options for styling it that I had not considered before. I quite liked her suggestions and took them. She was gentle but firm while she cut my difficult, curly hair and trimmed my beard, and I could tell she was taking her time to do the best possible job. After the trim part, she took me to a quiet back salon room where she dipped my hands in paraffin wax, then began the scalp massage and hot towel treatment. I had never experienced a paraffin-wax dip and the wax felt strange at first, but as a chef and frequent hand-washer I don't think my hands have been hydrated like that in years. The treatment that followed included a face massage, a hot towel wrapped around my face, a pleasant eucalyptus aromatherapy, a shampooing and a scalp massage, then she removed the wax from my hands and gave me a hand massage. I am happy to say that Stephany brought the same careful attention to detail to each of the services, and was both responsive and informative when it came to the styling that followed. She even helped me understand what I have so far been doing wrong in caring for my beard and made some wonderful suggestions to improve my beard's health! In summary, I do not believe I have experienced relaxation quite like I did at The Boardroom, and would recommend Stephany to anyone who might be interested in elevating a haircut experience. She was knowledgeable, professional, great at small talk, and I will be visiting again soon to request her services!

One of the barbers was sitting. While two were cutting hair. I immediately sat down as a walk in and they asked if I had an appointment. I told them no. The guy who I talked to seemed very adamant that there were only 3 barbers working today. He said he could sign me up for an appointment at noon. So I'm under the impression they are not taking walk ins and appointments. So I left because I'm not going to sit around d for 2 hours for an appointment. This and previous bad experiences at this location has sealed the nail in the coffin for me. I will it be returning and will spend my money elsewhere. The only thing I took from this is that they are not taking walk ins, they are only doing appointments, one barber was doing literally nothing (but they just opened), and they are not willing to assist anybody sooner because they are under staffed. It's always too orange, yellow or blue. Don't they know what blonde means?! Sheesh, I mean that is their business to know! I've even brought photos on my phone to show them what I wanted. They don't listen. They overcomplicate the whole process. They layer all kinds of products and services. They say they cannot achieve the blonde you want without using a toner/glaze. They say they cannot lighten your hair enough with just bleach. They say that would damage your hair. Then they put you under a hot dryer, use super hot water to shampoo/rinse you, and blow dry your hair with superheated air -- which actually damages years of hair growth. Then they offer you a deep conditioning treatment. They are purposely causing damage so they can charge for a hair cut to cut off the damage. They use several steps and products which take 3-4 hours and charge you $300-$500 for all their time and "effort" when all you needed was some bleach without even going under a dryer, some purple shampoo in the bowl, a quick blow dry (ON MEDIUM HEAT) and you're outta there.
