On Thursday evening 2/20/25 my HVAC went out on a night where the temps dropped to 30°. Having had some bad experiences with three previous HVAC contractors, I thought I would give Keefe's a try after having gotten a couple marketing emails from them. When Latrease took my call she was polite, thorough, and even funny, and she asked all the right questions; remember, this is not my first rodeo. At this 8:30 AM call she gave a service time window of between 11-2, confirming that I would receive a message when the technician was about 15 minutes away. It wasn't 30 minutes later I was texted that the technician was on his way--fully two hours before the estimated time. HVAC specialist Joey was attentive to my breakdown of the symptoms, and respectful of my analysis of the potential problem, even though I was wrong. He did not seem annoyed that I was watching over his shoulder in the attic the entire time he was here, and even that I was asking a lot of questions; I worked my way through college in hospital maintenance for six years so I appreciate the value of troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. You can't fully see what he was pointing at in a couple of the images because a hot water heater and plenum box were in the way, but I got the gist of his educated and experienced analytical breakdown of the various components and the issue at hand. Throughout his analytical testing and then repair he explained what he was doing and why, possibly because he saw I wasn't going to leave him alone, but nonetheless this gave me yet more respect for his and Keefe's expertise. Finally, pricing for the call, repair (and he had the part with him), and service contract were extremely competitive based on my experience, so I will be referring Keefe's and Joey to friends and neighbors when asked for HVAC referrals. read more

I've been a loyal customer of Keefe's since I bought my house in 1998. They've been the only ones I've ever used. They even installed my current a/c unit. I recommended them to everyone I knew. That is up until today. My a/c went out on Saturday and I called them, like I always have. Because I had just spent $400 a few days earlier on a car repair, I asked if they would hold my check for a few days until payday. The repairman, who was the same one who fixed my furnace last year and remembered me, saw me in their system, told me no because his supervisor said I was not a current customer of theirs. ??? After using them exclusively for over 16 years and giving them thousands of dollars of business, they don't consider me a current customer? I considered myself a long time loyal customer of theirs for 16 years but to them I WAS A NOBODY. I called another company who arrived 2 hours later on a Sunday - not after 24 hours that Keefe said. They fixed my a/c and charged me less than 1/2 of what Keefe's was going to charge for a Sunday call. Save your money and call someone else who will truly recognize and appreciate what a loyal customer is. I just wish I had done that years ago. read more

I had been trying to get some electrical upgrades done on my house for months. Calls to numerous electricians got nowhere. Nothing but appointments scheduled to give estimates that nobody would show up for. After giving up on the third electrician that I called I next called Keefe's. I was surprised that they told me someone would be out the next morning. I was only expecting for them to give me an estimate for the work that I wanted done but my second surprise was that they offered to do it all on that day! The technicians that did the work were professional and friendly. New breaker panel was installed as well as two new circuits. There was one small part that needed to be ordered but I was assured it would be in the following week. There were some delays but they called or texted me every day to tell me they were still coming. And a few days later the same technician showed up and installed the missing part. I was recommended by a friend to call Keefe's and so happy I did. They came out in a few hours after the call. They took all my info over the phone and called to tell me not once but 2 times the man first was in my area then to called again to tell me he would arrive in a few minutes. I appreciated the attention considering the busy schedule we have, once the service man arrived he introduced himself and was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the questions I asked. Chris was a pleasure to speak with and very informative about the questions I asked. He did not play around he did his job efficiently and well. I was very glad I took my friends advice and called Keefe's ac. I will continue to use them because of the customer service from the office and the quality serviceman that came to my house. Lady called me this morning to tell me it's time for them to service my unit. Over a year ago they cut my unit off and told us it needed to be replaced. It's almost new, so we called out someone else. We called three rivers. They told us it had just been turned off and was in great condition. Three Rivers cleaned it free and it has been running perfectly ever since. We keep it around 65 inside at all times. Keefe's are absolute crooks. Three Rivers came out and didn't charge us a thing for cleaning it. I told the lady who called me this morning this. She said that's terrible and hung up. lol. How do they sleep at night? He looks happy though. They send photos of the techs to your phone so they'll appear more trustworthy. Skip this company. read more

When my 3-year-old AC system wouldn't start I called Keefe's after the original AC installer tried to sell me a membership plan ($199) or else I'd have to pay $149 just for the service call. That kind of stuff doesn't engender loyalty and since Keefe's had a great rating on Google I chose their $88 service call instead. Their tech was on time as scheduled. Turned out the system had shut down because of a simple shut-off valve I could have addressed myself, and for way less, had I known about it. But the tech (Mohamed) was professional, courteous and thorough. He even checked the outside condenser unit. read more

Had an AC issue in the evening and contacted Keefe's. Chris D. showed up the next morning. He changed the capacitator and cleaned the unit. He even upgraded the ac fuses--the team that installed the unit used 30 amp fuses when the machine required a minimum of 50 amps. I found Chris D. to be both personable, professional and was very impressed with his thoroughness. I would give Chris D. and Keefe's my highest recommendation. read more

I have to say, after researching the situation that occurred to the two year old aircon. (which by the way, was installed by a different company) the issue being a dual capacitor burnout in the unit, the Keefe repair tech saved the aircon's life.
