TL;DR: Conrad with One Good Plumber is fast, reliable, professional, reasonable, quality parts and service. I highly recommend. Super service - even during a holiday. On the day before Thanksgiving, Conrad arrived less than one hour from me opening a home warranty claim. He quickly confirmed that my 75 gallon water heater needed to be replaced. We discussed the challenges of my installation and we agreed that the new one would not be in place until the end of day Monday. This was disappointing but understandable due to the holiday. Also, I was nervous because I was leaving town Friday morning and would not be there for any additional issues (there usually are issues). Conrad pleasantly surprised us when he called on Friday and set up to install it that day. The entire NOLA area experienced low temps in the 50's that weekend and the early install kept my wife from having to choose between bathing in cold water or travelling to impose on relatives. I returned a week later to find the new unit installed EXACTLY as we discussed. WARNING: If you have a home warranty... My only complaint is with the warranty company. I have two contracts with them - one for me and one for my disabled sister. Each home has needed a water heater this year. Regardless of their size (my sister's was a 50 gallon unit), the cost to me was over $500 for each - $75 copay plus $460 for non-covered expenses. I priced the extra parts used for my job at Home Depot and they totaled less than $30 including tax. This is a flat fee imposed by the warranty company. THIS ROBBERY IS NOT CONRAD'S FAULT. The first time Conrad came to my house was on a Sunday for, what I considered to be, an emergency repair. He fixed the problem. The cost was very reasonable. Thereafter I called him several times because of a slow drain in one of my showers. When the problem kept recurring he mentioned a drain cover that he had put in in several apartment complexes. I bought one from him. He installed it. In the process of installing the new drain cover, he damaged my tub. Since it was a small nick I did not say anything. He did not say anything to me about it either. The new drain cover was impossible for me to get the debris cleaned from it thereby creating a worse draining problem. Conrad came back and suggested a different drain cover. I bought it from him and he installed it. This drain cover was no better than the first. Conrad came back and cleaned the drain. He said it was draining well. I showed him that it was not. He did not reply. He charged me and departed. I got a different plumber. He said the problem was the drain cover (the one installed by Conrad) . When we remove that cover, the water drained well. read more

Showed up representing Choice Warranty my home warranty company. I have a $85.00 per event deductible....He charged me $350.00 saying this won't be covered to pull up toilet. I found out he didn't bother to check with Warranty Company to pull up toilet....total misleading.....Misdiagnosed sewer problem... I have called several times and he isn't returning calls....I called out Drain Surgeon and they found a blockage routed it out and drains are draining fine. He was on the cell phone the whole time he was here and barely acknowledged me......very unprofessional and does sorry poor work....I'm filing a complaint choice home warranty. I cannot say enough about One Good Plumber. I had a leaky faucet and my Home Warranty Company sent me another plumber who said he could not fix it because the set screw on the faucet was stripped and he had to replace the faucets. As a result the Warranty Company refused to honor my claim. I appealed because I knew the screw was not stripped and after much complaining, they sent out One Good Plumber. Conrad was here within 1 hour of my hanging up with the Warranty Company, confirmed that the set screw was not stripped and fixed the leak in 10 minutes. This guy knows what he is doing! I have a home warranty that i pay so that i can save a little money on any appliances/services that need doing. Part of the deal is when a technician comes out i pay a $45 copay. The caveat is they sit up the appointment with whatever technician contracting with them that is available. This is the second time i have dealt with One Good Plumber and each time he has come he quickly accepted the service fee and came up with some reason that he could not finish the service. Quite frustrating when even after getting the required information he refused to come back. We later found out that on the latest trip his report to the choice home warranty was misleading and included blatantly incorrect information submitted no doubt in an attempt to avoid having to do the work.​​​​​ read more

He Fixed it the next day, offer to fix it that day, but no need to hurry I had good water pressure in the house. Conrad answered the phone, made space in his scedule to assess my situation, and arrived within two hours. He recommended a conservative way to deal with leaking on ceiling coming from the bathroom above. There was no visible evidence of leaking from the upstairs tub, sink, or washing machine. He said leaks are often due a problem with the wax ring seal under the toilet. Rather than ripping out the ceiling to investigate all the pipes under the bathroom, he suggested replacing the toilet's wax ring, and waiting to see if there are any new water marks on ceiling below. I appreciate him offering the conservative approach, and I hope he is right and I do not have to rip out ceiling later. read more

Oh my gosh it was a Mardi Gras miracle. Let me set the scene, I'm cleaning up the kitchen and the drain isn't working and water is going into the dishwasher. I go about my night and make a note to get Draino in the morning. I mean, why let something you can't fix immediately but think you can fix later ruin the party? I get said Draino and now water from the dishwasher is filling my sink, it's 7:30 am and I'm in trouble. Conrad answered the phone, heard me out, and said he could come out at 3 pm (on a scheduled parade night). Let me tell you, won't He do it?!
