Really wish I took photos - therefore just like the great convos with the wonderful, extremely personable and educational counter gentlemen - will be coming back real soon with photos Review: Hudson Kebab House isn't just good--it's memorable. I had the gyro wrap, my wife had the chickpea salad with falafel, and both dishes were so on point they brought me right back to my time in Istanbul. Flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. The wrap was balanced, not greasy, and the falafel had that perfect crisp-to-fluff ratio. But what really stood out? The person behind the counter. Not sure if he's the owner or just part of a family-run operation, but his energy was magnetic. He checked in with us--and with everyone who came through the door--like we were all regulars. Friendly without being overbearing, helpful without the upsell. He made the food taste even better, if that's possible. This spot has soul. It's the kind of place you return to not just because the food is excellent (it is), but because it feels good to be there. I'll be back very soon to try the kebabs, and when I do, expect a full deep dive--possibly with pictures, definitely with passion. 15/10 - must try. Strong BUY, erm, sry, not investing.. STRONGLY RECOMMEND

First time trying yesterday and I was delighted. I got the mix kebab plate and baklava. Tzatziki was full of mint flavor and perfectly complimented the charred meats and buttery rice. I loved that this plate had an assortment of gyro and kebab meat, and came with pita and salad as well. Overall super good quality and great service, fast takeout and well packaged. I can't wait to return and try their other items!

We ordered pretty much the same thing as the first time with the addition of the Cheese Borek to try out. It had a great balance of salty cheese flavor to the crispy phyllo dough. It went well with the Fattoush Salad (that came with the Mixed Platter). We were 3 people this time and the Mixed Platter for 2 was plenty of food along with all the appetizers we got. The Iced Mint Lemonade could have a bit more mint and less sugar but I found it sweet and refreshing. Their Hummus and Babaghanoush here are both excellent and pairs well with the warm pita they give you. Please do yourself a favor and check out El Jardin! Delicious food, amazing portions, and family-owned Palestinian restaurant.

The restaurant has an interesting history. Even though the original opened in Cresskill, NJ, it unfortunately has permanently closed. However, not only is the Edgewater location amazing, but it had the guts to open during COVID (2022), survived, and is succeeding. The restaurant is beautiful inside and outside. Their decorations are tasteful, the presentation of the food is award winning, and the service is stellar. I started with a Mocha Cappuccino and it was so good. Served in a large mug, an airy/creamy top, and had the perfect amount of mocha happiness throughout. Before the meal even started, we were graciously given Za'atar (a popular Middle Eastern spice blend with an earthy, tangy, and nutty flavor, toasted sesame seeds, and sumac, with salt). It was crunchy, drizzled with oil, and I enjoyed how each thin pita bite made the spices explode all over the table. The entrees were: Strawberry French Toast. The next was the Falafel Platter (chickpeas and fava bean balls, served with tahini sauce, pickles, turnips, tomato, and mint). The last selection was the Avocado Toast (Citrus cured salmon over multigrain bread, tomatoes, onions, capers & citrus vinaigrette). Not only were all of these dishes beautifully presented, but all were filling, as well. My Avocado Toast kept me full for the rest of the day and the salmon was enjoyably salty, thin, and delicious. I noticed a dessert in their display case and ordered it. The dessert was the Riz Bil Ashta (Lebanese rice cream, infused with orange blossom water, blended with milk and cheese, and topped with crushed pistachios). This dessert tasted like a regal custard and the pistachios added an enjoyable texture that makes it recommended. Of course, I had to cap the meal with a Mocchiato. This amazing beverage followed the rest of the meal..... delicious, eyes closed good, and every sip was full-flavored. Thank you, Madison Café and Grill, for presenting a memorable meal and I wish you continued success.

My group ordered several appetizers, including the hummus sampler and the octopus. For the main dishes, everyone ordered either the skirt steak, branzino, or the chicken skewers. Everything was delicious. No complaints about the food at all. The only comment is that we were a table of seven with early reservations since we had a baby with us. Even though we were one of the first and only tables when we arrived, the service was a bit slow and we had to get the waiter's attention a few times. This was not enough to lose any stars. Chris, the manager, always makes you feel right at home with his friendly welcome and top-tier customer service. Derrick in prep deserves a shout-out too -- you can tell he puts real care into every dish. Their gyros are hands-down my favorite item on the menu. Fresh, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and consistently delicious. If you're stopping by for the first time, the gyros are a must-try -- highly recommended! I have to say the customer service was outstanding. I'm aware that this is a new business and they have other locations popping up around the city so I hope my review gets read for some resolutions. One- if you don't have ingredients to make certain items or if you are promoting a new item to your menus, make sure all locations have the item available for purchase or at least say on your social media, this item is exclusive to a certain location. I wanted a hot chocolate on this freezing cold day in the city just to get a water down mess. I was told they didn't have whipped cream and I also can tell they weren't ready to provide this item because it rang up on the register as a latte, along with another employee having to show the girl how to ring it up. It was not worth the price I paid. I was furious and disappointed. I think it was close to $7. The good news though is that my food was phenomenal. I got a dip sampler that comes with pita bread and some sauces. I don't care for plain hummus so I asked could I substitute another dip and received an extra Tzatziki sauce. My favorite of them all was the Baba Ghanoush, The spicy feta was just ok. I also received a free taste of the Greek goddess and some green sauce I forgot the name of with a sample of some fries. Delicious! I wish I had spent my money on those fries rather than the awful cup of chocolate. The fries were amazing with the little sample I had. The chicken I brought extra with the dip sampler was also tasty. It was so juicy and flavorful I would come back to purchase again. I also ordered some mini bougasta to take home to my girls. They were happy with them. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have the cups of dessert they again had on the insta page, I was told they weren't sold at that location, although the girl who rang up my order didn't know what I was talking about I had to show her. I decided to just take everything to go although the place was nice to dine in. They had very pretty decor and it was very clean inside. So although I was mad about my cup of hot water and what tasted like soggy bread with nuts inside my cup, it doesn't even deserve to be call hot chocolate, I wouldn't let that stop me from visiting again. I mean again great food, great service, and really good healthy options. Prices are not cheap but what isn't in this expensive city we all trying to thrive in. Thumbs up on this one and Happy Yelping! AGAIN-DO NOT BUY THE HOT CHOCOLATE!
