O2 BBQ - Soju tower - Korean Near Me - Guttenberg, New Jersey

O2 was great. They had good choice of Kalbi and Bulgogi. We went during rush hours with a reservation a party of 6. The server was good, he cooked all the meat for us! Food can be filling since the each selected portion size was larger than other KBBQ spots. I also realized that they only had a few options compare to other locations, either way the top choices were great! read more

My family and I Decided to dine at this bbq spot on a Friday night and the wait was about 10 minutes. Once we got to the table the waiter explained the menu and asked us to use the QR code, we made our selections and the food and service were exceptional. Employees were very nice and welcoming and everything tasted fresh. Overall a good experience and would definitely visit again. read more

I love Korean BBQ and couldn't wait to try. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked into a cute restaurant that was busy. I was greeted and sat. I was served by pretty much the whole staff as they all went around checking on everyone. I ordered the Soju and red wine for drinks. For food I had the: Vegetable gyoza Steamed egg Miso soup White rice Spicy chicken Marinated chicken Kalbi marinated steak Kalbi Marinated tender steak The food was really good and seasoned well! I really love the chicken and steak and the steamed egg! I had a good experience all in all! read more

Food was amazing. The staff here are so nice and attentive. Han is hilarious. Definitely coming back.

The service was so comfortable compared to other AYCE spots because they do not count down your time like a guillotine. At other places I've had stress and anxiety eating because they would come by and tell me how many minutes I had left vigorously, but at O2kbbq, the vibe is very comfortable along with GREAT QUALITY meats and Korean comfort food in my opinion! Sides are all delicious too! read more

Took my friend here for her birthday and O2 BBQ absolutely delivered. The food was amazing fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying. James was our cook and he was on point the entire time. Friendly, fast, and made sure everything was cooked just right. We had a really good assortment of meats and the veggies were fresh and crisp. The spicy tofu soup? Heavenly. Warm, comforting, and full of flavor exactly what we needed on a rainy day. Even the staff who weren't directly serving us were super attentive and kind, constantly checking in and making sure everything was going smoothly. Just really good energy all around. Definitely coming back soon. Great service and even better food. Highly recommend! read more

I enjoyed my lunch experience yesterday at O2 BBQ. It's an All-You-Can Eat restaurant. I chose Chicken for my meat to be cooked, Tofu Soup and I ordered noodles. The food was fantastic, the service was very attentive and nice. The staff who served me explained the menu to me in great detail and made sure that I was very happy with my meal. And the atmosphere is very cozy and I felt very welcomed. So if you're in the area, then I highly recommend this place for a great dining experience! :) read more

Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Ambiance: 10/10 Amazing place! The food is pretty good for an ayce spot. They had a vast menu of proteins to choose from and theyre also vegetarian friendly. Theres two separate pricing one for meat eaters and the other for the vegetarians (which is rare at most places). Service was amazing! All the workers were super attentive always stopping by every now and then to make sure we were okay and to help cook our meats. The grills are very big allowing you to cook more meats faster and not have to wait long. was surprised to see they also offered gopchang as a ayce item! we were very pleased with our first visit here and will be looking forward to our next visit! shout out to the owner! thank you for the little gift! read more

This place was pretty good I'm giving one star off because of the parking and the location so inconvenient . The inside is kind of dated last time I went but the food was great and the service was nice . I believe they even give u a parking pass if u park in the lot. read more

We went to this place 3 times a week. It's such great value for money! It could get busy at times, but the service was always on point.

Nice kbbq spot with decent lighting and pretty attentive servers. The quality of the meat was pretty good, however the quality of sides was underwhelming - especially the steamed egg, which should be fluffy and puffy, was instead looking sad and deflated. My friend who went a different time said their egg was the same way, so probably not a one time issue. If you want just meats and don't care about sides then it's probably better than places like cast iron pot. At the beginning, the servers were attentive, but towards the end of our meal it was definitely lacking a bit. Parking can also be tricky but if you follow their website instructions a they will validate your ticket in a garage and you'll be okay read more

PROS: This place is a very nice Korean bbq spot. the staff is friendly and they even have one robot staff member that brings you to your seat. Their food is amazing and priced well while menu variety is plentiful CONS: Parking is horrendous. its either street parking, which you'll never find, or you can use the Ferry rd parking garage, which they will cover you for, but navigating to the garage and figuring out how to get to the restaurant is an adventure in itself OVERALL: Now that I know where to park and how to get to the place I'll definitely come back. but if you're new, learn about that first read more

@foxfoodreview "The #1 K-BBQ spot in NJ" You want to talk about an AWESOME Korean BBQ experience? I would rate O2 a 9.1/10!! The quality of meats is way better than other local k bbq spots I have tried. My favorite was that tender bulgogi and the rich flavor of the marinated steak. Don't sleep on the crispiness of the spicy pork belly ! Beyond the food, the staff were friendly and helped ease us into the korean bbq experience. There is also fun things there, like a photobooth, arcade games, and party music for birthdays (which we took shots on each time haha). 1.5 hour wait - not worth the wait. Turn around now if you are debating waiting. This is more of a 2.5 but, I will round up. AMBIANCE This place is a lot larger than it looks which is great because they are pretty popular. The place was packed but this is definitely not the best kBBQ spot out there. The tables are pretty spaced out, the decor is cool, and the booths are hard. The back support is wooden opposed to upholstery. SERVICE They don't really explain anything so if you have never been here, it's all you can eat. You can have up to 4 meats at a time but, the cooker fits only so much. I don't know if they are supposed to cook it, we requested it but cooked it ourselves. FOOD UM...in one word...disappointing. Unless you order a marinade meat (like the Kolbi steak- which is responsible for 2/2.5 of this review) don't expect the meat itself to have much flavor. It was a lot paler than we were all used to. Some teriyaki sauce would have been nice; when asked we were told meats were seasoned. The marinade was pretty thin. So thin, that the juices spilled into the sauces they provide while the waiter put the meats on the grill. Also, the meat comes really large. One first round our waiter cut it, the other round he did not. We could not even eat all you can eat, was not our jam. Don't recommend. Especially if you drive. The parking lot is like a maze located in the underground (very steep ramp under apartments in the "mall"). read more

rich was amazing at accommodating our party of 15! He was very attentive and helpful during our time here. Will definitely be coming back!

One of my favorite KBBQ places so far in Jersey! We did a day trip down from northern NJ because Hubby works in the area and said this was a highly recommended spot and we wanted to try it. We've lived in SoCal and frequented the KBBQ joints so I was excited to see how this one fared. Definitely did not disappoint! The meats were well seasoned/marinated and the sides were fresh and tasted delicious. I'm a sucker for potato salad whenever we sit down for KBBQ and left a happy gal + mama. My four boys love their meats and our waiter kept their favorites coming! Everyone was nice and friendly, helped when we had questions so it was great. I hesitate going out sometimes because my two young toddlers are active but the food kept them seated and quiet from start til finish. The place is clean and well maintained. We can't wait to be back! read more

The food was absolutely delish! The service was exceptional very friendly makes you feel very comfortable! We came with the kids and they enjoyed it very much. First time trying Korean bbq and it was a fun experience. Came with a large group and ordered different cutlets of beef and chicken (no pork), rice cakes, and a Makosa Tower. My favorite of the meats was the marinated chicken and the salad had a sweet marinade that had me eating all night. I love the way they do birthdays...techno bday song, flickering lights, and the whole restaurant joins in the celebration. The staff were all attentive and helpful the whole time. As far as parking goes, they have a garage next door for which they validate your ticket or try your luck with street parking. read more

Came here a few times and I really like this place. Free parking in parking lot, just have to bring your ticket to restaurant to get it scanned. Got the pork belly (thick), kalbi/galbi and brisket. It was very good. Don't forget to get the mushrooms, not on menu. The price and the fact you can get kalbi/galbi or steak items without a price increase is great. Bang for the your buck and great service although I did have to flip the meats here and there. O2 is slightly better than cast iron IMO (both are good, just my preference) read more

This is by far was the best AYCE Korean BBQ we had in New Jersey. I would go back to eat here again but it's about an hour and a half away from where I live. My daughter who also loves this place rates this as one of her top choices. The staff was attentive and readily available for orders and cooking. The place is in a residential neighborhood so parking is a little difficult so you would need to enter the parking lot at the side of the building and navigate the labyrinth of level parking. Then you have to work your way up to the street level via stairs or elevators and one may be lost in the numerous turns. Overall, if you manage to get yourself to the place, you won't be disappointed. I have spoken highly about this place at work that a group of us are already scheduling a food road trip down to Jersey. Enjoy the food. read more

Had dinner during the week with couple gfs. Parking is a bit confusing here. You park at the gallery--steep hill to get into parking garage. They validate your parking or you can find street parking in the area. Views are great. The two stars are for the quality of meats which i thought were great and the waiting area had seating, some claw machines and an electronic dart board. The meats were good. Sides were great. Service was all over the place. You didn't have one specific server--they all worked as a team, if you needed something else be sure to grab one of them as they walk by. They flip your meats for you every few minutes and it's always a different person. There was one specific server who I thought was pretty rude. He was tall with glasses. He accidentally dropped one of our cups which had spilled a bit of water of my friend--didn't really hear an apology--when he came back with a replacement cup he would walk by and sorta slammed it on the table and kept it moving. He did this a couple times. If we asked for another soju he'd just drop it by the table and kept moving again. Just kinda rude. Never really asked if we needed anything else or how was everything. For the sides it did take awhile--my lettuce wasn't throughly washed--i had one of those live tiny bugs in the lettuce which turned me off completely. The same rude server had said maybe it was from the grill--but it wasn't i showed my friend the lettuce and she saw it was an Alice crawling bug. For this they did comp one of our sojus which I didn't expect. Another issue was we had asked about 4 different times to 4 different servers that we were still waiting for goyza. It did take a while. Overall I wouldn't wanna come back due to the service itself. But the quality of the meats was delish. read more

Love the food and the vibe here normally. But...this time was different. Started out great but then halfway through they put on the football game (using an illegal stream) and all of the servers turned to zombies. Our food burned and they pretty much stopped serving us. I asked them to turn it back to the music videos and he played dumb with a grin on his face. Paying for service... not for you to watch football. read more

Love this spot. We come here at least once a month. The food is incredible, especially the beef bulgogi and steak. The staff is very friendly and they help you cook the meats, which is very helpful. This is my third time coming here because I love this spot a lot. Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed with my recent experience. The staff was not as organized and on point as usual with catering to our table. Some downsides to my experience was the fact that they forgot to turn on the grill and let the meat sit there for 10 minutes until we figured out the issue. They did not bring us the sodas we ordered until we reminded them. They also did not bring out our rice so we were eating one part of the meal without the other. And we also had to remind them to switch our grills because it was covered in char. They are usually on top of all of this but I believe it could be due to low staff. Despite this, I would definitely give them another chance. Hopefully they have more staff next time! read more

Awesome place. Friendly and helpful staff, nice ambience/vibe, not too much commotion. We went there on a slower day but i can see the place definitely getting busy on a friday night. Food was amazing and they had lots of options as well as the fixin's on the table. The dinner price was typical for a Korean BBQ, but nothing outrageous. Would recommend for a date or a night out with friends/family. read more

Overall, me and my boyfriend had a really good time. We came here for lunch but it was just so much food that it ended up being our dinner. First, we came when it was empty everyone was wearing a mask, gloves, and our temperature got checked at the door. They enforced social distancing by not allowing people in tables to be sitting directly behind one another. As soon as we sat down, we scanned the menu and it was on our phone. We ordered all our meats and sides within 5 minutes of sitting down. The quality of the meat was phenomenal nothing was frozen , rice was great , the lettuce was fresh and the waiters were really nice and attentive. It is one set price and all you can eat. One huge plus that I appreciated was the amount of table space that we had for all our food and the amount of meat itself. The reason, I took off one star was not because of the food or the service we recieved but because of the ambience. When we first got there it was extremely quit and I felt like I almost had to whisper which made me and my boyfriend feel extremely uncomfortable. But overall , really nice place great quality food, great price , great environment outside would come back! read more

Came in with some family for a small celebration. We had a reservation ahead of time. Because this restaurant is in a high-volume area of Edgewater, we were happy to see that they validate garage parking for customers. We arrived at the designated garage listed on our reservation. As someone who has had plenty of experience garage parking in different cities, this was one of the worst garages I have ever seen. The floors were extremely confusing and did not go in numerical order. The flow of traffic in the garage was different on each floor. There was also a ridiculous amount of construction within the garage, making it even more confusing to get from floor to floor. Once we had finally parked and made it out of that insane garage, we were excited to eat. We arrived in time for our reservation, but we waited a few minutes while our table was set. I had to use the restroom as we were waiting; it was pretty gross and unkempt. I expected better for a place like this. As soon as we were seated, we took a few minutes to look at the menu. They charge a flat fee for KBBQ, but you still get to choose your selection of meats, appetizers, and sides. We went for a few Veggie Dumpling and Tteokkbokki orders. We chose a selection of about 3 different cuts of beef, 1 type of chicken, and some veggie orders. Although we were initially being taken care of by one server, it seemed like a team effort. Different servers would bring items to our table. On each table they have a selection of sauces and small Banchan appetizers to eat with your meal. They also bring over bowls of steamed rice to eat with the meat. Once our meats were brought over, they got the grill started. This KBBQ place is somewhere between others in terms of cooking meat. They seem to be pretty set on getting your meats started and checking in them as they cook. However, you're still allowed to move items on and off the grill to your liking. I found the experience fun; I would have also been OK being a little more independent with the cooking. In terms of food flavor and quality, it was solid. I wasn't a huge fan of the appetizers. I'm someone who has had a lot of Korean food, and I didn't find any of them taste very good. The Veggie Dumplings were bland, and the Tteokkbokki had a strange texture compared to others I've had. The meats were decent, but almost all of the dipping sauces had a very strange aftertaste. The service throughout was OK. The employees were diligent about checking on the meat and cooking process. However, I didn't find that any of them were particularly friendly or paid attention to customer service. Overall, this place was OK. KBBQ is always a pretty fun experience. I didn't find that anything stood out as special to me. I found the bathroom, garage, and service to all be weak points for this place. Pricing was pretty standard for this kind of food. It was about $40 per person before tax and tip. I liked the company and the meats, but I don't think I'd pay a visit to this location again. read more
