Gaelic sauce is juts insipid, definitely lacking acidity of any sort. Biggest disappointment was side of large hot sauce. Tried Tarboosh a weeks ago. We got the Lamb Shish Kabob Platter & the Chicken Shawarma Platter. Everything was so subtly yet beautifully spiced. It came with extra pita bread in a basket for us to share. We also asked for extra garlic sauce. I had this lovely drink from here which I forgot to click a picture of - Licorice Iced Tea - it was red in color and had a nice refreshing taste. I didn't get the "authentic" Lebanese taste though. The service is good, but food took a lot of time despite not being crowded. Pita, garlic sauce everything came towards the end of our meal. Like - we couldn't really enjoy everything together because of these minor delays. Over all, the food is good and a place I would definitely visit again. read more

I highly recommend. I've been here multiple times and I absolutely love the gyros, whole chicken & the mix platter.

They clearly hate women, and are super disrespectful. They have 1-2 people working in there slow as hell, and left my food sitting on the counter for 5 mins before I requested my food get bagged. Forbid I speak up they started spitefully taking longer, and pretending they don't speak English. Like actually pretending and laughing about it. A shit place with shit service and pompous men. Hole in the wall. Inside decorated nicely. Dont expect a fanfare greeting. Seat yourself and scan the qr code for the menu. Everything we ordered was bomb with the exception of the pita. I like to think its made in house and toasted but this seemed like it came from a pack. Falafel was crisp and fresh, the lentil cakes were a bit tough but delish. Hummus with beef was a star as was the sampler. The lebneh was fire. I would come here again for a lamb gyro bowl or shrimp. Waitress was friendly. An adorable kid cleaned our table. We ordered falafel with salad, Baba ghanoush, baklava and a type of cous cous dessert (not pictured.) While we waited we admired the restaurant. The decor was beautiful. The table covers were colorful and the lights were cute. Most of the time that I was distracted I was watching the music videos that were playing during my stay- fun stuff. Now it's hard to comment on the food when all we had were appetizers/sides but the food was good. The desserts and Baba ghanoush were from the fridge. Delicious food & friendly staff, I'm so glad they opened! We went on Saturday evening at 7:30. My husband, mother-in-law and my daughter all went. Most of the tables were full and a large family were seated near the window, so the place looked like it's already catching on. We ordered our dinners: I had lamb kebabs, my husband had the okra lamb stew, my mother-in-law had eggplant salad and my daughter had chicken shawarma. Everything was great, although I'll admit I didn't try my husband's okra, I'm not an okra fan. The owner, a lovely woman, came out and gave us all her lentil soup to try. OMG, so delicious! It was nothing like traditional Italian or American lentil soup. Instead, it was pureed lentil soup that was deliciously seasoned. I was in love with it. Her son was our server and he might need a *little* coaching on how to read a table's wants, but all in all it was a great night and we definitely plan on returning very soon. Good start to a grand opening! Came here on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm. The sign said Grand Opening but the store was fairly empty. There was a photographer taking photos of the food in one corner and no one really sitting down to eat. We picked a table and were the only ones seated (some people were coming in and out for take-out). Waiter came to order drinks. I do have to say I subtracted a star because of service. He seemed VERY new and though we had patience for him, he just wasn't very good. He never thought to serve us tap water (we asked twice.. he tried giving us bottled water, but we didn't want that). When we ordered hummus we weren't given small plates. Our overall experience took 2 hours.. he forgot one order (lamb shawarma and not chicken)... service I expect to improve, but he was clearly frazzled and we were the only ones seated! We ordered hummus, mixed meat shawarma, lamb shawarma platter, and grilled salmon platter. The food is a 4.5/5. The hummus is one of the best I've ever had! Very fresh and delicious. The shawarmas were good but the lamb was a little mushy. I preferred the chicken. The salmon was the star of the day! It had this amazing dry rub and was just perfectly cooked! It was served with tabbouleh salad and rice. For $16 pretty reasonable!! A lady we assumed was the owner came by to ask us how everything was.. she was very sweet and we had a pleasant experience. The KOFTA meat was off. I mean it tasted off and was rubbery which meant it was not fresh meat or the skewer meat was prepared and had sat for awhile. It didnt taste fresh. LAMB stew was good. The baklava had too much Pasteur and not enough nuts but then again, I'm not big in baklava unless it really juicy ( I'm particular about baklava). When we first opened the menu there was a little bug there to welcome us. We ordered the shishtaouk and the chicken shawarma both with rice. Some of the chunks of chicken from the Shish taouk were rubbery and pink. (We have a video). The chicken shawarma is where things get worse, the chicken was extremely undercooked and had the strongest stench. It reeked of raw chicken and just had a rankness to it. One bite and I had to give it up, gag worthy. Upon addressing the stench to the manager, she had the biggest attitude and rather than just dealing with the issue professionally, she tried to pin it on us saying "no other customer has complained so far today". By far the WORST customer service in the world. Not to mention the food is not authentic at all. That I can get by but after the service we received when asking why the shawarmas didn't come with anything inside besides the meat we get nasty attitudes in return. Food was delivered and the owner said he would not come back for them but we had to return them ourselves. Once we get there owner made us wait and then after we explain that the sandwich came with nothing and they usually do he said we called him a liar and he won't be fixing the sandwiches. I love this place! The food is so tasty and seasoned to perfection-- not overpowering, not flavorless. It is just perfect. My only complaint are the semi-small portions and semi-hard vegetables included with the mini mixed grill. I did ask that the veggies be steamed longer and they obliged and ensured that the veggies were softer the next time I ordered the mini mixed grill. I would recommend this place to anyone! Everything was mediocre- bad, food is not fresh. I ordered a few things, including okra-lamb stew which never came (I called an asked for refund].. but that was probably a blessing in disguise. Kibba was gross, inedible, old and soggy. Chicken kebab was bland, no grill flavor. Kofta was decent but dry. Even the rice pooding was disappointing. I think they just microave everything out of the freezer. I only enjoyed the fries that's about it, and even that I had to add salt+pepper. Was looking forward to eating here because I am half Egyptian and we don't have many middle eastern restaurants. The food was fine however my okra with lamb was luke warm. My sister ordered the lamb shawarma and she liked it. The lentil soup was piping hot and actually very tasty. We went in with my nephew who is 9 months old and naturally as babies do started fussing so we had to run out. When I asked for the check the ladies behind the counter blatantly ignored me. Also ordered some plain hummus, which was delicious and fresh with fresh pita, and got some macaroni bechamel and I was very worried going into it cause macaroni from a halal place can be very different.
