We had been to KC Prime many times before, but sad to say yesterday was the last. Yes, it's overpriced, but we are willing to pay for quality. That was not the case. We ordered 2 of the specials and were told that only 1 was left about 10 minutes later. On a Saturday at 6:30, really? Then don't offer it! We changed our order only to be told that there will be an up charge for the ordered sides! Are you kidding? Luckily that was addressed. When our steaks arrived, they were undercooked and cold. $30+ for a cold rare steak and a server with an " I'd rather be someplace else" attitude that wouldn't quit. Find a other steakhouse. KC prime is not worth the money anymore. 2 house wines and 2 gin and tonics $45. I guess they want to make up for Covid losses. Seriously an awesome culinary experience. Been to the Lawrence location multiple times, always leaving stuffed n happy. Server ( so sorry can't remember his name, Sage,Cage? ) was super awesome. Chilled seafood platter was perfect. Scallops were like sugar, lump crab super fresh, clams n oysters legit, split lobby tail was stupid yummy, shrimp were basically the same as the lobby tails. So good. Filet for the chica, 20oz prime for me were cooked to perfection. They had a nice crowd for a bad weather Tuesday which was a great sign . Can't wait to return. Awesome. Came here for Father's Day this year! The bread baskets are a great starter!! Great trio accompaniment of hummus, oil, and butter. My only warning is to save room for the main courses!! We had the calamari as an appetizer and I believe it disappeared in about 2 minutes for our 6 top. The French onion soup was also a great hit. The house salad (which I didn't know came with our meal?) was unremarkable. Steaks are always top notch. Our waiter was great! Noteworthy was that my prime rib was extremely dry. The waiter immediately took it back to the chef, and returned with a delicious cut perfectly cooked to medium. The wasabi mashed potatoes are fantastic! I'm not a horseradish fan, so I asked for a side of au jus which was perfect! I can't believe that people actually rate this place anything over horrible. I've been here three times and each was a major let down. The last and final time they over cooked my steak...I asked for medium rare and got well! I told the server, she apologized took my plate and returned 25 minutes later. By that point the rest of the table had finished eating. Needless to say I didn't eat. Warning...anytime a restaurant does major discounting: no corkage fees on Sunday's, $20 off coupons frequently throughout the year, etc.; you should stay clear. Also, the fact that they own a liquor license but allow byob boggles my mind. Revamp your beverage menu and prices if it's not working, train your staff and get better quality ingredients (god knows you're charging for them). read more

My wife and I eat out 6 out 7 nights a week (empty nest syndrome). We have been living in Doylestown over 20 years, allowing us to watch restaurants continuously recycle themselves..... Some times for the better sometimes for the worse. I tell you this so as to be clear that eating-out approaches a profession for my wife and I. As professionals, we appreciate a well run restaurant. Unfortunately, K.C. Prime barely approaches a rating of "amateur". K.C. Has yet too open the Restaurant 101 manual...... Chapter1: warm food.......warm plate. (Guess the manager skipped day 1) Chapter 2: A salad, if prepared in advance (as was our's) should not be in a sub-zero environment prior to serving. As seen in Chapter 2 of Restaurant management, water freezes and expands in temperatures below 32F- causing a limp unappealing salad. Chapter 3: a medium rare steak should be slightly warm to the touch in the center. Nowhere in Chapter 3 does it instruct the cook (avoiding the term chef here at all costs), that medium rare should be cold and purple. Chapter 4: When associating costs of 30.00 to 50.00 for a steak - an 8.00 dollar charge for a veggie side is criminal. Alas, one's plate looketh empty with just a baked potato and your under-cooked steak! We'll occupy that plate real estate with a large frozen tin of butter....... Doesn't that look better! Chapter 5: Table linens - Manager skipped that day also, tables sport a dineresque appeal, faux wood and all. Sorry KC........ We'll wait for the next occupant of this space. I have to say this was the worst place I have ever been. Don't let the place being packed with people fool you. We both ordered the full rack of baby back ribs. When they first put the food down it didn't look right (trust me I know my ribs). We both take a bite and notice that the ribs were BOILED! Really this is not how you do BBQ ribs. The so called home made chips were gross and the salad dressing tasted like chemicals. We looked around at other customers plates and the steak looked fatty and not everyone finished their plates (need I say more if it's suppose to be good UR plate would be clean) We won't be going here ever again even if it was free. Just celebrated a friend's birthday here. She reserved a table for 8. All 8 of us ordered several alcoholic beverages, some of which tasted terrible. We tended to stick with the bottles of champagne that were brought by fellow guests. We all ordered appetizers, two of which the server forgot to bring. Our entrees were average, nothing blew us away and one steak was over cooked. By the time the server came back to our table to check on things, most guests were already finished eating. Terrible service. Not only was our server slow, but he was arrogant and seemed bothered by common dining requests. KC Prime is our new go to place when we want a great meal. My family has been here twice. Once for Father's Day Brunch and the other for dinner to celebrate my son's high school graduation. Both meals were awesome! Brunch was very nice. $30 a person. The restaurant set up stations for the buffet. They had your usual breakfast fair which was delicious. But they also had an omelet station, waffle, and carving station. The carving station had a delicious ham, beef and one other item (can't remember). They had breakfast pastries, bread (toaster too) and smoked salmon with accoutrements. They had a delicious Caesar salad, tomato mozzarella salad, and pasta salad. There were petit four for dessert, they were ok. Our next meal here was on a Sunday night for dinner. I made a reservation for 6 pm and we were seated right away. We sat in a large booth that sat 5 but could have sat 6 comfortably. My family ordered the scallops, filet, salmon, NY Strip, and chicken stir fry. All of our meals were delicious! The presentations were so beautiful. I really appreciate well thought out plated meals! We also had dessert since we were celebrating. We had the key lime cheese cake, chocolate layer cake, and the gelato trio. The desserts were good, but not fabulous. And I also think that with the rockin' entree presentations, that the dessert presentations could use some work. Just so the entire dining experience is cohesive. I would have never thought to stop by this place. It's located in a business development complex and I had just figured it for another Applebee's type place. Lol this is clearly not that. It's a great upscale steakhouse to go to if you don't feel like driving all the way downtown. I came here with a group of about 10 people and service was quick with no errors. Our lovely waiter Kathy made sure everyone was taken care of without hovering. We came for happy hour and apps were $5. We shared them at the table and I can definitely recommend the sliders (though I have no idea what they meant by "spicy ketchup" because it was regular old ketchup and not a hint of spice). The quesadillas had a little too much going on with crab chicken and who knows what else though. So I'm not a meat person but for my entree I had the chicken and it was great (no idea what else to say on that lol). But you guys have to try the gelato. It's seasonal so hurry now. Because you get a sampler of three flavors and one of them is sweet corn. Of course I had to try something so crazy sounding. And I was surprised at how well corn goes with ice cream! "Good things come to those who wait." After a six month pandemic hiatus, we ventured inside into KC Prime in Warrington for a long awaited special dinner last night. We were greeted warmly-- at an acceptable social distance -- by the cordial hostess (and the owner) and seated promptly in a booth. The restaurant is sparkling clean, and the booths now have high plexiglass dividers atop the backs. The nearest customer was seated quite far away, the wait staff well masked, and the service-- as always-- superb. Menus are now available in disposable hard copy or as QR code access for phone. I had the blue cheese & bacon wedge appetizer-- terrific, ice cold, and enjoyed thoroughly. My wife had the spicy ahi tuna tacos -- a trio handsomely presented and fresh. My entree was a medium rare filet -- done exactly as ordered and served with mashed sweet potatoes. My wife had a strip steak-- also perfectly done and served with a large, loaded baked potato. Dessert for us included blueberry cheesecake, chocolate mousse, and fresh brewed decaf coffee. What a fine meal! We'll be back soon! read more

We started with the seafood tower which has oysters, clams, shrimp cocktail, lump crab meat and a lobster tail. Everyone was fresh and tasted amazing. Then had the house salad which I loved the house dressing and for my entree I had the ribeye with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. The only thing I didn't like was the mashed potatoes as they were extremely heavy on the garlic side. This is a must for a nice steak dinner in the Doylestown area. read more

That being said, I thought the service could have been better. I would recommend to someone to come here but don't drive out of your way. Decor - awful. Sometimes you just need a steak! Nice decor and attention to design and details. They spent a lot of money setting up the plastic walls between the booths. And it really is optically pleasing, don't let the thought of plastic walls turn you off. They did this to take care of their customers in the age of Covid. The steaks were great. Full thick and juicy cuts. One suggestion, we had the house SMALL salad divided in half. It was still huge! And delicious. Corn, chicken and shrimp in abundance. Service was super. Flew in for my mother's birthday and already had a private chef scheduled. After the chef canceling hours before the event, i came to Yelp, searching for takeout to the equivalence of a fancy chef curated meal. I stumbled upon KC. The food looked delicious! I ordered and they were able to accommodate my party of 10 meal in hours. The hostess was kind, thorough and accommodating. I arrived at the restaurant, fresh from the airport only to discover i ordered from the Lawrenceville location (45 minutes away). Devastated and my party starting within the hour, i didn't know what to do. The manager somehow worked magic. He had my food delivered to their location and even provided me and my guests with appetizers in the interim. Sure, great customer service, but was the food good? Was it!!! It was AMAZING! The quality, taste, detail, presentation, all 5 stars. The lobster tail was divine, crab cake was so flavorful and fresh, Salmon and Cocktail shrimp were also fresh and delicious. My mouth is still savoring the risotto and mashed potatoes. My grandma had the NY Strip and loved the texture and flavor. Do yourself a favor and support KC Prime.
