I stumbled across this place while on a four hour layover or in Sun Valley ID. The menu has a lot of options. I chose the number two which was a taco and two enchiladas. We were given chips, salsa, and bean dip to enjoy while we wait. The salsa was amazing. Unfortunately that was the only good I had. We waited nearly 30 minutes for our food and when the meal came out to the table my taco was soggy like it had been laying in the enchilada sauce for a while. The enchiladas were bland at best. To top off the experience the server was visibly angry when we asked to have separate checks. I will definitely not be coming back. read more

We were impressed by the delicious Mexican cuisine found at KB's in Hailey. The regular sized burrito was monstrous and the enchiladas with rice and beans proved to be a filling meal. Live music on Thursday out on the patio made this a perfect location for dinner on a summer night. read more

Updating my review from years ago. I have been back a few times since and my experiences were much better than my first visit. Fish tacos were good and had a good make your own burrito. Perhaps my first visit so many years ago was just an off day. However, I stand by the sauces not being very good compared to other places. read more

my favorite quick cheap eat in Sun Valley area. friendly service and interesting variation of texmex. fish, shrimp, chicken, beef, pork, miso, and tofu taco. around the sheep fest in October, they carry lamb taco as well. their corn chowder is really good too. read more

I ordered nachos (chips & cheese) for my 3 kids & one order of street tacos. I was charged $45. I felt like that amount was too high for what we ordered. I asked the cashier why it was so high & she told me that chips & cheese are $9 each. I told her that I only wanted the small size because they were for kids, so she gave me $6 back, which still made our order way more expensive than it should have been. Then the cashier turned around & started handling the chips when she had just been touching cash & did not wash her hands. The food took 20 minutes to be prepared & it was definitely not worth what I paid for it. The entire experience was disappointing & frustrating. I won't be back. read more

Over the years, I have enjoyed looking at the pictures on the wall of patrons wearing KB T-shirts or baseball caps in various locales. I don't understand the rave reviews for this place. It was below average in our experience. The quesadillas barely had any cheese, the pork was dry and lacking flavor, the fish tacos were mostly cabbage, the shrimp tacos consisted of a few pieces of overcooked salad shrimp and loads of cabbage. The "cabo sauce" tasted like pink mayonnaise and the salsa had little flavor as well. The enchiladas were not rolled but flat like a quesadilla with the tiniest bit of cheese on top and a green salsa, no sauce. Even the rice and beans, normally one of my favorite parts of a Mexican meal were uninspiring, and the only meals that included them were the enchiladas. How they have 3 locations and are opening a fourth is beyond me. read more

We had driven 10 hours, and were tired and hungry when we drove into Hailey. We had read about KB's, and Mexican food seemed like a great idea. We came in less than one hour before closing, and only two other couples were there. The place had bright lighting, had some nice decorations, but was not what you would call and intimate dining spot. We walked up to the counter, not expecting much in the way of service, but we were surprised. (You order at the counter.) The clerk gladly answered all of our questions, and even told us about the special tamales that had been made that day by the owners mother. We settled on two tacos (fish and steak) ,one tamale, and I had a burrito. We also ordered one side of beans and rice, and a glass of wine and one tall beer. The food arrived soon, and it met our expectations. My wife loved the tacos, and my burrito was just plain huge....and good! The tamale was awesome too. We had so much food we could barely eat it all. The clerk came around twice to see if everything was OK. When we left the clerk and cook came out to say goodbye. We told them how much we had enjoyed our meal. Our meal was very inexpensive, but our dining experience was awesome. read more

Ok,, the burritos are tasty, but $9.99. Really, what a ripoff. I called and complained to the owner how over-the-top that price is. His response was that they use local ingredients and produce is expensive. He also mentioned that Hailey is the most expensive out of all the KB's locations right now. How backwards is this? The average residents of the valley live here. Charge Ketchum these prices not Hailey. I am sorry, but I am done with KB's. I can make my own burritos for this price. read more

This was a surprising letdown; overpriced and overrated. We are locals and wanted a quick weekend lunch. Have always had better experiences with KBs in years past and hadn't been there recently. Two fairly standard burritos came to over $21.00 before tip. They were poorly, (loosely) wrapped and heavy on the content other than meat, e.g. rice & beans, My wife was more than half way through hers before she encountered the first piece of meat, which was chopped suspiciously small.The seasoning was bland and the flavor un-interesting. For a $10.00 burrito I expect excellence and was greeted with average-to-poor. On the plus side the service was friendly and efficient and some of the ingredients appeared fresh. read more
