Super super reasonable for a ski town. Cute spot in a train car, pretty big too. They have their own parking in back. I had a fish taco. Best part was the tortilla, the tortillas are handmade and delish. The fish was cooked well, standard tilapia or something similar, which isn't my favorite, but no complaints on preparation. Really liked the cabbage toppings and it was full of them. Ordered the pupusas later, I liked it (a tad greasy), kid likes the stuff back home much better, but a filling lunch for $15 you can't beat. It's 3 for $15, we had beans and a loroco and a jalapeno. Kid had the tacos - steak and chicken and really liked them. We went to El Niño for lunch on the recommendation of a friend who lives in Sun Valley. Since it was lunch we decided to split the chicken fajitas. They were possibly the best I've ever had. The grilled chicken and veggies were as you'd expect but they were served with fresh, hand made tortillas, guac, beans and rice. The owner also served them with a unique salsa that was "a little bit spicy but very delicious ". Even though it was lunch the portion was more than enough for two. I liked the setting inside a train car. Cozy and quaint, but a little stuffy on a warm day. If they could've opened a window it would've been perfect. They had plenty of outside seating however so if eating al fresco is your thing they have it in abundance. I'd definitely eat here again. read more

Located in an actual train car (which is even for sale), this husband and wife team serve up some truly delicious food. I went with a couple of basic tacos (chicken and steak) , but the real stars of the table were the pupusas and the chicken con crema that my husband ordered. Everything came on freshly made tortillas, which made all the difference. Just a word of caution, the deck outside is a little rickety with a few nails or screws sticking out, so watch your step. This place was fantastic. It's no frills on environment. It's great for when you just want to relax and enjoy your company over some delicious food. They brought chips, (spicy) salsa, and a bean dip to start. I recommend the mixed Pupusas (beans, pork, and cheese). It comes with three, but two is filling. The Curtido is delicious. A perfect blend of cabbage, carrots, onions, and a little salty seasoning. We got there around lunch time. It was not busy, but the staff had their work cut out for them. Really had a great lunch here on our Sun Valley visit. Wife and son had carne asada burritos, other one had a quesadilla and I had some chicken and steak tacos. Do not pass this place up!! We were looking for a spot to grab lunch after a fun day of spring skiing at Sun Valley. The train car exterior caught our attention right away. I figured I should check Yelp to see what the reviews were like and we knew we had to try it when I saw they have an average of 4.9 stars! They are a Salvadoran restaurant that specializes in pupusas. I'm thankful I read some reviews that recommended a draft beer because they were ice cold and hit sooo nicely after a ski day! My 12oz beer was less than $4. My husband got the massive 32oz goblet for his and it was still only $7! We started with chips for $2.50, it was a huge basket and they came with bean dip and the most delicious salsa! The salsa was spicy, fresh, and so flavorful. We split 3 pupusas, our favorite was the bean and cheese one! I got a beef taco and a chicken taco for my entree, both came on homemade tortillas and had plenty of meat. This is how all tacos should taste! Perfection. They have house made green sauce and red sauce which were great additions to the tacos. My husband got a carne asada burrito and loved it! He gets burritos often and said this one ranks towards the top of his list! This was one of those places where you say "this is sooo good" after literally every new item you try! Not only was the food incredible, but we loved sitting outside on the patio that has a beautiful view of the mountains. Our total for everything was $52 before tip which was such a steal. Disguised as a rickety old train car on the side of the road in a small resort town in rural Idaho, is actually a time machine fueled by AUTHENTIC food and nostalgia. One bite of the beans that were served upon sitting down at the table with chips and salsa and I was immediately transported to a place so happy, so near and dear to my heart I choked back tears in front of my friends. The place that I am referring to as I closed my eyes and took in the tastes and smells was in fact my Bisabuela's backyard picnic table. She lived in a small industrial corner of Detroit in the short time that I knew her and at that picnic table is where I spent almost every Saturday afternoon digesting still to this day, some of the most memorable culinary experiences of my life. AND THAT DOESN'T EVEN TOUCH THE PUPUSAS. I just got back from a trip to El Salvador and these blow away anything that I had while I was there. Seriously, if you live anywhere near Ketchum, or visit here on the regular, or are even just passing through town... Stop. Stop what you are doing, and even if you're not hungry get some to go for later. Even if you don't know what a pupusa is, get some. While you're at it get a side of the rice and beans. It might take a minute, but that's because everything is handmade aka WORTH IT. This is one of the mountain cafes spread around Mt. Baldy in Ketchum. Judged as such, although located closer to the downtown. Unusual architecture (old railroad car), simple décor inside, Salvadorean food (think Mexican, but with papusas) - a good place for an apres-ski dinner for $25 or so per person. Tip: the portions for some of the more expensive dishes are enormous. Unless extremely hungry, sharing is recommended. read more

Easily one of the best places to eat in Ketchum. Firstly, the staff was extremely friendly which bumps up the food a little IMO. My lengua tacos were charred well, and extremely flavorful. The tortillas were soft, and it was easy to tell they were homemade. My girlfriend got mixed pupusas which also went above and beyond expectations. Overall, for the price and for the lack of reviews this place is a MUST go. Unique scenery given from the shape of the restaurant provides and fun and open environment to have your lunch or dinner. Wouldn't mind seeing a little more salsa options, but the two I had did more than enough to satisfy my need for some heat. read more
