This is a terrible company to deal with. We have tried for 5 years (the duration of our leases). The leases are now coming up for renewal. The lease renewal rate is very overpriced. In addition, the Kyocera TaskAlfa printers that we use have always had a problem printing larger Qty print jobs (50+ pages). It slows down to about a page every 5-10 seconds. KBA has been unwilling/unable to fix the reported issue and has said that the print speed problem is a matter of opinion. How can print speed be an opinion? When you are paying over 30k for a printer, it should perform better than the $200 inkjet that sits next to it. It does not. FYI - Our sales rep at KBA is John Soloman. Finally, we have a printer that was not used for several months (due to Covid). KBA decided to ESTIMATE usage and bill us over $500/mo. We reported that the printer has no usage and the estimate was wrong. We still have not had the account corrected and have now received a new invoice for 2x the amount. Anyways...steer well clear of this company and its ethically challenged sales reps. It feels sort of like dealing with a used car salesman. read more

I tried to lease a copier. I am very glad I put the term " two week trial period" my salesman was absolutely horrible: he delivered the new machine missing a requested a tray for the ledger size, tried to save a buck. Salesman would come force his way to our office without set a time. Their I T department is even worse than their sales: they don't know what there doing. They came back and forth to set up three computer 3 times without completing the job. After I turn down the lease, my salesman put a bad review on Google for my company and me personally. Spoke with a lady named Christina; she's the worst customer service "rep" I've ever spoken to. Tried finding out the status of our machine - tracking of the part that was ordered and when our machine would be serviced. She would barely let me finish talking before cutting me off. I asked how we could expedite the service - could we overnight the part to our office, could we be put on schedule for service vs waiting longer, etc. She just seemed very irritated and quick to defend situation/problem.. As if she's the one with the problem! I finally asked to talk to a tech vs her... If you're a busy business that goes a week without a machine, you'd understand how problematic this can be, but not once did she say "sorry" or "I understand", fully listened, or even offered a real solution/answer to my problem. Her answers were very short, disruptive, and lacked full details. We basically bickered back and forth until I got what I wanted - A tech finally called me with an update on part, date, and time as to when our service would be. She was very unpleasant and rude to say the least. Sad we share the same name. Also, why was I having to call for an update vs them notifying me?! read more

Our machine never worked right. They would send out maintenance people who could never fix it. Their emails for the meter readings are so terrible. If you do not answer them the same day, they continually harass you. One day I received 5 emails from them asking for a meter reading. They threatened to put us in collections one time when I was away from my office for a week and didn't get the meter reading to them. They are completely unprofessional and I cannot believe that they are still in business considering the way that we were treated. We were their customers for almost ten years and never missed a contract payment. I can FINALLY afford a new copier with a BETTER company with GOOD reviews and I will NEVER do business with these people again. Whoever owns this company should pay more attention to the way your staff treats your contract customers because we are NOT in collections even though you would think we constantly were the way they treated us. read more

Avoid at all costs. I used to work at an office where we had a contract for using their printer. Our printer/copy/fax machine was working fine until one of the KBA salesmen convinced our boss to switch to a cheaper lease. So they swapped out the old machine and replaced it with another old machine. Linking all the computers to this machine was a total nightmare. It took about a week for them to get five computers to link to the new printer. Plus they told us that they'd send a trainer to teach us how to use the printer. The trainer arrived but it turned out she didn't know anything about the printer because she had been working for the company for only five days. The printer had so many issues than our previous machine. Phone service is pretty awful. They prefer to have you email them so they can schedule someone to check it out. But if you're a small company, time is of the essence. You have customers waiting on you. With only one printer to rely on, it's even more critical. Assistance with the company pretty much sucks. Some of the technicians are complete morons that think they know everything. I almost got into a verbal argument with one guy because he brought a horrible attitude to our office. Possibly the only reason we stuck with the company is because there was one technician who was our savior. He had worked with the company for a long time so he knew the in and outs of everything and he understood the shortcomings of KBA. He was so good that we built a good relationship with him. Super friendly guy! If it wasn't for him and the contract we probably would've pressured our boss to use a different company. read more

Kyocera makes a very good office grade copier printer. But the office staff can be abrasive and their sales account exec is slow to respond, and often misleading and borderline dishonest. We've done two back to back leases with them. Will not again. read more

We have been dealing with KBA for about two years now and despite some pretty sounding promises and a lot of business their service levels, attention to detail and basic skills like basic client communication are sorely lacking. Their technicians seem either unable to keep our printers running consistently, their management doesn't care unless we are offering them more business and only even began to take our complaints semi-seriously when we started bringing in a competitor's services. We have given up trying to get decent service out of them and are moving on. My advice to anyone looking for a company to provide printer/copiers, look elsewhere for your needs as KBA only wants your money. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! read more

We are so happy with our machines. Our main machine scans, prints in great color, is quick and has very few problems in which we're down and waiting for a technician. Angela gave us a great idea to lease out a second smaller machine for a back up. It's been great. Very inexpensive and acts as our sole fax machine and a second scanner/printer/copier. read more

If I could give them 1 star I would. The customer services since the machine was delivered has been subpar. Then only time they're easily accessible is when they want their money. They have a sales manager that doesn't understand how to deal with customers. I inquired about the end of the contract in April of 2021, with the inquiry to get a smaller machine. I was told my contract ran through mid November and that should talk later in the year. About 45 days before the contact expired I inquired again about the end of the term, it took 9 days for them to get back to me and the response was that I didn't turn in cancellation to Wells Fargo within 90 days so I would be automatically extended 90 days. When i spoke to Wells, they said it should have been initiated by KBA and that if I got the machine back by the contract term date I wouldn't be extended and I should reach out to KBA to get that cancellation taken care of. Another week went by and I reached back out to Wells since KBA did nothing again, I wasn't surprised by the silence. I was, however, surprised by the fact that it would be my responsibility to ship the machine to Irvine at my expense. When I called KBA about this, I was told they would take care of it as long as I leased another machine. I would strongly suggest you avoid this company, they could care less about their customers. read more

Nightmare copier! Our machine has never worked well. We even exchanged the machine for another one and the color still isn't right. It constantly prints smudges and lines and I have wasted too much time calling support and working with the support team fixing issues. The promises of a better machine are simply not true. I regret getting this machine and working with this company and look forward to the end of this contract. THE SAVINGS COMPARED TO COMPETITORS IS NOT WORTH IT! We literally have to go to FedEx Office to get good quality copies and with all the breakdowns we are there about every 8 weeks. read more

This company is not what they sell you. We leased two machines from them. The machines were not configured correctly from the beginning. It took several months to finally get the machines working according to our contract agreement. We tried on multiple occasions to adjust our print/copy limit and were told we would have to contact our sales rep. After multiple tries we could not get our rep to return a call or email. After two years of frustration we are moving our business to a company that appreciates our business and will do what they say. I would not recommend this company to someone I don't like. This company is the leader when it comes to Kyocera. I can tell you George Fidentzis is the man. Best there is, Best there was, Best there ever will be . Ask for him. This guy knows what he is talking about and repair wise as well as the best I have seen in the qame and we have been using him for 15 plus years . He is the Manager ask for him nothing stumps him. We have several printers on lease with KBA. They are HORRIBLE at best. Lots of emply promises and poor service. 3 times a week our printer is breaking down and we actually have to often use kinkos to do our printing because the KBA printers are very unreliable. My company is a client of KBA Docusys. Artie Atencio is our account manager. Always quick to respond to questions with real solutions. Unexpectedly ran out of black toner today for our Kyocera copier/fax/scanner and didn't have spare toner cartridge on stand-bye. Artie personally delivered 2 toner cartridges the same day. THAT is service. Good to know that if we're ever in a pinch again, KBA will do whatever it can to help us. read more

When I was trying to start up my small business I called to receive some information about copy machines/ fax machines/printers from this company I found in the yellow pages. The receptionist (Kathy) was extremely friendly and helpful and was able to connect me to a competent sales staff. I had a great time with my sales team and they followed through with all the requests that we had. We have had good luck with our machine for the most part. It does break down ...but it's a machine it will! Supplies are delivered Promptly and most service calls are answered with in 24 hours. We do have some issues printing heavy quantities of color at one time with smudging etc. but it is typically taken care of quickly. I think they are easy to work with and any machine will have its issues. For the other reviewers If having issues with machine and you didn't get anywhere I would call my your sales team as they are a good resource and might help get the ball rolling for you! read more
